Booking ref 8653895 Cockroach and mouse infested house

I wish I could give them zero. I paid £1600 for a week at a house in Campsegret near Bergerac just over a week ago. Everything was falling apart and it hadn’t been looked after for years. Tree root causing subsidence pushing up tiles in the lounge leaving them cracked and broken - a real hazard. House was infested with mice and cockroaches - which I only realised towards the end of the stay after they made an appearance. Pool patio dirty- umbrella's broken, dirty stained pool chairs. Stained bed linen. Towards the end of my stay I awoke to find cockroaches on my bed and live mice in the bin eating food from the bin and living in nooks and crannies in the house. In the last few days found one dead mouse and one live mouse in the pool. The list goes on and on. Sent picture and video evidence to Novasol and they won’t refund a penny. I’ve been with them every year for 5 years. Appalling treatment of a loyal customer. I emailed them while on holiday but they say I didn’t give them an opportunity to rectify things. I can only tell them about these things as they happen. We were out a lot sightseeing during the first half of the week so I only spotted these things midway through the holiday. I only spotted the mice and the cockroaches during our last few days. Does that negate the appalling experience I had? I came home covered in cockroach bites and my children had red blotches on them I suspect from the pool. Steer clear. They’re clearly not checking these houses out and if things go wrong they don’t take responsibility. I complained to the owners representative about the floor in the lounge and the poor security of the lounge door upon our arrival on day one and to Novasol midway through the week but it seems that doesn’t count and they won’t refund a penny!

Bad cleaning and bad service for house owners in Gilleleje region

We use Novasol as agency to rent out our summerhouse in Kulhuse Jægerspris (DK). Recently the cleaning in between bookings has been very bad. The local agency office (Gilleleje office) does not respond to our complains. Novasol 'Gilleleje office' does not provide the service they are claiming. We will definitely resign the agency agreement asap!

Bad house, bad support!

We booked this house for 3 reasons: Spa, kid-friendly yard, and beach nearby. All of those 3 things were a major disappointment to put it mildly!First off, the spa was so old and worn out, it broke on the first day (a button fell off!) and they had to send someone to repair it the next day.The swings in the yard were completely rotten, falling apart and outright dangerous to use! This was not fixable during our stay. The beach was 90% rocks and metal ramps for boats, not at all enjoyable for our kids, so we had to drive to a different beach. The other 10% was seaweed.On top of all that, the beds were horrendous to sleep in, we could feel every spring in the mattresses!We submitted a complaint to Novasol and they only refunded 323DKK for this sad excuse of a holiday house, which is not good enough!

Not Fit for Habitation

My wife and I along with our daughter and her partner hired out N-5560 which is a hytte near Nedstrand in Norway. The location, near the fjord was pleasant but we did worry when, upon arrival, we saw four fly killer strips hanging near the kitchen sink.Our fears were justified when we opened the back door and hundreds of flies swarmed in. We then closed the doors and windows and set to work with fly spray and fly swatters. We should have abandoned the hytte there and then but there was no alternative available in the vicinity.The flies were everywhere. They came from outside, from the ceilings and everywhere. Cooking was almost impossible and trying to get sleep was a nightmare. After a few days of this hell we phoned Novasol to complain and eventually abandoned the hytte and booked into hotels.This property had a serious fly infestation problem and should never have been offered out for rental.On our return home we lodged a complaint both with the owner and with Novasol.The owner referred us to Novasol. Novasol said that they could not be held responsible for insects outside the property (even though the property was infested) and the owner has not offered any compensation.We feel that Novasol should have contacted the owner and sought compensation on our behalf and told them that they would not re-list the property until the fly infestation problem was solved.If we do not get compensation for a ruined holiday, due to a problem that the owners must have been aware of, we will consider taking legal action.WE have previously rented many holiday homes through Novasol and not had any problems. With this experience, unless we are compensated, we are unlikely to use them again.To add to the problems with this hytte the decking was dirty and the bar b que had not been cleaned.We would urge Novasol to get its act together and secure compensation for us and de-list this property until the fly infestation problem is solved.

So we rented a house in Spain. Found out the hard way A/C isnt included in a major villa : Response from Novasol - You should have checked the checkboxes. Bad luck chuck. Use the fans! They are broken? My Girlfriend slept in the laundry basement. The "contact" just pulled his shoulder. PLEASE SHOW ME WHERE😊Text from the House : "Ultramodern holiday home with large windows that reveal a fantastic landscape. The fully equipped kitchen has enough space for you to cook there. All the bedrooms on the first floor are furnished with exquisite taste, and the master bedroom has a privileged view of the private pool and the Mediterranean Sea. The lovely terrace with sunshades and luxury garden furniture, right in front of the pool area, invites you to cozy gatherings and romantic meals with a fantastic view of the nearby mountains and the typical white houses in the villages and along the coast. Taste the typical rural cuisine in Cómpeta, and try, for example, 'migas,' or simply enjoy some delicious tapas for a light snack. Enjoy a promising vacation at the highest level with a guarantee that you'll feel comfortable! The house is located on a slope and can only be accessed via several stairs (56 steps). The last part up to the house is on a steep road, which is only partially paved."

Garden not like on pictures

For a house on the danish shore we rented this summer, a huge lawn was shown in the pictures, but in reality most of the depicted area was covered with high grass, so the kids could not play there at all. After asking for the grass to be cut, there was a "protected area" blah blah blah answer. No refund was given even though this clearly was not fitting the pictures used for advertisement.

We had quite an unfortunate experience…

We had quite an unfortunate experience with Novasol Denmark. We rented a summerhouse in Marielyst to celebrate my 50 yr birthday.- The house was not the same house as advertised as we rented the house. Planning and location was correct but the inside of the house was different than the pictures. Novasol uploaded the correct picture on our check in date. I got screen shots with house number, before they updated the website.- We rented the house due to outside jacuzzi and sauna. We checked in friday and realized that the jacuzzi did not function. We called the service number and someone responsible arrived saturday morning. Apperantly, this person had no technical skills and could not figure out the problem. A technical person arrived monday. The problem was that water tap to jacuzzi was not turned on! We could not use the jacuzzi for 2 days/3nights of rental.Finally, we contacted the Novasol customer service and sent a written message.We have not received any response, other than standard emails.So dissapointing breaching trust and not taking care of their customers.

Mariager Denmark. We rented a lovely thatched house in…

We rented a lovely thatched house in Mariager Denmark. We were looking forward to a week next to Denmark’s most beautiful fjord. We arrived to a property dirty, unhygienic smelly and with a non working washing machine.We tried to contact Novasol by phone, internet and TP. Impossible to make contact. We spend several hours cleaning, having bought cleaning material to reach our standard of cleanliness. We left the property a day sooner than booked but did enjoy our time at the cleaned property.Novasol is good at sending info re requirements and entry to property as well as advising them when we have left. We had no way of communicating two way with them
