I’m so happy with my birdie sofa., it’s comfortable and superb quality.The whole ordering process was smooth and on schedule. Warren was very helpful and I felt I got exactly the sofa I wanted. A rare business nowadays that does what it says on the tin, and want to provide a quality product and service.
We went to see Warren at SW James and immediately knew we were in good hands. Warren was friendly and willing to spend lots of time with us looking at different options for our room. We decided on a Huxley after loving how comfortable it was (not what we expected from a chesterfield). We took delivery of our Huxley a few weeks ago and it looks perfect in our newly decorated lounge. The detail and workmanship on the sofa is amazing and have just ordered a matching footstool to go with it.
From looking online for a premium manufacturer of leather sofas I came across this company SW James.My Wife and myself were not prepared to spend quite a large amount of money before being able to sit on one of the sofas being sold, so through the website which is easy to negotiate I made an appointment to view the sofas with Warren, it was was very easy he is quite charming and very knowledgeable about his product.We arranged a visit and were not disappointed, we knew already what we wanted, we sat on it in the charming little showroom, decided we wanted it and from then on it was plain sailing.Warren keeps you informed of the process of making the sofas (sorry we did buy 2) The delivery was faultless. The communication from Warren is faultless.On the delivery day I was telephoned by Warren to check on delivery and ensured that we were customers for life, really can't ask for more than that.For information we ordered 2 SPIKE 3 SEATER SOFASand a CHUM FOOTSTOOL all in vintage HONEY LEATHER.
We drove 300 miles to visit their showroom, where we were warmly welcomed by Warren and given plenty of time to look at furniture and to discuss our requirements. Luckily it was worth the drive! We were given lots of useful and impressive information about the company and everything was explained to us. Each sofa and chair is made by hand and customers are kept informed along the way. Unlike so many companies, S W James has the personal touch and goes the extra mile for its customers. We are very pleased with our Huxley sofa and matching stool but even more delighted with our bespoke “Corinne” chesterfield, made to our design. Highly recommended.
We went to the general generic well known stores but could not find anything of quality that we liked and good service was lacking. We came across S W James by an internet search and thought maybe it would be a bit of a gamble as they were such a long way from where we live but thought we would give it a try. Our worries went immediately after our first telephone conversation - they were so helpful and knowledgeable and could even make us a bespoke piece. They kept us informed every step of the way and we are now truly delighted with our new furniture.
What a great traditional company Warren and his team bend over backwards to help and give first class service iorderd 2 huxley leather sofas they really are top quality the leather is the best quality iv ever had iv always had leather chesterfields but the quality of hese huxley are by far the best quality and workmanship if ever I do buy another it would definitely be with sw james I def recommend them 5☆all the way
Having decided we wanted a chesterfield-style sofa, and ideally one hand made by a small company in the UK, we’d talked a bit about it and done a bit of unfocused googling. My Facebook algorithm must have picked up on this, because it duly presented me with a promoted ad for S.W. James. Usually I’d have ignored it, but the pictures looked exactly like we wanted, so against my better judgement I had a look at the website. We were spoiled for choice and the prices were lower than I expected, but still not trusting a Facebook ad we decided that a visit to the showroom would probably be in order. Unfortunately, it isn’t exactly local to us, and being constantly busy we just couldn’t find time to make the journey. After much deliberation we decided to chance it and order a large two seat Archie unseen, and what a good decision it turned out to be! After choosing our leather from samples sent through the post, things quickly started to happen. The order process and communication was excellent as we were regularly kept up to date with progress on our sofa.Then, nine weeks after the initial order, we received news that our sofa was ready and would arrive the following week. The delivery drivers were great, and we all breathed a sigh of relief when Archie squeezed through the door without a millimetre to spare.When unwrapped and seen for the first time, the sofa exceeded all our expectations. It fits perfectly into the space created for it, is wonderfully comfortable and of course looks beautiful. However, this immediately gave us a problem. Archie looks so good in his new home that he puts our other furniture to shame, so following another quick measure up we decided that we wanted a “snuggler”-sized sofa to go with him. A quick look on the website revealed that there isn’t a snugger Archie in the range, but the following morning I rang Warren who told me that they could make one no problem at all. Money changed hands again, and with a minimum of effort our second order was made and we are now looking forward to the arrival of a little brother for Archie in plenty of time for Christmas. So I’m conclusion, the website, order process, communication, delivery, price and of course the sofa itself were all superb. Would recommend.
I had been looking at Leather Chesterfield sofas for a while but couldn't find what I was looking for. I decided to go direct to the manufacturer and noticed SW James, I called them, I had a conversation with Warren, told him what I wanted and he sent me a brochure and various samples of beautiful Leather. I chose one design but was worried it wouldn't fit in my rather small lounge, this wasn't a problem to Warren he made the sofa on a smaller scale for me. I had weekly updates through the build process and when the final delivery arrived I was over the moon, my sofa is gorgeous!! Unlike anything I had seen before !! The quality of the Leather and build is exceptionally good. I can't thank Warren and his team of craftsmen enough !! I never set foot on the premises but I new from the many conversations and reviews I was doing the right thing, the sofas are not cheap, but who want cheap when quality shines through
We purchased a Monty 2 seater Chesterfield and 2 matching chairs in green leather. The build quality and finished product is of the highest standard possible and we are all extremely delighted with it including our two cockapoos. Not only are these chairs extremely comfortable they also look very classy in our new Orangery. S.W. James and Warren kept us continually updated with the progress during manufacture and the entire experience with S.W. James was first class throughout. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending other people to S.W. James as their professionalism and customer care is second to none. Big thank you Warren, happy to be a member of the S.W. We did a lot of research before choosing SW James - and we are so glad that we chose them ! Communication was first class from order placement until delivery and the Chesterfield we decided on ( Monty ) is a beautiful example of great craftmanship - we could not be happier with our purchase.
