It is the first time I booked a flight through TUI and it’s very strange that no flight info and ticket are received via email after making the booking. I had to look for an app in English (since there is one for each language, but would just be more convenient to have one only and allow the language change) and then I was able to see a few details about the booking. Overall, the modalities of operating this way make me nervous about the upcoming flight.
"terms and conditions" wouldn't let you cancel a flight despite a ridiculous change of direct flights to hours long layovers, landings at midnight, etc. Total waste of money as we are flying with a baby. Never ever happened to me with an airbooking before. They advertise great times and fares to attract people and then change the flights. Exact same thing happened to other friends using them, I only understood this after they **** me. NEVER again!
Little to no communication regarding delayed flights, checked in late due to TUI delays, TUI rated hotel 4 star, but 1 star would be more accurate. TUI transfer from hotel to airport was dangerous due to driver on cellphone. Driver jumped a red light then almost hit the kerb. Return flight delayed 4 hours.
Horrible customer service from TUI, beware of their “free exchange period” guarantees. Through their own non availability of customer service for 5 days, we missed our chance to change our holidays due to a medical emergency with a family member. Had to cough up 2K cancellation charges, and TUI showed no signs of apologies or regrets for having their own customer service not available. Never again!!!

It was very hard to translate everything, which is especially worrying when you are spending so much money, I don't understand why a lot of .nl websites can't offer multiple languages on their websites and apps, otherwise it was ok, it was a bit annoying that saved dates and search filters etc kept getting reset and we had to add them many times while comparing options, it seemed to reset every time we tried to see a price.
From beginning to the end, TUI treated us like garbage.The initial flight was delayed for over 6 hours, and all they gave us was a 5 euro coupon. No compensation, not even a glass of water in the flight. With or without delay they won't offer anything unless you pay for it. The returning flight was also delayed by over 2 hours.The only thing that worked out for us was the transfer between airport and hotel. Even there we saw some issues, like passengers missing or picking up the wrong people.The TUI excursion was sponsored by a scam business; a jewelry store, where they had people chasing us to buy 8000eur jewelry that probably cost less than 500eur.The notifications about the delays, flight status, always came last minute. We were kept in the dark throughout our entire trip. This is definitely an issue when you're travelling out of the EU.And last but definitely not least, TUI flight was the first airline I've ever seen that had no announcements at all in English. All communication between us and TUI was also done in Dutch.
