DON’T USE - skipped court mandated mediation

UPDATE - They skipped the court-mandated mediation session, which they requested as part of my court action. The mediator called me to advise that Online Opticians did not attend and that their failure to attend will be noted at court. Funny enough, they failed to answer multiple phone calls, voice messages, and emails from the mediator attempting to start the mediation… sound familiar 💁‍♂️I will post an update once the court hearing has been scheduled. I don’t tend to post reviews of business unless the experience has been very poor, as a way to inform others of my experiences. Check their well overdue financial statements under Thomas Eyewear Limited on Companies House as this is the company they trade under. _________I sent my glasses for reglazing. The company agreed to fix an error with the lenses and agreed in writing to correct it. I returned my frames as instructed. I was pleased with their quick agreement to rectify the issue and posted a positive review on 4 Oct as they had agreed to sort it. They later stated the glasses had been dispatched by Royal Mail 24-hour tracked delivery and should have arrived on 15 October, but I did not receive them and no tracking details were provided, despite repeated requests. It is now over four months since they said they were sent. Royal Mail advised that the company reused the same shipping label twice so the package is either lost or has been sent back to the shipper, advising that the shipper messed up. The company promised a refund in writing, but this was never received. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly—including calls, emails, and a formal pre-action court letter—communication ceased. As the matter could not be resolved, I was required to initiate court action, which is ongoing.My property was not returned, a promised refund was not provided, and my efforts to resolve the issue were unsuccessful. I recommend caution and suggest keeping clear records of all communications and transactions.

Game changing eye protection!

My usual eye pro? Generic clear lenses I’d tape over my Rx glasses. Terrible. Switched to Bollé Baxter prescription and it’s like upgrading from iron sights to a red dot. The wrap frame and strap lock in place under recoil, Phantom lenses adapt to indoor/outdoor bays, and the foam seal blocks blowback. Delivered fast with my exact PD. Buyer beware, takes an age and they do not communicate.

Buyer beware, purchased two weeks ago, website said 3-5 days, they eventually replied and said that it takes up to two weeks (small print I guess), I was told they would be sent out either last Friday or yesterday and that there would be an email, they failed to do so. They also have not updated their order which still shows it has not been processed despite them assuring me it has been. The phone number just goes to answer machine which they do not reply to, also they occasionally reply to emails but you have to just keep sending them to get a chance at a reply.If you do not mind waiting weeks to months (see some reviews here) with little to no communication or updates, then this is the place to come.I wouldn’t have minded the speed if there had been updates and I really really do not like to be lied to (promised dispatch by yesterday). Just go elsewhere, even if it costs just a little bit more, you won’t regret it,
