Only primary user can use the app. I’m a secondary user of the car and cannot charge car anywhere without bothering primary user to prompt start charging. So inconvenient! Had to drive on petrol only while was away from home without primary user. Can’t wait till lease ends. Skoda? Never again…
Ordered myself a brand new enyaq 85x sportline in black and 1 option being the maxx pack. Told its 29 weeks delivery time. All we hear about is manufacturers are not selling electric cars because nobody wants them. Well they might sell more if they got their thumbs out of theirs arses and built them faster
I want to share my recent experience with my 2023 Škoda Kodiaq to highlight a serious breakdown in cross-border customer support. While on holiday in Marseille with my wife and two young children, the car completely failed to start — no lights, no ignition. The AA European Assist arranged recovery and confirmed it wasn’t a battery fault, suggesting a deeper electrical issue requiring a Škoda-approved dealership diagnosys.Despite my repeated efforts, for four weeks no Škoda France dealership agreed to inspect the car. The only solution offered was to repatriate it to the UK, a process expected to take 4–6 weeks. The AA were very supportive and extended their courtesy car well beyond policy limits. However, Garland Motors Škoda Aldershot — who sold me two top-of-the-range Kodiaqs (£100k+ in 4 years) — refused to provide a courtesy vehicle, citing the lack of a diagnostic. This is an internal process issue, not a customer-centric solution. The result? I am left paying finance on a car I cannot use, funding my own rental vehicle, and managing two children during the summer holidays without adequate transport. As a loyal customer, I find the lack of coordination between Škoda UK and Škoda France unacceptable. A global brand should provide seamless support across markets but they don't seem to have any relationships.I am still requesting that Škoda provide a fully covered courtesy/rental car until my own vehicle is repaired and returned. I am spending £80 a day on a smaller rental vehicle and I don't see the end of this terrible experience.I still hope Škoda will address this urgently and prevent other customers from facing the same experience. In the meantime, Skoda has great cars. If anything happens, you're pretty much on your own.
I reported a corrosion issue on my Skoda Citigo in October 2024, involving rust around the fuel filler area — which inspection showed had started from inside the panel. This is exactly the type of problem Skoda’s 12-year anti-perforation warranty is meant to cover.Despite this, and the fact that my car has full Skoda service history and has always been maintained by Skoda main dealers, my claim was rejected on the grounds of an alleged service history issue — something not mentioned in the official warranty terms. After months of delays, lost documentation, and no meaningful communication from Skoda, I’ve now had to escalate the matter to The Motor Ombudsman. It’s also clear from owner forums and customer experiences that this rust issue is common on Citigo models, and some dealers have repaired it under warranty, while others seem to dismiss it unfairly. There appears to be no consistent approach, and many customers like myself are left chasing answers.I expected far better from a manufacturer like Skoda. The way this issue is being handled suggests the corrosion warranty is not being honoured as it should be — particularly for a known fault affecting multiple vehicles.
18 month old Enyaq all electric on Motability. I first thought there was a fault in the steering but it turns (!) out to be 'Lane Assist' which looks for white lines and makes self steers to where it thinks you should be, having been quite forcibly steered into many potholes and oh so nearly annihilated a couple of cyclists I turned the feature off, but it's only for that current trip, I contacted Skoda to tell them of the issue and they phoned me to ask me to go into a new menu that had appeared which gives you the option to fully turn off this dangerous feature, Yup it worked! Brilliant! then part way through a journey it came back I turned it off again, it came ba ............ and so on, so it's now a complete lottery, 'life is like a box of chocolates' comes to mind. Joking aside this erratic feature has the power to intervene in where you want to go, quite forcibly. Skoda have not replied to my latest emails hence me taking to Trustpilot. It's sat outside now making it's clunking sounds it makes when plugged in (but not actually on charge), what a duff vehicle this truly is
WAS TAKING TO SKODA DARTFORD AFTER A BREAK DOWN WITH MY 14MOUNTH OLD CAR THEY HAD IT 2 DAYS AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHINK WRONG WITH IT SO I HAD TO PICK IT UP FROM THE GARAGE AS THEY WOULD NOT DELIVER IT TO ME IAM DISABLED THE NEXT DAY IT BROCK DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGH STREET SAME FAULT .SO IWOULD NOT RECOMEND
I would rate Skoda ZERO if I could!I bought a very low milage Skoda Octavia from Garland Motors Skoda.I truly hate to admit it, but Its been an utter lemon since I bought it. (Well to be honest my previous Skoda suffered smoke in the Cabin - way before its time too, but thats not this lots fault..)1/ Failure 1 - Intermittently faulty Computer : Unreliable, and the garage never investigated it properly - no fault found. To the point I have had to purchase a stand-alone SatNav, yes its really that bad - having to reset it on trips, not coming on after car-start, etc.2/ Failure 2 - Car Failed while on warrantee and on holiday, and had to be towed back to the dealer costing me a holiday. Fault was a manufacturing loose wire behind the fuse-box. Great build quality there..3/ Failure 3 - Car Radiator suffered a catastrophic radiator leak, with no accidents, no impact - costing me a small fortune. Clearly defective, less than 5 years old, with very low milage. In short Skoda cars are simply utter trash.Their Build Quality is atrocious.Their Dealers sell grossly overpriced 2nd hard cars, filled with known defects which they don't properly repair, even under warrantee - and if you complain to Skoda UK they just ignore you anyway.I've had 20 year old Toyota and have a 14 year old Nissan cars that had a fraction of the major faults this car has had over 3 years! (Well none actually!)Run dont walk!Get a good Japanese car instead!(Maybe German, but considering this pile of bolts apparently has the same engine / radiator as VW...)
Lucky to get 1 star, do not buy Skoda, their service and support for issues is utterly useless, I bought a £50k superb and although the issue is minor, it's been going on since December last year and they don't want to help, they've pulled the complaint and said the car is road worthy although the issue still exists but they cannot fix it yet Absolutely no interest in helping out, they didn't talk to me or the dealership before pulling the support so if you don't want to waste money, don't buy Skoda.
