Review Time
I ordered my spa in March 2021 and received notice the spa would ship in 18-20 weeks, putting delivery in the July or August timeframe. Just when I was thinking I should reach out to confirm that time frame was good, I received an email the spa shipped from the manufacturer. A link was sent allowing me to pick my delivery date and the spa arrived within the first hour of the delivery window. The delivery crew was courteous and delivered my spa undamaged to my back gate. They wouldn’t help me move it the 20 to my patio but thankfully, with their advice of rolling it on pipes, I was able to get the spa where I needed it, unwrapped and down on the patio myself without much difficulty. Filled her up, added the initial shot of bromine and waited 24 hours for it to heat up.The whole family has been using the spa daily for the past 3 weeks. Everyone loves it! The jets aren’t super powerful but adequate. I bought the starter chemicals, the steps and spa cover remover as well, all of which work great. No complaints from me. For a less than $3,000 spa, I am very satisfied with the quality, service and communication. I just ordered so additional chemicals as well as the prices are competitive.
Placed an order 12/6/2020 was given an expected delivery date of 20 weeks 4/19/2021. I went to their website and had a chat session with customer service and was told it was due to COVID delays but would ship 5/19/21, nope. Another chat session and I’m now told 6/7/21 , this is starting to feel like a legal scam in the fact they say oh sorry we will give you a refund but have to hold 3% for processing fees. What processing , no hot tub, no order updates, no communication on delays and no refund on all the time and money I’ve spent setting up for a hot tub I’ll never receive.
So this year it seems like this company is a bit better being on the ball with things. I tried to order a hot tub cover last year and it was such a hassle due to multiple factors between the company and the manufacturer. Fast forward to this year and its like the company got 1 year wiser and back to making people happy! I got my Hot tub cover initially, in the promised window BUT had a bit of a snafu and got the wrong size and color. I was able to get in contact with Clearwater and they had to get in touch with the dreaded manufacturer. I did have to contact them twice but after the 2nd time i got a call from not only CW but a call from delivery people. We were able to get it straightened out and they got me the proper hot tub cover. I still think the staff maybe a bit overworked but they made effort to get in touch with me this time which is a complete 180 from last year. I think the overall process flow for these orders needs some work and tweaking but this time around, i am happy. Kudos to Amy H for being a boss and crushing my issues and objectionables! People like Clearwater is on the road to recovery!
We ordered our AquaRest Premium 600 6 person hot tub, which we upgraded to the 240 volt, on May 26th. When we placed the order, the website said that due to COVID-19 it could take 10-12 for delivery. Within a week of placing the order, the website showed a jump to 16-18 week delivery time on new orders. At the 10 week mark, I sent an email inquiring as to the possible ship date on the spa and my e-mail was promptly answered. I was told once they had a ship date from the factory, they would let us know. I inquired again at the 14 week and I received a shipping date of September 18. A couple of weeks later, I checked again on ship date and was told they had no indication that the hot tub wouldn’t ship on time. On Tuesday September 21, we received the e-mail that it had shipped and was actually projected to deliver that coming Friday. Due to being out of the shipping company’s deliver area, it was transferred to another delivery company and our spa was delivered Monday September 28. It is up and running and it is beautiful! It’s a well made spa and it was worth the wait! When I originally chose this hot tub, I based my choice on the pre-COVID rating the hot tubs and the company ClearWater received. I also based it on the standard that the company believes that lasting connections with their customers is at the heart of what makes their business successful. But the thing that impressed me most was that Jesus Christ is the foundation on which their success is built and they measure themselves by Philippians 2:3-4 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” (NIV) It takes courage to advertise such standards, knowing they answer first to Jesus. That is what I based my decision on. I knew if I didn’t get my hot tub, Mr. Neel would have to answer to Him before he ever answered to me. Thank you for a beautiful hot tub! I pray that people extend grace to you and your company through these unprecedented times. I mean, if toilet paper was in short supply for months around the world and lumber has been hard to come by, what makes a hot tub any different? It was a long wait but it was worth it!
I understand theres a pandemicWish i had read these reviews before purchasing Its been over 3 months since the order was placedThe phone # they give is a recordingTheres no one to talk tooCant find an email addressPeoplelikeclearwater??Who are these people? Not this personCome on PLC you can do better ... Better communication with your customers is key
I ordered some Bioguard pool chemicals. After over 4 weeks I cancelled the order. Each time I inquired about my order I got a standard reply that “it should ship within 14 days.” Two weeks is already way to long for a standard, off-thexshelf chemical order. I should have cancelled as soon as I was told the 14 days.
My review is a 3 overall being a mix of great and not so great. The product itself is really good, I would really recommend the Daydream 4500. However, the journey to being able to sit in it has been a long and pretty painful one.The product is great, well made, nice looking and gets nicely hot. The Jets aren’t super powerful on 110v but fine for my needs and I may consider the conversion for a bit more juice at some point. The company clearly bit off more than it could chew during Covid, coupled with they seem to outsource everything to the manufacturer. So whilst the clearwater customer service (Mindy particularly) are great and do what they can, the manufacturers are unresponsive, no shipping updates, missed items, no out of stock communication and are generally of little help. I managed to find the CEOs email (see earlier reviews) which helped a bit. The Covid excuse is only valid up to a point, it is clear the company chased the dollars and took orders when it was already overwhelmed rather than taking a hold to get on top of things and are paying the price now.I can 100% recommend the spa but not the company in its current state. I would highly recommend holding off ordering until you see the recent reviews go back to positive, otherwise you are likely setting yourself up for frustration!
