I ordered some Tee shirts but they sent the wrong colour (their mistake). I had to pay the delivery costs to return them. There was no refund so I opted to get another one in a different colour. The problem with Taobao is the goods are often fake and you have little protection if the goods are wrong or if you want to return them.
I sent a friend to buy from Taobau shop in , Varese, Italy, an item. The quality was very bad, so I had to Return it. I tried to find an equivalent item, but could not get any. I asked them if I can return the item, and get rienbursed; they said they do not give back money for returned items, as per shop policy but that they give me a cupon instead, and informed me that I can come with the cupon "any time" when I want to buy from them again, and present the cupon instead of payments for the purchase amount. But in the cupon they wrote an expiry date, a month only, which they did not inform me of. Today, I went with a friend and they said that I can NOT use the cupon because it was not valid. This means they charged me, without me having bought anything! In short they charged me with no exchange of any goods/items. Have you ever heard that your money expires? That you pay for "zero" items??? I understand, if they give me a cupon as a gift for my purchases, that it can have an expiry date, but that a cupon instead of my non-rienbursed money expires in only one month, this is something I have never heard of, only with taobao could happen. This is called "a pure and true" THEFT!!! Be careful If you are planning to buy from them and read their policies very well, if not written ask them and have it in written format because these people are unpredictable and capable of anything. And if I was you I would think a million times before buying, especially that their items are above market price. Share the post and save customers, against opportunistic shops that will exploit clients at any cost.
The worst online purchase ever, follow up with seller since 2 months ago, keep telling me to check with my country warehouse, how the hell I know how to contact them, can’t even get a contact numbers despite numerous attempt to contact Taobao customers service. First time I have come to this experience, never happen in other online purchase, bad bad bad..
Here's how it works in Taobao for international buyers.. You pay for the merchandise first, and later the shipping fee. I've paid for my jacket and waited a month, but it was stuck in a warehouse somewhere in China for whatever reason and because of this there was no option to pay for shipping fee. Taobao later falsely claimed that I signed my merchandise already when it is clearly still in China!!I want refund but was refused with the reason being that I signed the delivery package already.. What a load of rubbish!! They are a bunch of scammer. BE WARNED.
Not really suitable for international buyers!Many good products and trusted shops, and the Chinese language can be translated, but the biggest issue would be the cost of shipping. Not cheap at all!Taobao anyhow was created by Alibaba to target buyers from that region. Aliexpress on the hand is for international shoppers.Thank you
I registered the taobao in 2008, and I used to spend over 2,000 CNY(exclude 3% service fee) every month in tabao . With more than 10 years experience, I can feel the user experience has significant drop in recent few years.1. The number of good stores has decreased in these few years. They cannot competed with the scam stores.2. Recommend system is bad, a lot of advertisments inside but they never differential them.3. Overseas shipment system is terrible. By air and shipping are only differential by some random code, if seller didn't specify it clearly in the delivery, they will automatically put it through shipping. It will be more expensive and much much slower. And you can't change it, even though you choose by air through the system. 4. your personal information will be sold to some scammers. I receive scam msg everytime after I start the shipment.5. NO reporting system. I witnessed the time they remove the report feature in taobao APP. And now I even cannot find email address to report my issue. So this is the strategy, remove the problems from the people who raise it. In conclusion, I don't recommend any New Customer to use this platform. DON'T TRY, YOU WILL REGRET!
The only contact seems machine xiao mi which can’t understand much . Taobao is protecting their platform seller rather than buyer , buyer must have the knowledge to retrieve where is our items , if the items missing , buyer is the one to contact transport company , this is ridiculous, we are not train to do this job , and I don’t think we are the one to do it , I paid without receiving my items , not trustable. And if your mandarin not good enough , pls forget about them .
