Review Time
Once was an easy process for replacement or refund. Now it is long and drawn out. The latest Walmart.com purchase product failed. It has been two month and still is not resolved. Do not plan to purchase anymore of these inconvenient product protection plans.
I am having a HORRIBLE experience with All State square trade protection plan purchased on a home depot appliance. The red tape to talk to any one takes forever, they keep sending the wrong parts or wrong model number for my dishwasher repair. Its has been TWENTY TWO days since my dishwasher broke and they still have not repaired it. I WILL NEVER purchase a major appliance from Homedepot or you the protection plan again Update 1 : day TWENTY FOUR of my dishwasher being broken. I have since talked to a customer service about my abysmal experience. I was promised a resolution in one business day. It has since been two business days and I’ve heard nothing. I’m not at all surprised due to the lack of urgency and follow through this company continues to demonstrate. Update 2: after a pitiful attempt to fix my dishwasher by sending multiple wrong parts to my house, SquareTrade offered to pay for the cost of the dishwasher. This is unacceptable due to the fact that I will need to now pay for the haul away of the broken dishwasher they left me with as well as the installation fee for the new dishwasher, costs I paid when purchasing brand new dishwasher only 14 months ago. This “solution” shorts me out of over 300 dollars Update 3: one and a half months after my dishwasher broke, I have received my refund and I now need to purchase a new dishwasher. Updated star rating from 1 to 3.
It took over 3 weeks, then you kept the computer and reimbursed me 30% of the cost of the computer. I've seen the hearings on Allstate ripping people off with assessment for home damage. CEO making 26 million dollars? Allstate Protection Plan is no longer a selling point.I read the reply from SquareTrade. The only reason I did the original review was I sent 3 emails to rate the experience, even before the experience was resolved. I'm not discussing this issue with a customer service rep who has a prepared script. The warranty was not worth anything. I should not have sent in the computer it cost me money to get a new one. I'm sure the underwriting for the "repair" is written in favor of Allstate. If Allstate or SquareTrade wants a better review it's not coming from me talking to a customer service rep after the fact. It's them not nickle and diming me to start with. All these corporations squeezing what they can from people and then want to act like they provide quality service designed for customer satisfaction. Again the Squaretrade Allstate warranty is not a selling point.
Web site user friendliness is appalling. 1990's level user experience. I have 3 phones and a plan that covers 4 phones but have to hunt EVERY SINGLE TIME I go on the site to associate my phones IMEI number....Why not allow for nick naming a phone so it is easier to look up?! Calling for customer service is also convoluted and deliberately difficult. The only thing square trade has going is that it is inexpensive. I guess you get what you pay for.
