Frustration from start to finish

I had so much trouble booking through their website. Error messages all the time. Then I had to cancel my booking and did this online before the deadline. It didn't register. Then I spent 1 hour calling their customer service from abroad, wasting good money on trying to get a hold of someone. After putting me on hold for about 10 or 15 minutes, the customer serivice agent agreed to cancel the booking free of charge and promised the money would be back in my account in 2 weeks. They didn't tell me I had to fill in my bank account information in order to get the refund. I had to call again 3 weeks later to finally get it sorted. Lots of confusion, frustration and time spent on managing bookings on tui.nl.Update: We have now come home from our "vacation". It certainly didn't feel much like one. It started with getting on the plane and asking when our hot meal would arrive. They said there had been an error on the website, where we had chosen our meals, and actually no meal would be served on the flight. They only serve meals on "long distance flights" (This flight was 8 hours including a stopover in another city). I was 7 months pregnant, we had two small children and no food prepared. We had to survive on ramen noodles that we could purchase, plus the pringles and candy we had brought with us. No compensation was offered.When we finally arrived late at night, we were hungry, tired and I felt unwell and dizzy. Still we waited 40 minutes for a shared bus to take us to our hotel, because two other passengers had not showed up. Seriously, send a cab for them. Don't make the whole bus wait. We finally got to our hotel, and it was very far from the 5 star experience advertised. Poor customer service, cold pools, bad food. There is supposed to be a TUI rep available for questions at the hotel during certain hours, but he was often AWOL. No one could give us a straight answer for why we needed covid tests for the return flight, only that we did.All in all a stressful experience from beginning to end. Not much of a vacation at all.

Impossible to contact

Impossible to contact. I mean absolutely impossible as a lot of other people on here have also experienced. I am still waiting for a refund from a March 2020 flight that was canceled. Really get the feeling that this company knows it’s going under so is just putting every effort into getting money in but zero effort into customer service.

extra extra costs for comfort or deluxe

Wanted to book a trip to the other site of the world.Check discussed and wanted to book. Found out that the costs for comfort and deluxe were badly increased by 20%. Comfort was more expensive as an alternative flight was not available anymore.We all suffered from COVID; TUI do not charge all the problem over the back of your travelers

FRAUDULENT TOURISM AGENCY

A company that doesn't have the slightiest amount of respect for its clients. I thought this tourism agency is professional because it is one of the most popular agencies here in Netherlands. They changed everyone's opinion with their dirty behaviour during the hardest times. Now I associate this company more with some scamers or thiefs that don't care at all about their clients.I never expected in my life such a big disappointment from a agency that I put my trust in by giving them my money.Their fraudulent actions shoud have consequences. I gave them my last money because I didn't expected the lockdown and everything that followed. I had to fight for my money for 9 months. Every time when I call they tell me lies. It can't take 1 year to send people's money back. Imagine how would it be if you give your money to a bank with all the trust that you have and then, the bank will refuse to give YOUR money back , just because they can't afford it. Or because they have some financial problems. But yeah this scenario is far from reality with a bank because I used to work for a bank and our purpose everyday was to make our clients happy, no matter what problems we faced. This agency deserves the worst. I am sure that they're gonna lose most of their clients because of the way they treated us and let us down. i hope people will stop supporting that worthles agency and will continue with the reviews that they deserve At least that's what powerless people can do to shut this company down.

I have tried to get my money back with…

I have tried to get my money back with the assistance of a lawyer. Tui declined a refund because of the corona situation. After that i transmitted the communication between me and TUI to my German VISA provider. They have started a charge back successfully after 4 months. Thanks to my provider and never ever Tui again!!!

A semi-criminal company

Because of only 24 Euros they make a big story out of this. A bunch of not so smart people (you know what I mean). They only send the half of my refund (48 Euros) and the behave like monkeys. After many months they want talk. Talk about what? There is no question open and they have all the needed datas. I hope corona will bring this to an end. I decided neuer to book a vacation here. You lost a customer, because of 24 Euros.

They don't want to give me refund

I have a book reservation for greece that will happen in 8 days and I was very poorly attended and guided by the TUI team. I will never recommend this company to fly because it is a total disregard for the consumer.I will not have the time to have the result in hands because I dont live in Netherlands so I would arrive one day before the flight to greece the company does not give me a refund, voucher or change the date for a simple solution. The company said only that the flight will take off regardless of the people

File claims and start dispute resolution via europa

If you are struggling to get your refund and they offer you only a voucher it's illegal !!!they breach the European regulation with the tolerance of their trade administration and ministry. FILE A COMPLAINT TO YOUR LOCAL ECC NET and start a dispute resolution via your banks or ODR. ALSO PUSH THE ILT via email (national enforcement body of Netherlands) to press TUI.NL to comply with the European regulations which they breach ! And file complaints to the European commission.

Not trustworthy!

I had booked a flight from Amsterdam to Bonaire, CN which I was not able to take. I informed TUI about it in advance and cancelled it. I also reassured that I would get the money back I had already paid for taxes and extra luggage and the woman onthe phone told me I would get it back no problem.I asked Tui 4 times for the money back I have paid on taxes and an additional luggage piece and never even received an answer. I had also booked a flight with Eurowings on the same day and I received the money back immediately.
