ZERO would be a more accurate score!

If I could give this diabolical company a big fat ZERO I would have done, they are honestly that bad!Our recent experience is with regards to the Grantham office.We decided to use Newton Fallowell because just 3 years ago we had used their Lincoln office to sell our previous property and their level of professionalism was out of the top draw of client service and detailed attention, however the Grantham office staff don't appear to know the first letter of the word professionalism as they were that BAD!We decided to put our property onto the market on the 1st August having totally ignored the advice of NF to place it on at a fixed price, instead we had it put on at a figure which was several thousand below what was being suggested to us, however the sale price was marked as "Offers Over".Immediately our property went up on Rightmove etc., quite literally the phone lines were hot and we had 5 viewings only 2 days later which resulted in several offers that same day, all being above the marked price.When we were advised of these offers on the 4th August, that was the last time we heard anything from Newton Fallowell for 9 long weeks despite calling them on many occasions they could not, would not give us any information or updates as to how the sale was progressing.We have since discovered they are a franchised organisation with the owners of the franchise being the Belvoir Property Group whom I have now written to, but have never received a reply.Had we used an on-line agent such as Purple Bricks we would have saved a very substantial amount of charges running into £000’s whilst receiving very arguably a far better serviceTake my advice, don't even consider using this company.

Grantham Branch Service was great

Grantham Branch - Solid 4 starsHead Office - 2 StarsI'm disappointed to be leaving a 3 star review and not higher.When I had the valuation done on my house the valuer arrived on time, well prepared and very honest about the price, prospects of sale in a difficult market and I was filled with confidence. Despite being one of the more expensive options I looked at I decided that Newton Fallowell felt like the right partner to sell my property. They provided a third party photographer who took amazing photos and they produced a great video tour of the property, getting it listed very quickly with a high quality advert. Absolute 5 star to this point.My property sold within 24 hours, above the asking price which was great. I then received a call from Newton Fallowell head office I believe whom recommended me a solicitor to use that they frequently deal with, JS Law. I found a cheaper option than these and was encouraged that by using their partner they would be able to liaise with the solicitors to keep the sale moving at a fast pace so I agreed. This was an enormous mistake as quite frankly i've never received worse service than I have from JSLaw, and despite telling me that they would proactively chase solicitors, Newton Fallowell absolutely did not do this despite me telling them numerous times that I was having issues with their recommended solicitor. However, whenever I asked them to get an update or to chase my solicitor they did so straight away.The only other negative thing to say, is that I have asked for a copy of the nicely printed marketing brochure for my house, to keep for posterity and what I was sent was a basic printed, folded in half and stapled together proof of it from the branch. I phoned up the head office and reiterated what I was looking for to be told that they hadn't printed them as my property sold before they had done so, therefore wouldn't be able to send me this. I think this is a little ridiculous given that i'm paying 3.5k and did the viewings myself (by my choice). On this point I feel like i'm not getting something that i'm paying good money for, and I just wanted 1 or 2 nicely printed copies, as they showed me in the sales pitch.Those 2 negatives aside, the service was great and the team in the Grantham branch helped me print and send the docs back to my solicitors and even went to my property when the alarm was going off (thanks Cal) in order to fix it, which was really helpful as I live in London.In summary, I don't regret using Newton Fallowell and I would use them again but I will never trust another recommendation from estate agents regarding conveyencors.

Very unprofessional and poor

Very unprofessional and poor. Never deal with this estate agent again. I had travelled all the way from birmingham to see a property in birstall leicester. The lady when booked mentioned yes its booked an you will be first one viewing this property. When i arrived nobody was present. I had rang the office to be told this property was sold. Even though i had rang two days before to book viewing. Really bad. The personnel on the phone did not even know what property we were speaking about even though it was showing on right move. Just really bad. I would advise anyone going to view a property from this estate to not to bother or i would be even concerning selling my property with you guys. Awful

Unprofessional

Arranged to view a propoerty in Leicester yesteday, travelling all the way from Luton, Befordshire, finding that the oweners had gone on holiday. When calling the Oadby office, we got a flipant response; " that is unfortunate", something that anyone have an argument over after a hour & a half road travel. But requested the agent who arranged the viewing to call back as soon as she came off another call. We are still waiting for an apology today.

Very bad experience with Lincoln branch

I had the worst possible experience with this agency until now (Lincoln branch). They’re absolutely not interested in to contact with potential tenant and super unprofessional with everything what possible. My short story: I applied for one property in first half of August. Got a link to referencing process with company called Let Alliance. They were checking everything for quite long and I contacted with them that everything is fine. When my referencing process has been finished (after 9 days) I got an email with insurance offer for possible property. Just in case next day I contacted Newton Fallowell about this process and ask that everything is fine and what is further steps. Ms Anita told me to wait for contact. I waited next 7 days and contacted once again. And guess what happened. They told me that landlord already accepted someone for this property, because I didn’t complete process and they didn’t get report from Let Alliance. So I contacted Let Alliance why they didn’t send this report. They confirmed that it has been sent out week earlier. After several phone calls and - finally - visit in branch, they apologised that missed our report. So even when they noticed about it, still lied by phone that they will check what happened and contact me. Of course they didn’t. You can forget about contact from this agency. Looks like that employees are not interested to care about customers. I experienced only lies and unprofessional behaviour here. Whole process was extremely painful, stressful and they waisted over 2 weeks of my time. But I gave another one chance when I found next property which could suits my needs. I made a phone call and they promised me to send a link for virtual tour. Like you probably already suppose - it never happened... I recommend to avoid this agency (at least Lincoln branch) if possible. Those stress and anger in not worth.

We recently sold our house through Newton Fallowell's Stamford branch. Overall we had a very positive experience, they were good at keeping in touch and getting feedback on viewings. Nikki did a fantastic job chasing the process to keep it moving as we were on a tight deadline, she was also very patient with us! I would recommend them and use them again.
