AfterSubject: Horrendous Experience at Office Depot - A Cautionary Tale ordering a chair online and…

After ordering a chair online and driving to the store to pick it up, I was informed that the chair was not available because it had sold out at that location. Even the floor model was gone, despite being instructed to pick it up per the website. I was told it would be delivered between 6-7 pm on the 29th as it was at the warehouse. So, I drove back home to Vancouver, Washington.Almost home, I received an email stating that the chair was no longer available at Office Depot. This meant turning around and going back to the store for a refund. Upon arrival, I was then told it was not eligible for a refund, only store credit. I demanded a refund, and the clerk processed it. When I asked for proof of the refund, she said she didn't know how. Another employee finally printed a screenshot of the refund and said that the $216 would go back onto my card in 24-48 hours. Well, it's July 3rd, and no refund has been issued.I have now filed with the BBB and also filed a complaint with the Oregon State Attorney General's office for consumer protection.I have shopped at Office Depot before, but this will be the last time. From now on, I will go to other large box stores for my office supplies. My trust in this company no longer exists. How can you sell something you don’t carry, refuse to give a refund on something you no longer have, and then have the audacity to offer "Store Credit"? DO NOT SHOP AT OFFICE DEPOT!

Probably the worst company I have had…

Probably the worst company I have had to deal with. I purchased a trial $49 Business Select account. I called to cancel and was told I would get my refund in short time. I waited a month and called a second time and this time was given a cancellation number and was told I would be receiving my refund shortly. Now after five weeks I just now called and was told my account was in fact cancelled but my refund was not sent. They issued me yet another cancellation number and I was told another person will be calling me within 24-48 hours to give me some type of details regarding my $49. I was also told to hold on the line to give feedback regarding the customer service I just received. Guess what? After I waited a minute it hung up. Big surprise! What a ridiculous excuse for a company. They are off my list.

I used an e-gift card to purchase a printer, it was sent to another state through no fault of my own. They refunded the order but are mailing me a gift card. Now I can either re-order with a credit card and get stuck with a gift card to this crap place or wait 3-4 WEEKS for my card to show up in the mail and reorder. Order elsewhere.

So disappointed in the Duluth MN Office Depot. I was in their store Friday waiting for help when the girl working there pretended not to see me and continued watching a show on her phone with a coworker. After about 5 minutes of being ignored she finally acknowledged me but said she wouldn't be able to do the print job until Monday. Her name tag said Laura and maybe she didn't know how to do the photo copying or she's just incompetent. I felt disrespected for being ignored and for being sent away. I ended up going to Walgreens and was able to get my stuff photocopied. They also gave me a coupon which was a nice unexpected surprise after coming from a store that I will never shop at again.

Stay away from Office Depot

I bought a cart, and the paint was completely cracked and chipping, even peeling in some areas. Underneath the paint, I found rust! When I contacted customer service, they refused to help. I didn't notice the paint was chipping until I had assembled the entire cart and flipped it over to attach the wheels, revealing missing pieces of paint from the bottom. Customer service showed no concern and did nothing to assist me. This company’s lack of quality control and customer support is appalling.

I went to Office Depot to replace the spiral binding on a workbook. I was told they were too busy to help me. I would have to leave my syllabus and pick it up the. next day. As a teacher, I needed it for teaching the next day. They essentially refused me service and were not apologetic. A wasted trip to town.

Office Depot is Running A Massive Scam

I ordered a new printer and ink cartridges from Office Depot website. The printer was delivered in two days, the ink the very next day so that was a win right? Once I unblxed the printer and tried hooking it up it would not find my network, this went on for over an hour. I took it to my office and the the same problem would not recognize that network. So clearly the printer is defective and it with the ink which was no longer needed for back up supplies I started the return process. That's where the nightmare begins. First off I was able to start the return for the ink with no issues. They said it would be picked up on May 16, 2024. It was picked up on 05/17 n big deal. Also a week later no refund. The printer return on the other hand could not be started online, they make it as painful as possible to return it.. After 4 hours on the phone with their customer service finally, a return was started with a pick up date of 05/17 which came and left no pickup. I called on the 18th and they said they "attempted to pick it up but the business was closed" which is total BS because it's my home, not a business that was outright BS. So it was to be rescheduled for the same day, the 18th. Again no pick up. Called again they said tomorrow the 19th for pick up and again no pick up. Called again pick on the 20th and still no pick up. Or refund. I did a deep dive and it appears they are fully engaged in a racketeering scam where they continue lying about a pick up date until the clock runs out for returns. At this point no refund, for the picked up ink cartridges, no refund for the defective printer and the printer is still here. So it time to file litigation and hold these POS accountable while submitting the massive amount of fraud they are committing against consumers to my local DA office.

I won't even give them 1 star but thats the lowest in the options chart. I put in a print job this morning around 8am. It says to check in after 20 minutes and it should be done. Its a very light job containing my tax return, resumes, and cover letter. Not even 30 pages and paid more than $20 plus tax. I called them after 45 minutes and it was'nt even done. The lady says sometimes 7pm before the store close. The reason why I went there and choose them to do my print job because of the online ad promising consumers that the job will get done in that time frame. I emailed them again t check for status but no response. So I went ahead and text them and I told them I'll be at the curbside to pickup around 1pm. Give them discription on my car and even told them to text me back if there's any problem which they've created one already. If I only knew that, I wont pay that much for a print job. It would be my 1st & last time going there.

Fewer services

Small potatoes compared to some of you, but I am incensed that they will no longer print greeting cards! What is an office services company for if not to offer services you might not do at home? 8.5 x 11 is their sole option. Really? Seems to me we are moving backward in this world rather then forward. Instead of finding new ways to accomplish things lets just do less?
