Item reviewed- Nordic Track R 35 recumbent bike. When I purchased the bike the lowest gear or setting ( the easiest setting ) was way too difficult for warming up and cruising. I had a Nordic Track repairman come out and adjust the setting. There was nothing he could do. He said to keeping working out on it and it will get easier at the lowest level. It never did. A year later it is still very difficult at the lowest level. I paid for a repairman to check it out. He ordered a new part and it actually made it more difficult. I am now looking for a new machine. I would not recommend this machine. I have since tried 4 other brands of recumbent bikes and all of them had easier resistance than my r35 at the lowest setting. I tried Matrix- Schwinn - Elite- Precor. My wife will not get on the bike because it is too difficult to pedal. We play tennis 4 times a week, run, walk our dog and do Yoga and have a personal trainer, so it is not like we are couch potatoes.
I was looking for a treadmill that supported the iFit training videos and this device does not disappoint. The assembly process was straightforward and the construction is very sturdy. The controls are not the most intuitive but it only took me one session to figure it out. I’m just a beginner but this treadmill allows me to progress easily. Very happy with my purchase.
I spend €2900 on a “premium commercial grade” treadmill(model was 2950). What a joke, 10 months in the deck cracked, it was covered under warrenty, took about 6 weeks to repair in the middle of key training for an Ironman 70.3, not good enough… then 6 months later and a puff of smoke it stopped completely… new motor and control card…. Another 6 weeks wait. Then about 18 months on the cute buttons on the side of the display for preset speeds started going nuts.., speed jumping to max speed…after another month waiting for a response the thankfully informed me they mo longer had spares and they would do a return. The worst pice of equipment I ever had. Note with Nordic track- they will not cover warranty if it’s not stored in your house… a high standard shed will not count! They look for video evidence of its location during warranty discussions… really trying to evade covering their poor equipment under warranty….dont understand how they get such a high review rating online!
Where to start. Paid $3000+ for a treadmill that lasted 2 years. (not even used often lol) Then reached out to customer service to find out they can't replace the part and will replace it with the current model (because we had the extended warranty)....great!! 5 months later (after hounding them daily) just received it today!!!! Had to pay for "white glove service" which I shouldn't of had to pay for because if your piece of xxxxx didn't work why should I have to pay $300+ to have a new one delivered. They also told us that when they delivered the new treadmill that the "broken"one would be picked up. Well guess what that was also a lie. The "white glove" delivery wouldn't even bring the treadmill to where we wanted it and just dropped it off and wouldn't bring back the broken one. When we called Norditrak to tell them, the "new" person on our case said that he's sorry that we were told that but they can't pick up the broken one. Don't waist your money. The product as well as the customer service is a JOKE!!
Company has absolutely no problem taking money off you. But as soon as something doesn’t go wrong then the ability to respond and resolve quickly is beyond them. Still waiting for a seat replacement for my brand new SS21i two months in. Absolutely shocking customer service which is never mentioned in the online reviews by independent’ reviewers.Update - Got email saying that my seat ‘may be on the next shipment’ 😳. Asked for escalation and then got offered a replacement bike but I would have to install myself even though I paid for (faulty) installation in the first instance. Complained and got offered installation. Bike turned up with couriers - no installation. Was reassured by the couriers that it could be booked in again by Nordic - max couple of days. Here I am 10 days later with no working bike…. Though whether it’s Nordic or the couriers (Panther) who are fault this time who knows..
Couldn't use my bike due to multiple health reasons, one of which was a broken ankle, but now I am fully recovered and my bike won't even turn on. I probably got 5 uses out of it, and now had to pay more just to get help to service it. DON'T BUY. Not a reliable machine. It will break without any wear and tear. I haven't even moved it.
