Failed to show and lied about it!

Up until yesterday, I always rated Royal Mail services in my area highly — they had never let me down. I purchased an online parcel service for £10.05, but they simply never turned up. I was home all day, even received deliveries from Evri, and had three separate repairs carried out in my home. These weren’t noisy repairs, so there’s no excuse to claim I didn’t hear them.Royal Mail emailed claiming they attempted collection at 10:27am, which was false — both my sister and I were in. Later, they claimed another attempt at 12:01pm. Another lie. Not only was I home, but a repairman was also present. The intercom before my door was never pressed, nor was the doorbell rung or the letterbox knocked.Despite this, they refuse to issue a refund, insisting they came when they clearly did not. This parcel is a birthday present that needs to arrive by a specific date, and their dishonesty has left me angry. I am not happy with the service and will not trust Royal Mail again. Who even owns them now?

A week to deliver 24hr parcels

After several deliveries/experience across many months with Royal Mail Parcel Force, I can confirm that their 24hr service consistently delivers a week late. I have no idea why companies still use Parcel Force, because end users get frustrated and there are reliable cheaper alternatives. Royal Mail Parcel Force are not fit for purpose.

They have had a parcel at the national hub for 15 days and I can't get a refund until the tracking says its lost. Also everytime lately I order a parcel collection from home it takes them at least two days to do it.I am so fed up

Useless company.....

For the second time in a month I have tried to use Royal Mail to send a large parcel and on both occasions I have had an issue and my parcel could not be sent.Today, I paid for my postage online and requested to print the label in store as I do not have a printer. I paid >£15 for 48 hour express. When my email arrived it did not contain a QR code and said QR code unavailable.I went to my local post office only to be told that they cannot help me without a QR code. I was then told to go the Library and use their printer. Do you think I have nothing better to do than to run around trying to print your label for you?I have cancelled my order and requested a refund.I have gone to Evri and they are sending my item 24 hours and for half the price. So I am getting my parcel there in half the time for half the money by using your competitor.I will never, as a matter of principle, use Royal Mail again and I wanted to take the time to write this as if you are not told then you will never know.I know I am only one customer and you probably do not care about my £15, but if another 1000, 10000, 100000 customers like me choose to move away then hopefully you will take notice and improve your service.I tried to call your help center to help with the issue, only to be told that I have to wait over 30 minutes for someone to help me.Goodbye Royal Mail, it's been nice knowing you.

God awful. Do better.

Pointless writing this as nobody will actually help. I've been waiting for important medication for 2 days now with the tracking saying its out for delivery since yesterday when it clearly isn't. Nothing through the door to say my delivery was missed. Zero customer service and no accountability. Sooner this organisation is sold for spare parts or renationalised the better. Shame on you.

Utter Gobsh*tes

Absolute bag of sh*te service. Parcel due to be delivered two days ago at (according to them) 11:00-13:30. Email received saying someone called at 17:57 to try to deliver...utter cr*p! They absolutely did not try to deliver & no card left. I reschedule for the next day. Get another email stating delivery between 13:30-19:30). Nothing still at 20:00. Check phone, find email saying tried to deliver at 19:37! I was 10ft away from the door all evening!!! Again no card left so absolute horse s**t. No wonder Royal Mail are in serious decline. If I could a minus star I would.Tracking number: OL418093176GB for what it's worth. Thanks for nothing Royal Mail...

Well I am not surprised the Royal Mail…

Well I am not surprised the Royal Mail has a one star rating. Received a small package 6 weeks after it was sent, 48 hours tracked takes up to a week and 24 hours tracked takes at least 4 days. But on the only plus side next day guaranteed before 1pm actually works 95% of the time. So for that reason I give them two stars not one. Oh and don't even ask about ordinary 1st or 2nd class as rarely on time.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. Parcel intended for my son's birthday next day delivery has ended up somewhere in tyneside. Supposed to be delivered to huddersfield area. No update on tracking. Parcel is now 3 days late and no sign of when it is going to be delivered. So frustrating and a massive headache

Why oh why does Royal Mail have parcels…

Why oh why does Royal Mail allow parcels intended for other countries languish in regional sorting offices? This is the second time I have had a large parcel collected by Royal Mail for delivery to Japan. First time they provided the label, which the postie stuck to the parcel on collection. The parcel then spent a few days in my local sorting office before being transported to Heathrow. Once there it was put back on transport back to my local sorting office! The reason(s) : No. 1: "It had been sent to the wrong airport" No 2: 'it did not have a correct address label'!!! When it finally arrived at my local sorting office, after visiting a few more on its way home, I had to collect it from there and pay nearly £3 for the pleasure! By the way, label was attached and correct, but someone had stuck another label on top. That parcel spent more time being shifted from one sorting office to another and traversing the M1/M40 motorways than it did in the air to Japan. This time, although I wanted Parcel Force to collect my parcel, Royal Mail collected it. Our postie, a lovely lady whom we respect greatly, came to our door to collect the parcel, I should say that this is a large parcel weighing 16kg, on Wednesday 26th November before lunch. It then spent the rest of that day, over night and most of the next day lounging in my local sorting office before making its way to another midlands sorting office, where it appears to have been received twice, Thursday 27th & Friday 28th November. Considering I purchased 'global priority service' and the website states "4 business days to the rest of the world", they are cutting it a bit fine if they intend to honour that commitment. They have used up 2 days ferrying it around the sights of the West Midlands, that gives them 2 days (not counting weekends) to get it to Japan. To top it off, I get an email from Royal Mail concerning a complaint that I had not raised. Made me look at the tracking on my parcel which led to an email to the company, a response back saying it would take 7 or more days for me to get an answer, a telephone call to Royal Mail, 30+ minute waiting to be connected to a customer advisor and a conversation about the above. Get it right Royal Mail and let Parcel Force deal with parcels destined for other countries. P.S. Heads up Royal Mail. If my parcel has not reached its destination address by Friday 5th December you can expect another call from me!!! If I was leaving a review on my post (parcels from UK addresses and letters) being delivered by our postie it would have been 5/5. But not so for your overseas deliveries. Update on parcel 3rd December. Parcel not only still in UK, it is still in the midlands. I have phoned 3 times regarding the fact that the parcel has been on Northampton since 27th November, the latest being this morning. Have checked again tonight and it is now in the Midlands Super Hub, wherever that is. Was informed this morning that it is scheduled to get to its destination by 5th December. I won't hold my breath. I have requested the parcel is returned to me so that I may get Parcel Force to deal with it. Should be able to get it to Japan before Royal Mail is able to manage it. Very poor service and I will not be risking using them again. Next parcel I will take to Parcel Force depot myself.
