I’ve an otherwise perfectly serviceable Proform treadmill and just been informed my machine is no longer supported. Ifit will no longer work with my machine - no advance warning! They offered to sell me a new treadmill at a 20% discount. Scrap my treadmill and buy a new one due to ‘software issues’. I don’t think so…..
I purchased a Proform Studio Bike June 2023. The item was delivered damaged and unable to be used. I spoke to customer service 4 times regarding parts and service. They refused to send a replacement. I am currently waiting til September 7,2023 for a second repair on a brand New purchase. I have never got to use. It will be 3 months from purchase date til I may have a working product. I am beyond frustrated and upset with this product/ company.
Purchased the Pro-Form Hybrid Trainer. 2 Parts were either broken or the holes for screws did not line up. I received replacements. 1 replacement had missing parts, so needed to reorder it. I wanted to send the whole thing back as I have spent a few hours now trying to resolve assembly issues. I keep getting passed around to different Departments. I was told that I would have to pay $250 to send the machine back. I have not done that yet. Instead I paid to get someone to come out and assemble it (regretting that now). I have been waiting 2 weeks for the assembly person to show up. When you call for an appointment you only get voice mail and no one returns your call. Recommend you purchase thru Amazon and maybe try a different company.
I purchase a rower proform 220R 8 months ago and the bungee cord popped. I called and the part itself is over $200. I purchased this rower for $250. Ridiculous amount for this part. Seems like they just want you to purchase another one. No thank you. Disappointed in Texas.
I purchased an elliptical - Carbon ELModel Number PFEL55920.3 - less than two years ago, so of course my warranty has expired. The console stopped working, I opened it up and a battery looking part on the electrical panel had broken open, sticky yellow stuff all over the panel. I tried to call customer service and they said there wasn’t anything they could do besides offer me a whole 3% off a new console. Which would be $225. The multiple service representatives I spoke with clearly didn’t care or apologize that their product had stopped functioning. Regardless of a warranty or not, if I’m paying hundreds of dollars for equipment, it should last. Take some responsibility for your products please!!!
I purchased a new ProForm Pro 9000 directly from ProForm -I like the unit but the belt is slipping and the machine is making an awful noise. The customer service is terrible. They are asking me to diagnose the machine and informed me it will be $159 for a service call.....on a brand new machine. I have been emailing back and forth since the machine arrived. When asking for a return they informed me it will be $250 plus 10% - do not buy from this company.
This is the worst company I paid about $1900 for a Hitt14 elliptical including the warranty From the first day. I had issues with this machine bent handle bar. Loud squeaky noise my neighbors could hear…. now a broken axel….the first tech came to my home 3 to 4 times….. it takes months to get anyone out here and when they come they always have the wrong parts so another month or so for a return visit. I was told by the tech that the ellipticals was made in a way that it is hard to fix maybe a replacement is warranted. Next then you know the warranty company told me that the tech was not comfortable returning…. I was perplex because each time he was here it was nothing but respect given from me and he gave the same back to me….After arguing with the warranty co…they sent out a tech who also stated the hours it will take to repair elliptical is not worth it but he will try….all the parts were ordered and I was given the date of 9/11/23 for a return service call and until this day I have not heard back from the tech…. I reached out to him several times….
Edit: This edit is after ProForm's response. They give the reason that there are global manufacturing and shipping delays. However, I still give a 1-star review as the machine should have been of the quality to not need a new console after only 6 months of use. In addition, the backorder on the console and the fact that they ran out of this part indicates a major issue with the original consoles on the ellipticals. Hence a 1-star review still applies as there is obviously a quality issue. ----------------Steer clear of ellipticals by ProForm. I received my ProForm elliptical (Model PFEL99521) on December 1, 2022. It worked great for 6 months and then the console short circuited and fried itself. After going round and round with the warranty department, a new console was ordered on May 1, 2023. After checking on the order status and getting a couple different stories, I am now told that the estimated ship date is not until July 28. So I had the product for 6 months before it broke and now have to wait 3 months to even get it fixed. The last excuse I told was that they got some consoles in but then they ran out. This implies there were major issues with the original consoles. Poor quality. Poor management. Poor service.
Treadmill was bought in February. It stopped working in three weeks. I called and they tried referring me to Duham's. Duham's said it is up to Proform whether to repair or replace. They finally said they would repair but the parts were back ordered for eight weeks. So I bought a treadmill that broke in a month and cannot get it fixed for another three. I called there and no one can ever find my email in their system, they transfer around and pass the buck and are not accountable. I have MS and need to walk every day. Thanks for your absolutely horrible service. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE!!
I bought a Proform Hiit h14 on 4-9-2023. It was delivered on 5-9-2023.. broken. Possible reed switch, plus missing one arm bolt. I called customer service, not helpful. Said I could still use the machine without the reed switch. Last time I checked, you needed to use the arms for a full workout, kinda hard when your missing bolts so the arm is hanging due to missing bolt. Fought them to have a tech come to the house, finally agreed and a tech was scheduled for 5-29-23. Then proform called to tell me they couldn’t come repair on the 29th and they could come the 29th of June. Ow having spent nearly $1800, can’t use, and frustrated, I asked for a refund. They refused to give me a full refund, because I didn’t give them time to fix it and an admin fee. This came to $435. What a joke!Proform has made me this out to be MY problem for THEM sending ME a broken machine. It’s ME who has to wait for THEM to fix, all the while I paid a lot of $ for a working machine and didn’t get that. I paid in full too. I will NEVER buy another proform again especially from proform.com.
