Review Time
I purchased a dog bed on September 12th, it came with a free gift (which I didn’t want). The delivery didn’t arrive until October 9th, to add to the frustration the only item that arrived was the free gift. The courier (Evri) took a picture of it being put through the letterbox, when I noticed there was no big box or bag (the dog bed) I emailed them to enquire, they explained that this is all they had received for me in the shipment. I tired to contact Shopify, to which they advised submitting an un-submittable form. They have also stated that they “are not at liberty to confirm of deny if the merchant is using our shop platform to conduct sales” ….erm… but I bought it from your shop, they don’t need to confirm or deny because the receipts, details, products and screenshots are there. I tried to contact the merchant but they don’t have a webesite, and aren’t responding to my emails. I really wanted the bed but considering it’s been 3 months I just want the money back. Can someone please help me?!
Full Scam Shopify, - Don't make shopify account website,- By mistake- i add my card details- they took money and when i chat emails- no one replying and on chat, they said- your monthly subscription cant cancelled, Scam shop on the portal, when asking Shopify for help, they asked me to continue trying to contact the shop that had taken my money and not delivered, they had already ignored all correspondence! I was then told to go to my bank to chase the money! They don’t care that a scam shop is operating on their portal!- Don't trust on them
Honestly, stay clear. We had our account terminated because they insisted that a product we sold was against one of the many policies. We hid the products and replied asking what policies (the manufacturer of the products also uses shopify and so do hundreds of the resellers). They never replied and terminated our account stating that we didn't reply to them...Honestly it's not a great service either way. The backend is slow, everything is an addon with a monthly subscription and the support staff have gone downhill massively - this was the final straw for me. We have opted to move our business to a UK based company (ironically we actually have asked two different companies to review the products with legal and they're both very confused as to why shopify had issue with them but there we go). Just be careful, at the end of the day there's a reason Shopify is cheap.
Shopify have been currently holding nearly 3 months of sales and have had my account on hold due to an issue with their banking partner. I have messaged over 30 times asking for answers as this is my sole income and nearly 3 months without an income is hard in a cost of living crisis. Shopify has now resulted to ignoring all my correspondence. With no one to talk to or resolve this issue I am now forced to write reviews warning people of their terrible service. If you would like to get paid, don't use shopify!!!EDIT*2 WEEKS LATER I STILL DO NOT HAVE A RESOLUTION CONSIDERING I HAVE EMAILED OVER 10 TIMES TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE THEY HAVE WITH MY PAYOUTS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
If I could give no stars I would.We have paid around $400 so far in website theme designs and other services and have the store up and running. We are generating sales, however shopify is withholding this money because they cannot verify our business, even though it is visible on UK companies house with number. We have all the documentation and ID which has been submitted several times. They says there is a merchant services team who need to deal with it, however I am not allowed to contact them myself, it must be via Shopify support, and even then its only via email. I have been told there is no ETA, no timeline, nothing. I told them they were now affecting our businesses ability to fulfill sales as we cannot purchase more stock until our funds have been released, and their answer was 'sorry'. So we now face the issue of having to close our Shopify store and move to a completely new service and repeat the last 3 months work and lose the stock and money from existing sales. I should also note, most of the orders have already been delivered and yet we still cannot get our money. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Thought I closed my account but they've been charging me for 6 months. They even know the account is inactive as they had a message when I logged in to fix it saying "Account inactive for 3 months - sending a security code to your email to access account"The support person I spoke to was nice and polite but was bound by Shopify's refund policy which only allowed them to refund the last bill. I thought a company of this size would be better and more understanding. Especially in a time where many are struggling financially. Most don't have money to throw down the drain for nothing. Very dissatisfied and dissapointed.Edit: My issue is being escalated to someone senior for review. I will edit the review if a positive outcome is achieved.
I am deeply disappointed and saddened by the unjust treatment I received from Shopify. They abruptly suspended my store without valid reason or proof. My website, which had been using the Canolo theme purchased from Envato, was taken down due to alleged licensing issues. However, I had been using the theme for five years without any problems.To make matters worse, Canolo, the theme developer, started selling directly on Shopify, resulting in DMCA takedowns for all websites using their theme. Despite legally obtaining the theme, my store was wrongfully penalized, causing significant financial losses and emotional distress.The suspension occurred on July 1st, impacting my sales and jeopardizing a recently launched campaign for our new hair collection. Our entire social media presence, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, relies on our Shopify store. With the store down, we are unable to advertise or sell our products, leaving our customers disappointed and affecting our business reputation.As a small business owner, this experience has been devastating. I urge others to be cautious when considering Shopify's services. They have shown little regard for small businesses and have failed to provide fair treatment or ample notice. I hope sharing my story prevents others from enduring similar hardships.Please think twice before entrusting your business to Shopify.
