The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am registered as disabled and work from home. Well I used to!! 10 days ago Sky switched off my WiFi due to late payment. I have been a customer for over 20 years I may add. This was an error on my part and I paid straight away yet 10 days later I am still waiting to be reconnected. I have made numerous calls to their customer services (begging for help and in tears) and yet they have done nothing to support me. I have now lost my job due to being unable to work and my son is struggling to study for the most important exams of his life that start today. This company is a complete disgrace. If they had competition they wouldn’t even exist! I have an appointment today with my local citizens advice and also the local press. This company has destroyed my life yet can’t even return my call.
This year my father died and my sky subscription was the worst thing that happened to me this year. When I had to cancel it because we left his house. They keep telling me to give back the router in 1 month, that this month is free and then when I try to return it they sayy contract is still active.
I sent back some equipment back to Sky on the 07/03/24. After about two weeks i was getting emails and texts from Sky asking for the equipment to be returned to them. I told Sky that i had proof of dispatch from the Post Office,and i also had a text from Sky thanking me for the dispatch of the equipment. However this morning I received an email from Sky that I had to pay £117.00 for the non return of equipment. I phoned Sky up to query this,and I finally got it all sorted. Apparently all the emails and texts are computor generated. This seems that this company is more interested in badgering people for money, than customer satisfaction. They are a rip off company.
I signed up for the complete 9 yards with sky. TV, broadband, phone and mobile. The transition from BT and Vodaphone was good. Sky did not put on HD so I had to call them and it all went smoothly. But I found that they had signed me up for UHD - I would not have don that as I do not have A UHD tv. So for 5 days now I have been trying to get it sorted. Some guy says he will take it away and get back to me. Nothing happens. I make complaint. They call me tell me to call customer services and when I do after listening to inane chatter and answering questions that are wholly irrelevant for 5 minutes I find some woman who has no clue what she is doing. There is no record on my sky account of my calls and my complaint and no-one seems to have any understanding of how to put the matter right. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE ONCE EFFICIENT SKY SERVICE? It seems to be managed, or should I say mismanaged, from India and the level of service is very low now. IT IS VERY TELLING THAT SKY NEVER RESPOND TO POOR REVIEWS ON TRUSTPILOT. Says something about their customer care.
I’ve been a customer for over 10 years, maybe 15. A platinum member apparently (if that means price hikes) I asked to speak about my package and they said call back in 7 days and we can tell you about the offers after over 20 minutes on the phone. Also, if you look at the top picks on sky more often than not several of them are on different streaming networks. We’re I a new customer I would be paying much less which one can only assume means that they value new customers more. Sky boost is increasing by a staggering 20%…… what is that about? My advice would be to not get sky boost at all and ignore sky movies and spend the money on renting a movie on prime or similar. Sky movies has been very poor in recent months with a large number of the releases aimed at children. Top tip…. Use things like apple/Disney and iplayer through your tv apps as they run much faster compared to through the sky box. The insurance is a scam because you do not own the box anyway so why pay an insurance premium on their equipment? Think to yourself, how much do I use sky relative to the other steaming devices? Dreadful company, I feel sorry for their staff. you may start out relatively calm but by the time you have managed to get through their phone wall you are a furious raving lunatic. I actually had to trick the phone options to get me as far a human contact, the options just keep sending you down rabbit holes that end up telling you to go to their website. The human unfortunately who was just someone in a call center and hadn't a clue. Eventually when I asked about cancelling everything, hey presto, I was transferred to a staff member in my own country. The Q box is a major disappointment and continually freezes and buffers, I have changed internet provider and upgraded my Wi-Fi but to no avail. I am not surprised Dodgey Box companies are doing so well when the mainstream are so ridiculously expensive and have such horrible customer service, vile company.
absolutely disgusting, fitter said he didnt have tools to drill thru wall to install cable, so i would need to get a builder or do myself and then packed up and left and said i would need to reschedule visit, i am an 88yr old man... so i had to climb a ladder and borrow tools from neighbours to drill my own wall as he was incapable. then on his return he has routed the wire for the broadband through and over items in the garage meaning if i need to move these i cant as the broadband wire prevents this, even though there is space behind them to run the wire. once the cable had been run nothing was checked and the broadband didnt work or was connected to my sky q box. and was even told by sky that they dont even connect your equipment and that is down to the customer. mmmmm 88yr old trying to find out how to connect his new broadband, without broadband.... really sky tc really. and now after seeing my future bills theyve already put the prices up by £3 per month and ive only just signed up - maybe getting cancelled...... what an absolute joke
Never answer e-mails, never read previous e-mails, never listen, send bills that are late fees for a bill we never had in the first place, absolutely useless, are now threatening debt collectors and still they have not looked into our bill. Have cancelled our subscription, and they still keep sending the bill, will take it to court if need be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
