SKY are the worst of the worst

SKY are the worst of the worst! I am no longer with SKY after many years. They are slippery and have zero customer service. Ten times worse since Comcast took over, typical american big corporate attitude. They raise the subscription half way through a long 18 month contract, no wonder people cancel. I was paying £34 pm for SKY Signature and Sports and they raised the cost to £58pm....what a bad joke are SKY, so I cancelled them. Now I pay for basic Netflix £4.99pm and we have watched the marvellous free channels in the UK, ITVx, CH4 and FREEVIEW. SKY deserve to lose customers, they are awful!!

HALF a star! Since moving from Sky+, the overall usage is more complicated. Home screen less helpful. NO Planner list which was easy to use on Sky+.
Customer services either online or phone are more interested in getting an upgrade Sky Q is Utter cack! I'd actually give less than had a star if I could. Sky offered me what appeared to be a good deal upgrading me to Sky Q. I hate it. A piece of junk. Doesn't pick up new series on series record. Refuses to connect to Internet, the Internet is down each morning takes ages to insert password as they have a stupid alphabet instead of a keyboard. Often doesn't play last section of a recording. Definitely cancelling at end of this contract. Had this Q box a couple of months now and it really is a bunch of crap, I’ve cheated here and partially copied a couple of other reviews as they say how I feel.

After being a loyal customer with Sky…

After being a loyal customer with Sky for over 16 years, I decided to go for a cheaper option and move to Virgin Media. OMG WHAT A MISTAKE. I was left on the day of installation without TV as the engineer connected to a 20 year old cable which didn't work and then I had over 4 hours of different calls with Virgin media call centre which seems like its based in India. Just a complete shambles!!! I am happy to say, I have gone back to Sky within 5 days. Sky's customer centre is on another level to Virgin and they are more expensive but 100% worth it after going through that pain with Virgin. Just incase anyone else is thinking of going to Virgin media.... don't do it!!!!

Sky TV extremely poor

AwfulCustomer service extremely poor thinking of leaving my unique reference 2626386987.I never been treated like this as a long time customer to sky over 30 years . I just do not understand no call back as promised internet on them off poor service the TV is the same

Go “BLACK BEAUTY”

All previous reviews have said it all - the new white sky box is not worth upgrading too. I did - paid my $150 and have now returned it for the old black box. They talk about the KISS principal - keep it simple, stupid. Well the new box couldn’t be furthest from this saying. I’m more disappointed that there is not a negative rating available because that is what it deserves.

DON'T switch from your old black box!!!

The new white Sky box is just out in NZ. I fell for it and after two of us spending over 1/2 a rare sunshiney afternoon trying to set it up via chat bots, I've experienced nothing but frustration with it. We watch most things on delayed play or pre recorded to ff through ads. It doesn't speed up play but jumps through packets so its impossible to stop in the right place. The menu is also just awful to get used to. The remote responds so slowly that you don't know if it has received the instruction. Too many gripes to write here. Stick with the black box. Now the fight to get hold of someone to swap it back. That'll take another half a day I guess. Very unhappy with it.

The new white sky box is rubbish don’t upgrade

The new sky box that came out in NZ not long ago ie the White Box is a joke , There are so many things wrong with it that the list is too long to write, Do not upgrade to the new box stick with the old Black decoder, I fall for it and have now sent the white one back and have got the old black decoder back

Sky Q is just bad

Sky Q is just bad. First you can't turn off the pin so you'll constantly have to pick up the remote. Then when your program is on an annoying pop up appears asking if you want to start again. This doesn't p off so pick up the remote again. Just not very streamlined or user friendly. YouTube crashes all the time. Funnily enough. I had to stop typing this to put the bloody pin in again! This is just bad

The new sky box is awful

The new sky box is awful. The tv guide page now only shows a fraction of the channels the old box showed and you cannot go from the first to the last page (for plus one channels) without going through pages and pages of channels. The blue background with white writing makes it much harder to read. Recording is a joke. Set to record a series and it records every episode including the repeats and omnibus - 3 recordings of the same episode of coronation street. Thats when it records at all. Many shows have recorded a few minutes at a time and I have had to go to down a list opening recordings to watch 5 minutes then close and go to the next 5 minute recording. The list on the old sky box was so easy to see what was recorded and what was waiting. The tiles on the new box make it very difficult to see. Most are the same colour with small writing. Your eyes are drawn to the few who have a picture to show the programme. The control keeps disengaging with the box and is slow to react. The voice control advertised is a con. It works for finding shows on netflix but does not work on the sky channels where you would want it. It will take you to the tv guide but thats it. I am ready to return my box and plug in my own one. I would not recommend this at all. Stick with the old one. It is far more user friendly.
