I am also a former IX Webhosting client and Site5 is horrible! I cancelled them when they took over, after a lot of fighting they finally refunded me in May. Now, months later they have charged me again! After I told them to cancel everything. And mind you, I never gave them my card info, IX apparently did that. They are again refusing to refund me telling me that charge was for the domain. Really, I told them to close my account and never charge me again so no, I should not get a charge for the domain. I don't even have a website anymore. So if you are a former IX, watch your account close.
I wish there was less than 1 star. WORST service ever. Their customer service just talks you in circles, they dont really know what is going on. If you need help, it could take 34 different people, over 1-2 weeks, before one finally is able to help with your issue. They will screw things up on their end and wont be able to fix it! Do NOT rely on them!! Be VERY careful, watch ALL the billing, even AFTER you cancel and switch accounts. Cancel but dont close your account, you will want access as ever when you have fully transferred everything to another provider they will continue to bill and deduct payments!
Had my site on IXWebhosting for years with no issues. Site5 took them over and I have had to spend countless hours trying to resolve one issue after another. I paid for another year just so I can transfer all my domains to another host. I would not recommend Site5 to anyone!
We paid 1 year upfront our website was not working the last 6 months. No credit provided. I don't advise using them at all unprofessional and can not talk to anyone just chat. And the people that chat do not know much and can not do anything always passing the buck to someone else.
Took over account from HostExcellence (who was excellent in the 5 years I used them), and have just plummeted the experience. My production ecommerce sites have been down for several weeks and have lost tons of revenue.Pulled my account. Bad customer service methods. You can only chat and need ridiculous information to start a chat window. Absolutely horrible. Keep away!!!
Site5 took over my website from IX. They are by far the worst company on the web. They have no phone, no email support. they force you into online chat that simply does not work.in the take over they changed the name of my website and now thousands of customers can not access the files they paid to access.Stay away from this company at all costs.
We were automatically migrated from IX Hosting to Site5 during a take-over. WHAT A DISASTER...!!! Site5 service is the WORST EVER! You cannot contact them via phone and their Live Chat service works once in every +- 100, login attempts. The technical support guys appear to be based out of India and are not entirely helpful. But I don't blame them. Don't use Site5 if you are thinking of a new host and start migrating if you are like me and were sold off to them.
