Safelite AutoGlass on Buckley, Aurora, CODo not waste your time. Go to Right Choice Auto Glass. Price is better, and so is service. Every time I try to give these guys my service, they have an issue. 1st time scheduled appt, left car there half a day, and they call stating they don't have my glass, rescheduled another day. 2nd Visit, they want to give a camera calibration charge even though it is not required for my vehicle, extra $300+. Other glass places, including the manufacturer of my vehicle, allow you to opt out via a waiver. Rain sensing windshield wipers is not a needed calibration; don't let them BS you. They keep my vehicle half the day and then tell me there are Error codes upon accepting my vehicle for repair. No codes or lights in my car. Have them show you real time the codes, as I went to the dealership and there were no codes. Lazy douche doesn't want to work on my vehicle. They will never get my business again, effort is two ways, I should not have to push getting service done and pay the price. See ya.
I can't leave less than 1 star? I brought my 2014 Acura MDX in to the Safelite, North Andover location, for a windshield replacement on Feb. 3rd. When they finished the onboard safety camera was not recalibrating. He said it would probably reset. Give it a day. the next morning it had reset. Then I plugged my hardwired radar detector in, and it didn't work. After 3 days of phone calls, I went back to the shop. They took it apart and said there was no damage. Case closed. The manager was very dismissive, and rude in my opinion. I will go out of my way to make sure none of my friends, or anyone I know gives them 1 cent of business.
I have to give SafeLite a 1 just to write this which I believe is too high. We had a windshield installed on our Honda Accord and after a few months into winter we started having moisture getting into the vehicle. We called and scheduled a “technician” come out. To say he was a technician is unfair to those with that title. He showed up and my wife told him what was happening. He inspected and said everything looks good and there was nothing to be done. No pressure water testing…. Taking it to car wash would have done since there is absolutely a leak. But he didn’t. She kept telling him there was a leak and he got short tempered and called her an idiot. My wife is a very sweet girl and I am glad that I wasn’t standing there otherwise things would have escalated quickly. They never fixed their bad installation and we will never go back to them. A few months after this happened my Brother had a rear window in his truck replaced and the same thing happened to him. He is very different from my wife. He was aggressive and didn’t take no for an answer. After they reinstalled it 4 times, they finally got his right. I am very disappointed with them as a company I can trust to do their work correct the first time and treat my wife with respect when all she did was explain that it leaks after having a new windshield installed. They will never see another dime from me or my insurance company on any window replacement or repair. I called and left a complaint and heard nothing back from them. I thought it was a rarity and it was just the location we went to, but then it happened to my brother that lives in another state. Do Not Use SafeLite for your windshield replacement and repairs!!I haven’t been around and didn’t realize this is what happened until months after her experience and seeing what happened to my brother a few months later.J. The staff here is more interested in arguing with customers than actually fixing auto glass. If you enjoy being ignored, dismissed, or spoken to rudely, this is the place for you. They act offended when you ask for basic explanations about their service.
If I could go lower I would. I went to the satellite shot glass location—specifically 2826 Port Industrial Dr Jacksonville Florida 32226 on Friday morning 01/31/25, exact arrival 11:15am I had an 11 am appointment which due to an accident I arrived there 15 mins late. I entered the establishment and the front desk woman whose name she refused to give was rude and told me my appointment automatically cancelled because I was “20” mins late, I told her it’s 11:15, showed her the time and said yes I am late by 15 mins. Now so that you know m, NO ONE was in the lobby, the place was empty! She said regardless I will have to reschedule. I said ok that’s fine please let me know when and again no one is in the lobby. She rolled her eyes and then used profanity a racial slurs and said I’m not rescheduling you. I asked her name again she wouldn’t give it, then I asked for her manager who wasn’t polite as well, however said she will reschedule. Literally after waiting 10 mins I ask will she let me know the availability she then said she is still looking g and she has other things to do. No ONE WAS IN THE LOBBY! I told her never mind it’s apparent you don’t want to service me as I am an African American woman and the only black as I can see in this building. I said I don’t want your business and I’ve rescheduled with a top rated company to have my window shield replaced. I am going to call corporate as well. Discrimination apparently is still valid at least at that location. Horrible experience!!
Horrible experience with Safelite, my insurance company recommended Safelite to replace my windshield and I made an appointment on Thursday from 8am to 1pm, I took the day off work just for this. After 1pm none of the Safelite guys called to explain why they weren't coming, I called them around 3pm and they told me they couldn't make the appointment because it was too late!! Then I told them about tomorrow but they said they were busy but they would come and do it on Saturday from 1-6pm, on Saturday I was waiting for them to come but at 2pm they texted me that they couldn't do it again because I was 6th on the list and he had only done 2 clients.
Can't speak to a local location, all phone numbers go to central call center answered by some offshore person who barely speaks English. Asked about repairs she said they don't do them replacement only. I told her they were at our house over the summer fixing a crack she hung up on me. Will never use SafeLite again.....
Safelite caused damage to my vehicle and is now refusing to fix it. The first mistake I made was calling Safelite. When they replaced my glass, they caused damage to the 'Rain Light Condensation Sensor' a $700 repair. After Safelite replaced my glass, I immediately began receiving fault notices from the vehicle (a 2022 BMW) saying there was a problem with the sensor. My second mistake was assuming this error message could easily be resolved with a simple software reset from the BMW dealership service shop and since I had an appointment already scheduled with BMW for routine maintenance, I figured I'd just take care of everything all at once. After BMW inspected my vehicle, they told me the rain sensor was damaged and asked if I had had new glass recently installed. BMW said they see this often and that they were, and I quote, "1,000% sure this damaged was caused by Safelite." The BMW service rep made this comment with me and the Safelite representative (Charles) on the phone. I had to get Charles from Safelite on the phone myself and merge him in with the BMW rep because Charles couldn't seem to reach the BMW rep on his own. The third mistake I made was hoping Safelite would be responsive. I had called Safelite on a Friday to notify them of the damaged they caused to my car but wasn't able to reach anyone and had to leave a message. The weekend came and went without a call back which I understand but when Monday morning came and went without a call, I began calling Safelite again. I finally received a call back from Charles at Safelite Monday afternoon and gave him the BMW rep's contact information. Charles was going to contact BMW and then get back to me. It was my BMW rep that contacted me close to 5PM saying he hadn't heard from Safelite. I then called Safelite again, got Charles on the phone and then patched the BMW rep into the call. This is when the BMW rep said he was 1000% certain the damaged occurred when the windshield was replaced. Charles from Safelite said he was going to look into it and get back to me. The fourth mistake I made was figuring Safelite would stand behind their work and certainly would do something, anything to repair the damage they caused, right? Wrong. The next day I spoke with "Mike" from Safelite who told me Safelite would not do anything to remedy the situation or the damage they caused. Mike pointed out that I was outside the 30 days I had to notify them of any damage. Mike also said that the dealerships often say that damage such as this was caused by them and that they (Safelite) have no way of knowing what else may have happened to the vehicle. In that brief statement he cast aspersions on both BMW and me as being untruthful, as if this was maybe a conspiracy against Safelite. I offered to bring the vehicle to a different shop or to them, but Mike refused both pointing out I was outside the 30 days to report any damage. I called the national customer service number for Safelite as well and they said they are not able to help me either. They said they could not override the local shop. Listen folks, don't bring your vehicle to Safelite unless you want them to damage it, give you the run around then leave you with a broken car. This was a mistake I will never make again, and I strongly recommend you don't either.
