Read the negative reviews here very carefully. This is not a reputable company. They are not regulated and their ‘contract’ is not worth the paper it’s written on and designed to try and have you waive all your consumer rights. This company poses as We Fix 24 ltd - the real We Fix is a very reputable and cheaper service with transparent pricing and engineers who carry ID. Don’t be fooled by this impostor company. We had a serious boiler issue and had to get someone out quickly, that meant we didn’t research properly. While awaiting the engineer we found the real trustpilot page, not the 4.6 they claim on their sham website. They tried to tie us to a contract over email of 60 pound call out fee and 240 per hour, plus VAT. I ended up paying the call out fee (72 inlcusive of VAT) via bank transfer to get the engineer to leave. I have a one year old son so escalation wasn’t really an option. I will try and get the money back but as they wouldn’t allow a credit or debit payment, only bank transfer, it’s unlikely. Absurd obviously. Adds to the scam, which I knew when paying but you’ve essentially got someone in your house with a toolkit refusing to leave…
Horrible and rude plumber who asked us for £500 for ‘dehumidification’ which even wasn’t needed. He threatened us and said our house will ‘fall down’ and that we wasted his time as a ‘professional’. Luckily our home insurance company provided reassurance and proper advice, we paid £82 for a horrible service.
I had to cancel an engineer before they got to me and a very angry lady on the phone said well you will need to pay cancellation fee so I said yes I understand send me the invoice. Proceeds to send me a bill which was more than the original call put charge she quoted. After asking her to see her terms and conditions on the website about cancellations she totally ignored me .so this only tells me that this company is not legit won't recommend them at all wish I seen these reviews before I called them
Needed an emergency plumber as there was water leaking from our light fixture so not sure where it was coming from. After the plumber arrived, the company sent me a email listing charges, although I was told over the phone that it was £75 call-out. The phone number I called was local but plumber came quite a distant. Anyway full charges are around £300 per hour so I decided not to go with them. Instead paid £90 just for the call-out. Will have to find a reasonable plumber in the morning.
We had an emergency plumbing issue and needed a sink resealing ASAP due to having a disabled child. Sheffield Council (our landlord) wanted us to wait 24 hours, which we weren't prepared to do! We found SWIFT online, who called us back immediately and sent a plumber round within the hour. We were then given a quote before the job began. The plumber, Raji, was very professional and friendly, explained all the work required, and gave us a 'fixed price' as we were worried about cost. Work was completed promptly, the invoice was exactly as quoted, and an emergency problem was resolved - all within three hours! Swiftly done!
Dishonest, not professional and con company. Who don't know to fix anything. Just opened company husband and wife, took home phone. And answering call from home. No office nothing. Sending some random guys charging a lot sending invoices and and not fixing any issues. Total scam. Avoid and take legal action against this company like I did. Manager name is Alex.(fake name) Doesn't have any idea about anything. Charged us 670£ for boiler and couldn't even fix it.
These people are criminals. Charged me 966 pounds to unclog a kitchen drain. They say swift plumbers on website and the we fix it (similar name to a more reliable company) to fool general public. Then they get a random subcontracting plumber from somewhere and charge a bombshell. You can’t despute and they won’t leave until you pay. Unless every plumber and plumbing company in UK is dead DONT USE THEM.
Companies like this should be stopped from trading as they play on the desperation of the public who, by the nature of an emergency callout make themselves vulnerable to what is a company whose whole trading ethos would appear to be that of deceit and exploitation. We needed to find a plumber for a blocked basin in our bathroom which was explained clearly over the phone to the woman at Swift Plumber - but despite this - I was told there would be an initial callout charge but that the engineer would need to look at the work and give us a quote on site.She also advised the plumber would cover our local area and would be with us within the hour but on his arrival, which was over 2 hours after my call, we found he had travelled over 45 miles from East Sussex. Despite being told the plumber would quote when on site, he immediately asked me to give our email address and advised the company would have to quote before he could start. I received an email within minutes which to my astonishment gave a rate for the first hour of £249.00 plus VAT, with the the hourly rate of £219.00 plus VAT thereafter. Needless to say I called Swift Plumber back immediately to question this and was met with a very aggressive tone with the woman advising if we didn’t want to have the work carried out, we could let the plumber go but we would have to pay the call out charge regardless. I complained bitterly about the extreme cost of what should be very simple job and was told the minimum charge per hour would be £219.00 per hour plus VAT, despite her refusal to quote an hourly rate at the time of booking. The only reason I can see for this practice is to have both the customer and plumber put on the spot and ultimately either suffer the problem or pay the blackmail fee for the work.We felt extremely sorry for the plumber who had said he was called away from his home on the basis of being told we had a large job to clear some drains which would be worth his while but left with nothing, as we were unwilling to submit to Swift Plumber’s blackmail tactics.Do not use this company as we believe they are using vulnerable people to undertake the work and desperate customers who, if they cannot wait, are extorted from their money.
Aggressive and unhelpful. Charged nearly five hundred pounds to look at a boiler and not fix it. Refused to start until an email contract was signed and refused to leave the flat until the bill was paid on the spot, intimidating our tenants. Do not use.
