Review Time
While Osborn's Models doesn't always respond, or respond in a timely manner, I have found that they eventually deliver. I had ordered a DMU in January 2021, but it was out of stock. While it took several tries, and Osborns said they attempted to get additional units fitted with DCC sound to meet my requirements, I eventually received a replacement for my order that was acutally slightly better than my initial request. They're not fast all the time (several orders have arrived in just a few days or a week or two) but they have eventually done as requested.
I ordered an item on 1 July expecting delivery within 5 - 7 working days. When this period had passed with no delivery or communication from Osborns, I tried on many occasions to phone to check whether there was a problem with the order - no reply. I emailed twice - again, no reply. Osborns are seemingly regularly in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect to distance contracts. They should not be trading online and potential buyers should be aware.
This model shop doesn't deserve any business i recently went on osbournes model shop to buy some coaches for my n guage railway so i placed the order they took payment then a week went buy no goods received so i emailed them to find out what was going on I've tried ringing them but all you get is the answer machine I've tried several times ringing them eventually i got an email saying they had a hold up with one of the coaches But they advertised them as both for sale on there website.So I've sent them an email to see if they have had any luck in the coach but I've heard nothing why do companies take orders knowing that they can't supply the goods
I ordered from Osborns models money taken straight away. Items where delivered a couple of weeks later. They are not quick to respond to emails but do eventually. On the upside they are food value and one of the best packaged parcels I’ve ever received. Please Osborns models do what you can to make things better
Not a good seller at all there website is not set up for the modern market, there stock always says it is on stock but it is not, soon as i made the order they took the money straight away but failed to notify me that they had none of the track parts in stock and had to be preorded ive only had half of the order a month later from when i ordered back in early april and still waiting for the rest of the order, they do not answer the phone or do they rarely replay to email, i have asked for a update three times now over email but to no response, do not use this model shop you will only feel gilt about being robbed out of your money.
I never like to give negative a negative review, but this shop has earned one.My order was placed on the 30th of March for which they sent me a confirmation email and charged my credit card. When I'd heard nothing after three weeks, I sent another email asking about my order. They sent me a confirmation of receipt ( for the enquiry) but have failed to answer it. A week later and numerous phone calls, all of which reached the answering machine only, I've had enough.Like many that have gone before me, I too have had to resort to using chargeback to recover my cash. AVOID THIS MERCHANT, (THEIR) CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST.
Ordered items shown as in stock.After several weeks of no correspondence asked how order was going. Was told it would be sent in a couple of weeks.After 5 months of no further correspondence or arrival of goods, again asked where order was. Was told should have it by now and they would look into it. Waited over a week or so and still nothing about the order. Tried to recover funds via PayPal but transaction date was just outside their 180 day limit so now trying to recover through Bank/VISA.
I ordered some peco products before Christmas (for a holiday project) which were shown as 'in stock' but jt turns out they weren't. After about 6 or 7 weeks half of the order arrived. Chased up a couple of times (problems with Peco apparently) but more than 4 months after I placed my order, I still hadn't received the remaining items (I sourced them from elsewhere actually) so, having waited long enough, requested an immediate refund which, to be fair, was processed same day. Hence 2 stars rather than 1. I actively go out of my way to support smaller model retailers but experiences like this really don't help.
