Bait and switch

I’m extremely disappointed with Safelite. I was scheduled for service and quoted a price that included tax, along with a $50 discount—which made it seem like a fair deal. But when it came time to pay, I was suddenly upcharged over $60 with no clear explanation.I was told, "We don’t know if there is or isn’t a recycling charge." Really? How do you not know what fees you're charging customers? That’s unacceptable. This feels like a bait and switch, and it left a bad taste.If transparency and honesty in pricing matter to you, think twice before using Safelite. I expected better.

Deceptive Practices

Safelite Glass repair McCallenYesterday, the passenger side front glass exploded out of the window. I immediately called my insurance company, who guided me to Safelite. My deductible is $495.00, and the price Safelite showed without taxes, was $388.80.Surprise! There is a $39.99 recycling fee for the glass. We have already cleaned up 80% of the glass at least. I am sure there is some stuck on the door panel, but it can not be much.When I asked the technician, Alex (who is a really nice guy and great tech), he said it was a fee negotiated with the insurance company. If I wanted to do it without the insurance negotiated price, it would be more. I went online to Safelite, put all my info in, and it came up the same price. Including the recycling fee. No negotiated discount.I then called Juan, the McAllen Safelite manager. He told me the same thing Alex told me.Alex was just repeating what he had been told. I shared that was incorrect info as I had done my homework and knew what the price was. He did not say one word.I asked him to remove the recycling fee as there was not anything to recycle. He then said that it was for vacuuming the glass out between the door panels.This is a deceptive practice. First, I am told it is a negotiated price, then I find out that is not true. I am also going to send this information to the better business bureau. I understand a recycling fee if there is something to recycle.I am going to share this review as many places as I can. I was charged for a service I did not receive.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever, they no call no showed for my appointment spent my entire lunch hour on the phone on hold being transferred absolute shit show, A good promotion and company shirt does not equal good service!!!!

HORRIBLE LOCATION HORRIBLE SERVICE

This is beyond the worst customer service I have witness. There is zero communication within the company, zero efforts on the company side to rectify situations. Making appointments over the phone is pointless. Making an appointment online is useless. The customer service in the Miami Florida location is next to disgraceful. I travel the united states and have used Safelite before. never had an issue. In the past week, we have driven over 200 miles just trying to get our rear windshield fixed. but employees in person or over the phone are useless. I'm worried if I order a windshield with this company ill need to install it myself as well. If it was possible i would give Safelite a negative star. Not only did my vehicle not get serviced, i had to pay for diseal, take time of work and school. Thanks Safelite you wasted a lot of my time and money!

Must learn how to put on new windshield wipers!

The windshield was replaced per schedule, however, the store hours were posted as open until 5PM but I was told right before 4PM after having dropped off my car that they were closing an hour early.The new windshield wipers I had them put on were installed incorrectly (twice!) and finally after the second attempt the person received the right instructions from another employee. One would expect this to be std. knowledge. The only good news is there is a 6 month guarantee.Only an 800 # exists - one cannot call the store directly which is very inconvenient.

This company is the WORSE company I…

This company is the WORSE company I have eve dealt with! USAA recommended this company. They do not answer calls, they didn't show to an appointment. Please stay away from this terrible company. After over a week they still have not contact me and I can't get a person. Could it be possible for a manager to call me? This is a nightmare. Possible the WORSE customer service I have experience ever.

No-Call No-Show

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, no phone number for shop, on hold 25 minutes with customer service, who could not or would not help. Call your local shop !!!

Awful company!!!

Firstly, they charged me more than the quote that was initially given to me! Second, they took forever coming out. They came hours after my appointment time! Lastly, my glass cracked a week after them installing the new one in! They must be using cheap glass! These ppl need to be shut down! Please keep your money and steer clear of them! You will regret it!

Stir away !

Stir away !! they spend money ONLY on ads and songs, customer service 0, punctuality -3, quality 0. I thought this was a reputable company, they dont care, I think that it would be much better with ANY other company. no respect for appointments, NO customer service, they use automated answering that doesnt even do the job right, heeps disconnecting, go with ANY other company, dont commit the same mistake.
