Absolutely awful estate agents - please avoid at all costs. I rented with the Lincoln branch and have never had such a poor experience in all my time. They were condescending, rude and just damn right deceitful. I was complimented on uplifting the property standard and then when I moved out to move into somewhere bigger, they refused to give me my deposit over a light bulb that was out, removing the stick on tiles I had put on - despite telling me it had to go back to the original condition etc. I had to fight through the deposit scheme and the staff and manager I spoke to were so incredibly rude to me at the time. I have never been made to feel so awful. I had my reservations when moving into the property as their communication was poor and I should have re-evaluated what I was doing then. Fortunately I am qualified in housing and know my rights but they still made my life very difficult.
Booked a valuation, took time off work, no one came. I sent a message and they called me, apologised and booked me another appointment. Guess what? No one came.2 misses appointments so I dont think I will be selling with them.
I rented a flat from this company for 17 years, never missed a payment, I had to move out because of landlords change in circumstances, so I left September last year, now I have been asking for my bond money back, they keep finding excuses, I have tried to reach out to them, I don’t recommend this company for renting, I am very disappointed
We had our home up for sale for over 16 weeks with what I can only describe as a total waste of time estate agent. They have no idea of customer needs they think they can sit on their arses waiting for an enquiry. It is 16 weeks wasted with wasters and to top it all we have not even been contacted about leaving their services and just removed from right move.What an absolutely poor company
I didn’t even want to give them 1 star but had to choose something, these estate agents love lying and you get a different story each person you speak to. Since giving them notice back in December they have decided since then to leave their sign on the drive. I have been calling them multiple times to collect and they have even lied about this! They cannot seem to organise themselves! Customer service is awful.
LOUGHBOROUGH I rented a property from newton fellowell in kegworth. I moved out on the 6th of December 2022 its now the 15th feb 2023 and still have not recieved any part of my deposit back. No explanation from the agency. I have contacted them numerous times to which they keep making excuses. It is coming up to three months now. The property was let out pretty much straight after we left (within a week). When we gave our notice of a month we were CONSTANTLY bombarded to allow viewings, I understand this is in the contract which was fine, however my mother was in hospital at the time and I had a dog at home which is a nervous dog. This was never taken into consideration either. Plus many repairs reported through the time of living at the address and these were never addressed. I've heard the new tenant is having exactly the same problems regarding repairs. If they are receiving money or agreeing a let they are brilliant, however not so much on carrying out maintenance or returning deposits
Only interested when they are taking your money, even then Sara, in particular was rude and incompetent. Didn’t do the job they were being paid for managing the tenants, consistently needed reminding to do inspections. Tenant's damaged our home but we were left out of pocket by hundreds of £’s as Newton Fallowell didn’t pursue them. Could never recommend this Melton Mowbray firm again, they don’t answer emails or return phone calls BEWARE cowboys who don’t care!
