Return and refund experience was not great!

I shopped at the Bicester Village once and know that their clothes sizes are generally smaller. Therefore I ordered two size in one dresses and other dress in two colours online so I can see what size and colour may suit me. The dresses arrived very quickly no problem at all. However, I returned the duplicate dresses the following day (had chosen one knits dress in the smaller size and the other dress in Pink colour). Despite I received a authorised return label and confirmation of received the return on 7th October 2024, however no refund was received despite I email them several time and eventually I called them again today and finally I received my refund. I have shopped online often, the way to get refund from Self Portray was extremely difficult, I really do not think it should be like this, it really has put me off and thinking will I order their clothes online again? NO!!!

Be careful! Orders worth over 1000€ cannot be returned from Europe back to UK!!

Ordered 5 bridal dresses from their EU website. I have been charged 50€ fee that is usually charged to credits cards when used outside EU, even though i ordered in euro and from their EU site. However this wasnt even the worst part. Returning the goods that are worth over 1000€ back to UK from Europe is almost impossible. Customs asking for certain certifications and forms that can only be downloaded if you have the software generating them and it is not free! We ended up spending 250€ hiring a customs agency to do this work for us and return the goods back to UK. Avoid at all costs if you are ordering from Europe and the order value is over 1000€! They offer no help in the return process. Overall i had to spend 300€ just to try their dresses which arent even such good quality.

Do not order from this shop if you live…

Do not order from this shop if you live in the EU! You have to return the goods by yourself and do all the custom clearance work which is a nightmare. Self Portrait does not help at all. The costsof return are very high because it is outside of the EU.

Review for Self Portrait Dress - dissapointing and quality of service

I recently purchased a dress from Self Portrait online for a relative's wedding, expecting a high-quality product for the price. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I anticipated. Not only did I lose *five buttons* from the dress after just one wear, but I also learned that getting a replacement or refund was impossible because I was outside the 14-day refund window.Customer service initially offered to help, saying they’d try to source replacement buttons from the manufacturer in China. However, they were only able to find two, leaving me with a dress missing three buttons that are almost impossible to replace, given the unique design. I’m very disappointed both with the quality of the dress and the lack of flexibility in customer service, especially for a premium brand. I now have a dress that I can’t wear, and I’m left to hunt for matching buttons myself. I expected much better quality and service from Self Portrait and, unfortunately, will think twice before shopping here again.

WARNING!!

Having bought a dress, which I wore once and the sequins fell off, I unfortunately had to return it. Because this was ‘outside the normal window of returns’ apparently this would take a bit longer to process. The dress was successfully delivered to them A MONTH AGO. No update since then. Have contacted customer services (non-existent) a number of times and they just say I need to wait. REALLY?! - do not but ANYTHING on the assumption that just because it’s expensive that you get better service - you don’t
