Review Time
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the bad opinions here. I used to buy these shoes in Spain and in Italy, they were good leather and good quality. About a year ago I noticed that the quality had gone down but I thought it was just a one off. Last fall I ordered 2 pair and never received them (got a refund). But the online site still says 'processing' on that cancelled order!I just today received 4 pair to try, all 4 poor quality. They do not say what they are made of or where they are made. Probably the original company was sold and the quality went down. I will be returning these and will not buy from them again.
Worst run business ever. Don't waste your money with this rogue business. This is a business with no customer services, no order control, no one picks the phone, no one responds to emails after trying for over 30 days. I placed an order for a male shoes size 42 EU, I received a female shoes size 36 EU and now I am stuck with it, because there is no one to talk to. They will be happy to take your money.
I am plesantly surpised by the online shop, the customer service, great tracking and shipment! Not at least the quality! Initially I was worried about the order after I have red all the reviews, but I have taken the risk and it is worthy. Muchas gracias Pikolinos!
Consumers Beware! Pikolinos markets itself as a high quality, Spanish leather shoe brand. However, the shoes & boots are actually MADE IN CHINA with a quality befitting a $30 shoe rather than a $200+ shoe. Shame on you Pikolinos for your deceptive ads. I was impressed with your online design images and thought I was buying genuine, Spanish-crafted, high quality leather products. Instead, I received poor fitting, low quality shoes and boots. The boots arrived creased, scuffed, and were made of a plasticky, thin leather, with zippers that stuck. I tried them on just to see if they were even comfortable, but my feet actually ached just from walking around the house to check the fit. The leather of the shoes was better than the boots, but they were also scuffed and fit poorly. Sizing down would not make a difference as the shoes hit my arch in a strange way. Sadly, this appears to be another company that probably started off right, but then let the bean counters transfer manufacturing to China and trump quality for short term profits. I am returning my purchase and don’t intend to buy this brand again. I wish I had read recent reviews before buying and I hope I don’t have to fight like others have claimed to get my money refunded. Thank goodness my credit card company is good about protecting its members from this sort of stuff. I will try to write an update on my refund.
I am really disappointed this year. I have been wearing pikolinos for a few years now and I have a pair from 2016 up until 2019 (each year). The Royal W4D W4D-8717 style this year is still made with leather on the outside but the inside of the shoe is made with cheap fabric. Usually it's a thick knit material and I noticed a huge difference from prior years. This year the inner fabric of the ankle boot is thinned out and flimsy compared to prior years. Pikolinos used to make high quality shoes but are now jumping on the cheap bandwagon. I have gotten these ankle boots every year for 4 years. Clearly the company tried to hide it by making the fabric you can't see, cheaper quality this year but not fooled.
I bough good looking shoes in Spain for €110, had a good try walking around the shop, back to Gibraltar I can't where them more than 15 min. My feet getting numb, I have to stop, take them of for another 15 min. Yesterday was so bad, I had to walk home from work barefoot!Today I am in pain, can't walk in any shoes. I love their products but recently when something went wrong, their customer support team were absolutely fabulous! They handled the issue professionally and extremely efficiently. I've an even bigger fan now! That's what premium brands are all about. Well done to you all!
UPDATE: Pikolinos have now agreed to ship me a new pair immediately. Bought a pair of boots in Spain. On return to the UK, I discovered the lining was ripped. Pikolinos asked that I sent photos and copy of the receipt, which I duly did. They have said that they will arrange to pick up the faulty pair, although goodness knows when they seem unable to tell me. And then will ship me a replacement. I have asked for an immediate replacement as I have a special occasion coming up but they are refusing to ship a new pair immediately. I have tried to phone them on the Customer service number in Spain but I keep getting cut off. Each email takes at least twelve hours to get an answer. I can see this is going to take at least two weeks to get resolved.
I have been buying Pikolinos for years now, whether in Spain or from their website. The leather quality is excellent, they tend to look good even when nearly worn out and they are so light and comfortable, highly recommended. When ordering online they always arrive with beautiful and robust packaging, I've never had an issue.
