Front door saga continues. Workmen polite, helpful but no record on system, My Account? Just previous call out where it was referred for a complete new door and surround, which said " completed".Since then I missed another Workman, due to work who left a card. Tried a few times over a few days and finally got to speak to someone. I gave details of the new door request, full door- no glass NG01. Yes, Alarm, yes Side Panel , yes existing door bell. Also rang Riverside switch board to say the same thing.My mobile can not receive calls due to a Server/ phone issue.I can be reached by email, 01625 251033 all evening or a card posted in my home.
It was a really good experience of service for me, the communication was great, from being able to book appointments myriverside account right through to the text messages reminding me of my appointment date and time slot for my repairs, the only other thing that would be helpful that I can think of at the moment is putting the type of job, e.g. gas, electrical, joiner, plumber on the text messages that have the job numbers on, as a suggestion for improvement, as this may help to jog a memory of what the repair(s) are for. I really love the text that told me the name of the contractor and that I was informed Jill H was on the way, this helped manage my anxiety she was very polite, respectful and took the time to explain a few things to me I’m grateful that now I know and it has helped me understand that I could change some of the things myself, with a little know how it helps a lot as I know what to do for next time for myself before calling a contractor if that doesn’t work.
If I could give 0 stars I would.I have reported the front door to the block of flats being broken at least 4-5 times in the past 12 months.They send somebody out to fix it, this only half fixes it and then it breaks again in 3-4 months and so the cycle continues. You are unable to speak to the actual people who come to fix the door, just the staff at riverside.For context, we are unable to open the door from the inside - a massive safety issue, if there was to be a fire - we have to go out the back door.I also came home today to two random people In the hallway of the flat, who obviously got in because the door wouldn't shut properly - a massive safety issue.Please contact me and sort this absolute mess out. The door is under warranty, but only for another 1-2 years, I feel like it's being drawn out until this point where we'd all have to pay, for your incompetence- just replace the door already
No show for repairs appointment poor communication I sent a home improvement form almost 2 years ago and no progress at all. Poor communication unless it’s about your rent no one cares if you’re alive or dead in the property a real shame!!! Don’t know who my housing officer is as no contact in over a year.
I am a tenant in Margate Addington street I was housed in the flat I am in after finding my beloved dad unexpectedly deceased and was classed as a squatter in the house I shared with my dad of 10 years I was forced into moving into the flat I am in now. from day one I was living next door to a crack head that took a year for him to be evicted that caused me extreme stress and anxiety he had visitors all hours of the day especially early hours of morning his door was being kicked in numerous times even the main door to the block was smashed up constant police raids threats of violence towards me and even someone dying in his flat that brought on memories of the passing of my dad I have had no peace for three years all after losing my dad unexpectedly I am extremely dissatisfied with Katie furguson the housing officer for east Kent I am not the only one that’ has a negative view about our so called housing officer I have had to escalate a complaint to stage 2 just for her to get in contact strange that. she picks and chooses who she helps some tenants get help with like carpet and white goods and some don’t get nothing me being one of the latter I have suffered extreme asb/harassment from a tenant above me that has come to my door with a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill me and no action was taken he has done so many things like throwing bleach over my open windows even 4 mop buckets of bleach water over my front door and it even got on my poor dog I had to shower her down constant extreme banging on my ceiling night and day threats to stab me in the neck all caught on my CCTV but still no considerable action has been taken against this perpetrator it has had a massive impact on me having to write in anti social diary make audio recordings provide constant footage off my CCTV and constant calls to police riverside council even though the perpetrator has made false allegations and has not provided no proof of his false counter allegations I get told it’s a long process to take tenants to court so they asked if I was willing to move I foolishly said yes I would only if it was not in Addington Street but I received an offer of a property in the same Road Addington Street two doors down block 47 and It’s a considerably worse block than what I am already living in as stated I just want peace and quiet and to be able to just get on with my life I would not get that if I had accepted that offer it would of been like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire but because the staff you speak to don’t even live in Thanet they don’t grasp how bad these flats are so after I refused the offer I am now the bad guy I received a strongly worded letter stating I will receive no more help I will have to just put up with my neighbor making my life he’ll for even longer and that I will have to continue writing down diary entries sound recordings and even if legal action is taken against him it may not be in your favour and you will not be offered any more propertys riverside says they are tough on anti social behaviour if it wasn’t so soul destroying it would be a joke but clearly not a funny joke it has been affecting my life for too long here is a few incidents I have suffered came to my door with a large kitchen knife bleach water thrown at my front door and windows several times my poor dog is scared practically all the time due to the severe banging on my ceiling noise has an extreme impact on dogs she literally shakes and hides behind my bedroom door I have had to leave my flat sometimes just to get out of the situation it’s a disgrace I am having to proceed with my own civil action says it all hay community safety are no good especially firoza patel being a vulnerable adult with long term health issues with my mobility and mental health I truly feel really let down by all agencies involved but especially riverside housing and Kent Police I have not received a call from a complaint handler
Terribly run company who don't care about their tenants and see you just as a number.Same problem with the house for 7 years: problems with water drainage from the shower and a noisy boiler,which from time to time does not hold the pressure, that only needs to be replaced.Even though I pay for garden maintenance every week, no one has been there for ages. The grass is only cut in front of the house. The garden is so overgrown with weeds that it is difficult to even go in there. Other neighbors do not have this problem.The standard is to make appointments and not show up for them. This year alone I was to have two such appointments. One was to inspect the electrical system in the house, and the other was to inspect the house (doors, windows, kitchen cabinets, bathroom) so that Riverside could decide whether there were any items that needed to be replaced or not. It's nice to waste your holidays on meetings that never happen. UPDATE:My customer number at Riverside is: 9666002030004. I would like to ask for email contact. Some of the problems have already been solved, but not all.
Lived in one of their properties for about 6 years. The old landlord was great, lovely guy, but then someone else took over. The building was falling apart, filled with rats, mice and other vermin. There was damp, mould, water damage, cracks in the walls, and rat urine soaked into the communal carpets. The rental agreement claimed our Internet and electricity were included, and yet they do not provide Internet and charge you twice for electricity. Hellhole doesn't do it justice. Do not ever use Riverside Estates, they are human scum.
Have lived in a riverside property for 3 years now, my first flat had no running water and my bathroom flooded when I got a shower because the shower base had been fitted upside down but nothing was ever done after many complaints and when a workman did come out all they ever said was I WILL HAVE TO SPEAK TO MY SUPERVISOR and rubbed their chin I will have to log the job again but according to the building manager all my jobs had been done...lazy liars. So I was moved to another flat were my toilet fell off the wall when I flushed it smashing the main toilet and the seat..they fitted a new toilet but I waited nearly 9 months for a new seat.Just should not be happening.
