Review Time
After being approved for a return (weird process, but ok) and incurring $100 to ship the item back, 3 months later and I still haven’t received a refund. On another refund, the “restocking fee” was more than half my refund. Had I known, I would have kept the product and resold it to recoup costs. They have some great products, but terrible customer service and an even worse return policy/procedure. Order with care.
Sent my order to the wrong location, did nothing to correct the problem. They first switched carrier from UPS to FedX which is a terrible action itself, FedX in NJ is awful!! UPS Always does a good job. No notification about any issue, no phone call to advise me there was trouble with the shipment - crickets - until I chased it down a week later to find out the status of my order. I'm a startup custom cabinet manufacturer and was hoping to use MyKnobs as a mainstay parts distributor - NOT NOW!!!
I've been purchasing from myknobs.com as my main source of door hardware as a contractor. After a decade I had my first customer service request when they sent all of my exterior knobs without key matching them. They blamed it on me and the customer service process was atrocious. The worst I've ever experienced as a professional contractor. But I am a professional and I ordered from them again. For the second order in the row they sent the knobs out without having them keyed to match. They then blamed me again even though I had photos of the notes I sent with the order and refused to fix the situation. Emtek the manufacturer of the knobs stepped up and immediately solved the proble, also suggesting I use build.com in the future
We ordered thousands of dollars worth of knobs for our home project. When we discovered a color difference and reordered replacement products from them, they would not take back product because we went over their 30-day return policy. This company should be ashamed of itself. Had we been aware of these strict return policies we would have gone elsewhere. Any company that is selling building hardware has to understand that these terms are too strict. Contractors get delayed and things happen. It wasn’t that we didn’t replace the product. We just wanted credit for what we couldn’t use. We are building a home so it wasn’t easy to align timing like a simple remodel in a kitchen. Beware of these ridiculous return policies. This company needs to reevaluate how they do business. I would never recommend them.
