Been traveling with them for multiple years now with the night jet. When things don't go as planned, they always provide great phone customer service. They always try to work with you and even go out of their way to help you when they don't have to.
If you’re aiming to reach your destination promptly, I strongly advise against using ÖBB. During my journey, ÖBB unexpectedly canceled the train midway, leaving me to navigate an alternative route to my destination independently. Despite reaching out to ÖBB about this unfortunate experience, I never received a response. Overall, it was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing encounter. I recommend avoiding this carrier altogether. 🚆👎

THE WORST TRAIN IN EUROPE! Very old trains from 80s, expensive tickets, power sockets not working, NO WI-FI!!! RUDE STAFF, LAZY! LIGHTS NOT WORKING, HAIR FROM OTHER PEOPLE ON THE BED, SHEETS ARE DIRTY!!! AVOID THIS TRAIN SERVICE IF POSSIBLE!!! Obb shouldnt offer this service because its embarasing for Austria!!!

Our train from Munich to Bolzano on March 8 was cancelled due to a baggage handlers strike in Munich . It was difficult to get a reply regarding the refund process but finally got through one month later on april 10 and my refund was approved on April 16. It is now Jun 18 and I have still not received the refund. Their excuse my refund is still being processed, their overloaded with work because of route closures, strikes and storms. I'm pretty sure they have no intention of refunding me. I cannot recommend travelling with this train company and will not do so in the future. We were able to rebook our journey from Munich to Bolzano with Flixbus which was just as fast as the train and much more comfortable seats.

We paid hundreds of dollars for my family of 6 to ride the OBB trains. We were on a scheduled train that made a connection to another train. The train ran late and it was physically impossible to make the connection as the train we were supposed to get on had already left when our train arrived. We had to jump on a different carriers train and pay separately for that. When I reached out to OBB, their response was, because it was only 5 minutes late, they couldn't give me a refund. 5 minutes late caused me to miss my other train... nothing I can do about it. This is fraud, theft, and morally unacceptable.
