There was no sleeper car that I booked for a trip from Kranj to Zürich. The train was more than an hour late. When returning from Zürich the train was rerouted through Germany, where it just stopped for a few hours, resulting in the train being more than 5 hours late, due to which I missed my job. After all this I contacted their support via webform as the telephone was never picked up, and 14 days later still received no response.
As mentioned by others, OBB oversells first class tickets meaning I sat on my suitcase near the door for 4 hours. Staff just shrugged & threw their hands in air. Regardless of buying first class and and even if you actually reserve a seat (a ridiculous separate process), despite the website stating first class seats “come with seat reservations”, it’s basically every person for themselves when trying to grab a seat. And to make matters worse, 48 hours notice of border closing due to strike so no opportunity to return into Germany.Find a different way to travel from Berlin to Vienna!

Traveled first class from Munich to Vienna. Car had no air circulating so it was quite warm and uncomfortable. Asked about it but as usual in Europe AC is a challenge and nothing improved. The seats are also kind of hard. My commuter train from Connecticut to New York City has better seats and air is always circulating even on cool days. Food and drink service though was very good (our steward Chan Ping was outstanding) and the prices reasonable. But do something about the air. In a country where they like to keep their homes filled with fresh air, I'm surprised people put up with this...

These people are thieves. I mistakenly booked a ticket in the wrong direction (from Berlin to Vienna when I wanted to go from Vienna to Berlin). I immediately called the vendor, Trainline, who advised me to seek a refund from OBB within 24 hours. I did that. OBB, in a series of emails, told me that my type of ticket could not be refunded unless cancelled within 3 minutes of booking. I provided evidence that I indeed phoned Trainline within 3 minutes of booking. They refused to consider this, apparently because I would have needed to use the link for cancellation within 3 minutes, and this link, which would have appeared on the OBB confirmation, did not appear on the Trainline confirmation. The 3-minute rule is inhuman, and their interpretation of it is even worse.
