Review Time
Since 5 days server is down no proper reply from customer support nor the senior administrator, nor we are informed what exactly the issue is and when it will be fixed, it’s highly recommended not to use their server, Company which has no value to customers. If there is zero rating it should be given to them there is no way to contact them. There is absolutely no recourse, no person to talk to, customer service chat give a recorded reply. Which is of no use.
If I could give a zero rating I would. Site5 is the WORST hosting provider I have ever worked with. Servers go down on a regular basis, and they have terrible online support. Client sites are not accessible, support is asking you to hold for 5 minutes, or simply saying to try later bc they cannot get access bc they are also impacted/ are using the exact same customer tools that do not work in the first place.I will never host a site with Site5 again. Unless you are a glutton for punishment, I recommend you don't either.
There is no way to contact them. Now I have been locked out of my cPanel and am having trouble even migrating away from them. There is absolutely no recourse, no person to talk to, no chat that works. Nothing. I'll probably have to contact my credit card company to put a stop payment on them.
We had a re-seller hosting account with IX for over 10 years, Site5 bought them and deemed our account to be" not suitable for migration". Domains were all knocked down, DND entries killed. We fought for months and finally ended up getting their support in India to point the name servers of most accounts to our new host. However, we were never able to renew or transfer the domains, and we lost most of our clients after they lost their domains. DONT TRUST THEM!!!
I have a reseller account with Site5 and have done for over 12 years and in that time I have slowly watched the wonderful service they once offered being slowly eroded away to nothing. You can only contact them via chat and more than once I have been charged twice for a service I have ordered to the point of verifying with the person each time that I will only be charged once not twice. They have promised faithfully that they will do whatever I have asked of them and I had one situation where I had to threaten to contact their CEO if they didn't get what I needed done NOW (72 hours later) ! You shouldn’t have to beg a company you are paying to provide the service they promote they offer. It all comes down to money of course everything else has fallen by the wayside. I predict Site5 won’t be with us for much longer if they don’t sharpen their game but based on the reviews I have read here today I don’t hold out much hope. They don’t deserve to be in business if truth be told. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Absolutely useless! on the migration from IX web hosting I have lost a domain name I have had for years. I now have problem with another web site which is down (losing revenue everyday) I have been contacting their support and keep getting the same message 'someone will be in contact with you in the next 24 hour' its like they sign they have in bars 'free beer tomorrow' it never comes. Would advise stay away from these cowboys because when you need their support, they are not fit for purpose. You have been warned.
This used to be a great hosting company.I've been building and hosting websites since 1995. I started out writing them in a VI text editor in Unix. So that's my background. I've had several different hosting companies in that time.Over the last year or more it has gone from a great company with excellent support to a terrible company with virtually non-existent support. I'm pretty sure this is due to the change in ownership / management.I put off relocating for far too long because I host over a dozen sites on their servers and it's a huge hassle to move sites / email servers. It finally got to the point where I simply could not deal with the problems anymore and I moved to SiteGround, which is a LOT better. Also, Site5's servers are not PCI compliant, so my eCommerce site was a daily problem.Just stay away from Site5.
