Complete lack of communication

Purchased a few items of clothing from a company in Austria. Paid extra for shipping etc. After all that the items came up to about £200 with shipping and all that. Waited for weeks, not a single update. Checked the tracking on the Austrian shipping company as there was no progression on the tracking. I had to call them up manage to string together a conversation with someone in English and found out from them that the package had left their jurisdiction and had to be cleared with the UK. I wasnt given any company name. So i started pasting the tracking link into every postal service until i finally found 'Parcelforce'. I then rang up the number and spoke to a lady who told me I had to pay another £30 to release it from customs. I paid it over the phone. They had already sat on the package for a week. In the next few days the package arrived. And a WEEK after, a letter arrived telling me of my parcels whereabouts. So if I hadn't taken the initiative to chase them up. They would have taken Two extra weeks to deliver my package.

Tracked 24h deliveries that never…

Tracked 24h deliveries that never arrives on time, even 10 working days later!!On one more occasion I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered to a 24 working hotel reception. They sent me a note that the address won't take deliveries today! What a load of ... bad lies and laziness! I would always think Royal Mail is the one to trust, even if more expensive. Well, look for other options.

Useless tracking and lues

Tracking stated parcel would be delivered on the evening of 28.11.25. One hour later tracking claimed "your address was inaccessible". This was a blatant lie. 29.11 - I visited the sorting office. Parcel not available. Tracking not updated since 28.11. Parcel eventually delivered at midday on 29.11. Mistake is blamed on Christmas temps - every year the same old excuse and lies. This is not good enough. Please train Christmas temps properly and deal with them when they lie.

Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with Royal Mail customer service. The guy was rude, completely unhelpful & made absolutely no effort to help me. I recently sent an expensive item internationally & it was stuck in Germany for 5 weeks. The tracking then changed that it was leaving the UK! Then today it changed again that the receiver refused the item! All very confusing. I phoned customer service & waited on hold for over 30 minutes & the guy asked for the tracking number, which I gave him. He then asked for the address I sent it to. I told him. He said it was wrong. I explained I had the online receipt I bought the postage from & it was correct. He said it was wrong. I also had the receipt from the Post Office I sent it from with the address on & he said it was wrong. I gave him my name & address & the reference number. He said that he couldn’t help me due to GDPR rules! I inputted the correct address on the Royal Mail website when I bought the postage & I posted the label they sent me! I asked to speak to his supervisor & he hung up on me. Totally unprofessional & unhelpful. Never again. No wonder Royal Mail is on its knees.

tracking app says 48hr postal parcel received at local sorting office on the 24th November and out for delivery 5 days later still saying exactly the same thing and the AI seems to be an excuse for no answers or responsibility to the sender or receiver

Absolutely the worst service ever

Absolutely the worst service ever. I was in the house all day they said they attempted delivery. I have doorbell I have a dog who barks when at door. There was no attempt to deliver. No card left. Eventually had to phone 45 mins on hold for no help. Total shambles.

What happened to Royal Mail?!? AWFUL

What happened to Royal Mail?!?! Who is running this mess?! Item sent ‘tracked 48’ on the 22nd !!! - showing as in transit since the 22nd, no other tracking, automated ‘chat’ doesn’t work.

2 lost parcels in a week!

Last week, I routed a parcel to a parcel point for me collect as I wouldn't be in. Despite several emails telling me to collect it, there was no sign of it either at the collection point or sorting office. Turned up eventually 2 days later but problem was that a ROYAL MAIL EMPLOYEE covered the barcode for the tracking with a sticker. This week, a parcel coming from the next county and sent as 48 hour tracked 5 days ago still hasn't been delivered. According to the tracking, it has been accidentally sent to the wrong place. Oh and they have smashed a parcel with makeup in. They are an absolute shower. I avoid where I can.

Absolutely shambolic service – Royal Mail/Parcelforce

If I could give 0 stars, I would.I booked two separate collections and on both occasions the driver simply did not show up. No knock on the door, no attempt to contact me – nothing. Instead, they lazily updated the tracking to say “the package was too heavy”.This is completely unacceptable for several reasons: • I input the correct weight when booking. • I paid in full based on that weight. • If there was any genuine issue, they could have called, knocked, or at least tried to collect.Instead, they just slapped on a false excuse and left me with wasted time, missed deadlines, and no parcel collected. I planned my day around these collections, only to be let down twice with the same copy-paste lie.If Royal Mail/Parcelforce can’t be bothered to turn up, they shouldn’t offer a collection service. The lack of honesty, accountability and basic customer care is astonishing. I’ll be seriously reconsidering ever using them again and will be warning friends and family to do the same.
