Apparently you need 15 days notice to cancel a membership no other membership is like this? apparently you need one month advance cancellation or 15 days I made my mind up recently that I don't want to go gym and now they REFUSE to refund me? £25 has been taken and I really need this money, lady on the phone made sure my membership is cancelled however told me 100% no chance of a refund, why can you not supply me with a refund?!
Cancelling a membership with places leisure is not easy at all. It's not clear and the fact that they don't clearly specify the 15 day cancellation period OR do not issue refunds is awful. In their contact us section it says 'cancelling a membership' so I filled it all out and they didn't even contact me back or did anything? Had do find out over call that a cancellation never went through. Horrible ui and horrible unclear way of cancelling, never getting a membership with places leisure again.
New refurb v good & much needed. However did not expect to be sharing changing rooms. Not sure I agree with this decision in terms of security & general feeling of comfort. The 'no shoe' entrance is ridiculous. I do not want to catch anything off the floors. Ideally they should have had darker tiling as before. Toilet seats seem to not fit properly after all the money spent. Seems done on the cheap! There needs to be a general bin in the ladies toilets for used shampoo bottles etc.
