Inherited these guys because the domain…

Inherited these guys because the domain hosting company I was using went bust and moved all their domains over to Site5. They are totally useless. They refuse to pick up a phone even after leaving me with no outgoing email or over a week. They try to operate using a ticket system which is no good as there are hours of waiting for responses.When they do reply with instructions etc the info they give is conflicting and wrong.This is a company to be avoided. I had to move my hosting to a UK company who offer telephone support. Cheaper and far superior.

Deceitful & Malicious

We have been using Site 5 for our business for 7 years; my partner has been with them longer. They have been reliable, consistent and quick to respond to problems over the majority of that time. Every year on the same date, we've paid the same amount...until this year. They raised the price 27% without notice and tried to take it from our bank account 17 days early, the day after Christmas. We noticed because the payment bounced. When we brought it to their attention (via live chat because they do not accept phone calls), the operator disconnected from my partner before any resolution was made. Once my partner reconnected with another chat personnel, he informed them we would be moving our services to another provider, we would not be renewing with them. Last week, 6 days before the payment would be due if we were to continue using Site 5, they pulled the payment out of our account successfully. Upon live-chatting again and demanding our money be refunded, reminding them we are changing services, they tell us we have to go to this link to cancel our services before they can refund our money. After our self-service cancellation, we were promised a refund within 24 hours. It is more than 96 hours later and still no refund. They sent us an email stating we received the refund, but we have not.After typing back and forth for 30 minutes, no resolution. They say they have issued the refund and my bank can see no evidence of the refund. Site 5 will have one of their “senior admins” contact me via email “soon.” Given that their idea of 24 hours is more than 96, I’ll be happy to get this resolved next week sometime. I wonder if they even plan on refunding at all?In switching our services over, the new company said they have been flooded with very upset former Site 5 customers. What d’ya know?!

Once was great

Once was great, now just plain awful! Years ago, I used to recommend Site5 to everyone I knew. They had fantastic customer service, very little down time, and fab tech support. Then they sold out- literally- and everything went to crap. My sites went down constantly, but of course it was never their fault. Getting an answer to a ticket could take days, sometimes weeks! They raised the price out of the blue without warning, so I was paying more for even crappier service. We were going to cancel and move, but they took out my money nearly a week before my next cycle began, then refused to give me a refund. Seriously horrible. Stay away.

The most dismal service on the planet

The most dismal service on the planet. These guys used to best in business - we used to have all our services with them, but now that are HOPELESS. We have moved all our services away except for one minor service and it takes 3+ days to get a resolution on the smallest isssue. Avoid.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. All positive reviews were from before the buy out. They offer no phone support. Serious issues get sent pushed to their ticket system and sometimes never get responded to. I have wasted countless hours of my life with this company's live chat.

Useless CS. Never use site5

When I started using site5 i was impressed by their customer service: each time something happened they helped me fixing the problem within few hours.Now the CS has been outsourced to some external company and it became ridiculous. Each time I ask for help I get a random answer, to which I have to reply to please read my request before answering, then I get another random answer and this keeps repeating. In one occasion they even messed up my site and I had to pay a developer to get me back on track.This is absolutely unacceptable, a company transforming their strongest asset in their biggest fault doesn't deserve anyone's business.

Worst support ever

Worst support ever. Signed up with them because they had 24 hour phone support. Then they went to a chat only model. Absolutely horrible. Ten minute lags between chats. No real help. Double billing on my account and all they do is offer to open tickets that get responded to several days later with irreverent information. Save yourself from this nightmare of a company.

The very worst company I've had the …

The very worst company I've had the misfortune to deal with.I was a customer for 10 years, and for 8 they were excellent. I have never experienced such a freefall in service and customer care as Site5 have gone through in the last year or so. The final straw for me was 3 weeks ago when they accidentally terminated my account, deleting all my websites, and deleting all my emails, without any notice.They effectively terminated our relationship by mistake, and have done next to nothing to try and restore it. Customer service tickets aren't replied to for days (and it seems this is why my emails were deleted - had they looked into their initial error sooner, the emails would have been retrievable) and there is very little evidence of anyone there taking ownership of problems. I cannot warn people enough - there is no reason to use this company at all.Since then, I started looking around for alternative hosting companies. I found loads who offer a service where they will migrate your websites over to their hosting from cowboys like site5. This is usually free of charge.I wish I'd done this. As it is, the new hosting cos have both been excellent so far, and infinitely better than site5. If you're reading this and use site5, I'd urge you to research alternative hosting companies. Find one with decent reviews, make contact, and see if they'll migrate your account away from shite5. You will not regret it.

SITE5 Support

I have been using SITE5 for a few years now and it has been ok. The support previously was excellent. However recently we have a problem where our company could not download email to Outlook. The support has been atrocious - it is now 4 days and still no resolution which is causing major problems for our company.I will be changing hosting asap.

From Awesome to HELL on the net!!Service used: VPSBeen with site 5 for a number of years now and I have always given reviews for then as always been reliable and support was best I had come across very quick efficient and very helpful even if error was of ones own making..BUT NOW!! AVOID!! at all costs, they don't answer your support tickets, live chat is utter waste of time, would get more pleasure banging head on wall!! my site now has no web access although still get ftp... so backing up site myself and I shall be off to pastures new. just glad I am towards end of a payment cycle so can get out without losing cash as well..AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! will I recommend a friend no I would not,. I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy!!These morons have killed the good name and service of Site 5... if this score thing would let me I would give "0" across the board...
