WARNING TO BUSINESSES—Your customers will walk if you use this atrocious service.I know this review is akin to shouting into a void, much like hoping to receive a package from them, but I need to vent.Unfortunately they are one of the few companies who are completely blind to what's happening within their own business. Customer service just use the same tracking page you can access yourself online so are entirely useless at assisting. RM accepts any contract they get a whiff of without the faintest clue as to whether they can stick to the terms. Evidence of this lies in the £21m they have just been fined for being unable to 'deliver'.There isn't much to say that hasn't been said a million times... Possibly the worst company in the UK.

Dreadful

We missed delivery. Getting in touch was impossible. On hold for 1 hour, call ended as you closed. 2nd time, on hold for an hour, answered, cut me off. Online redelivery, date requested, did not show on the first reattempt, did not show on second attempt. Both times tracking was not updated and still said being delivered even though eta and whole day had passed. Phone system and online platforms are just awful and do not work as intended. Customer service is truly dreadful.

Pitiful service

Pitiful service. Trying to get hold of a human being now is a nightmare. I paid over £10 for signed for delivery however, even though it has been signed for it’s not to the address it was sent. Trying to get some information on what’s happened. Even automated systems are useless. No matter how many times you say a reference number it recites it back incorrectly and then offer a bad guess. Why isn’t there an option to key it in? I’m embarrassed about the state of our national post service.

Parcel due yesterday

Parcel due yesterday. No email to say why it didn't arrive. Email saying delivery due today followed by another saying no one was home although I was here all day. I'd also given a safe place for them to use. Totally abysmal service full of lies.

Worst delivery service ever

Worst delivery service ever. In a day and age where you are able to track the progress of delivery driver, it's unbelievable that you are unable to know where the driver is. All you recieve is a slip saying " missed you will re-attempt" even though you were at home waiting for your slot! Also the fact they have to personally hand you every insignificant thing is ridiculous. Royal mail absolute waste of time. Frustrating.

Appalling rate of successfully delivering packages

I had 3 parcels due to be delivered from the royal mail today. I work from home so no chance of missing them etc. 1 buzzed my flat I went down and collected the parcel, they took a picture, the tracking updated etc. 2 hours later I received a notification saying the other item had been delivered. The proof of delivery was a picture of a parcel force note saying "item delivered customer refused a photograph to be taken" - either they've given my parcel to some random person or are lying and decided they wanted it. This was a tracked delivery as well so that option's not worth anything. The 3rd was out for delivery all day and then I check the app and it's "held for pickup at carrier location" with an update at 19:54 saying "royal mail couldn't complete your delivery..." So just couldn't be bothered to deliver the pacakage I guess. I cannot believe the royal mail has become so bad so quickly

Poor service

I am writing this review on behalf of my partner Helen. We had a letter delivery one was recorded and required a signature which was never signed for just put straight in our letter box. People pay extra for that service because they know it will be signed for as proof. Royal mail please get your act together some re training for posties is required I think

Awful service

Ordered an item and the seller posted using 48hr tracked service. Absolutely awful service. Tracking said the item was in the west midlands hub and there it stayed for 6 days. I phoned Royal Mail customer service and had to hold for 50 minutes. Eventually someone answered who sounded like I had woken them from a deep sleep. They then just told me what I already knew. Let Amazon or DPD take over the royal mail as it is absolutely useless.

I have to be honest, I had a problem free delivery on time for a book from Ebay. I can also reveal as an ex 1960's Postman, I am horrified by the amount of complaints I am seeing on here. I am also disgusted by the Horizon affair as well. Having Royal in the title, just about sums up the attitude of The King. Not in my name springs to mind. I feel it is too late for" Royal mail" to recover from years of mis management, greed, and failure to deliver a reliable service. Such a shame.
