Unfair changes to subscription terms

I subscribed when there were no credit limits, and everything functioned as promised. However, the company later introduced a new AI credit system that applies to existing subscribers, which feels unfair. I expect my features and limits to remain unchanged until my plan ends. Changing terms mid-subscription is unacceptable. If I upgrade now, will I be asked to pay again if they change the system again? A subscription should honor its original terms.

Cutouts feature is missing

While creating images, I can no longer find the cutouts under the 'Insert' menu. Where did that option go? The only way to access them now is through the main menu under 'Brand,' but I can't add them to my images like before! This app was fantastic for my needs until the 23rd of last month when I discovered this issue, though others had reported it days earlier. Some users mentioned facing this problem for over a week. As of today (12/7/25), I've been waiting two weeks for a fix. Thankfully, I'm not one of the 'paid subscription' users affected, but it's disappointing that even free users like me are having these issues. Everything else for editing is still functioning well. The company needs to restore this feature quickly. Note: Today, I found a potential temporary workaround. If you have an Android or iPhone, go to app.PhotoRoom.com. On my phone, under the options in the top right corner, ensure 'Desktop site' is enabled. If it works, you can see all your cutouts when you click 'Insert' while working on a design. While the white background isn't ideal, it's a minor inconvenience to regain essential functionality.

Poor customer service experience

I have had a subscription for a few years, focusing solely on importing and exporting photos with a white background. My annual subscription recently jumped from $90 to over $2500, which is unjustifiable. I should be able to continue my work without such drastic price increases. Additionally, I'm unable to batch import as before, only exporting one by one now, which wasn't previously a limitation. I've reached out to customer service and am still waiting for a response. Another issue is that to do single exports, I now need to provide full access to all my photos, which doesn't make sense.

Money-driven practices

This company seems solely focused on profit. While the app is decent, the pricing structure suggests it offers more than leading photo editing software, which isn't true. The AI is subpar, and downloads are limited unless you pay significantly more. Recent updates have driven away many loyal customers. Consider this a warning.

Photoroom is a scam

Photoroom is a scam. they have deliberately stolen money from me and you. From my experience with photoroom. I no exactly what everyone has been though. You are curious and take a look at it. Your told that you will not be charged if you don't want or like it. There's no way to cancel it. I tried. I thought I had. I got my visa statement. I disputed it. They still wouldn't back off. There's no phone to talk to anyone. I had to text talk to a computer.. I was told your to late to get a refund. Even though I linked proof documents screen shots. Of my visa bill. The screen shots of the accepted status that I had cancelled. I'm in the process of a class action lawsuit against them and need more people. Can you crushed shell beach at g mail . Com

Not usable anymore, crazy limits and prices

I used the app for years. Now in the middle on subscription year they put the limits on batches, even better my batch shut off in the middle of the batch, and I got the message “limit restart in December, which is was 2 weeks away. I had work to do, I was do frustrated. I checked new plans, and upgrades, it’s crazy!!! Now if I want same service ( still some limits) that I enjoyed for $90 a year I have to pay $900. What is this???? Just for background removal with the limits!!!! Change of terms for active subscribers just criminal. Looking for other options, Wrote to Castomer Service, got pre written “we have to…” “ it’s fair” crap back.

Not worth the money now.

Have used PhotoRoom for years, I pay weekly but I have just cancelled my subscription. I cannot believe what a stupid decision they have made to limit batch exports, I now only have 125 per week. Totally not worth it, I will be moving to a competitor. They will loose lots of customers. Ridiculous decision, even if they reverse it. I will not be back.

used a loooot, paid every months 10 pounds. now they give us a limit for batch editing photos. its useless for me with that limits. bye, photoroom will never see my money again. thanks
