AVOID Mercedes Vans Exeter

Well I thought I bought a nice van from Mercedes Vans Exeter, nothing could be further from the truth. I strongly advise you DO NOT buy any vehicle from here.Let me list the issues I’ve had with my van. Van was only one year old on purchase. Please consider I have still only driven less than 3000 miles since purchase….Tailgate is off centre (much more than accepted tolerance that I was told)Faulty overhead control panel needed replacing (was sold van with this faulty)Driven side wing mirror plastic part had fallen off and fixed by Mercedes Cushion needed fixing on passenger side (was sold van with this fault)Rubber seal needed replacing on tailgate (was sold van with this fault)Faulty sensors developed (seemed to be most drivers side) supposedly fixed but seems the problem has surfaced againBrakes squeaky from purchase, when looked at by Mercedes garage brakes defined as requiring URGENT ATTENTION. Made to sign a disclaimer to drive van home without them being replaced. Only 2000 miles driven from purchase UNBELIEVABLE Two faulty locks, which have now been replaced by Mercedes Exeter Camera does not retract at rear. Have been waiting for months to find out what’s going on, they have tried to replace but failed. Twice I’ve asked and they never get back to meFaulty sensors again have resurfaced today Brakes now squeaking againHorrendous experience with Mercedes throughout, I once thought Mercedes was a reputable company, how wrong was I.

Merceds smartphone integration Con

Merceds smartphone integration ConRecently was thinking of buying airplay for my GLC.luckily i did not, as the car was written off by insurance.Airplay stays with the car not the buyer.so would have been a total waste of money.sort out this nonsense,, either supply it with the vehicle, or lock it to the buyer.

Merc Weybridge #CouldntBeLessHelpful

So my year old c class was sat unused for 2 hours and when I went to start it there was a horrendous noise coming from the back of the car. I’m 2 hours from home so I thought going to a Mercedes dealer was a good idea. So I’m sitting in the car park of Mercedes World, a huge Mercedes place, waiting for recovery having been told by the dealership that they could not do anything and to call for recovery. So I’ve been sitting in my car for 2.5 hours now and to add insult to injury all I can see are Mercedes signs all over the huge building. The mercedes dealer could not have been any less helpful if they tried !!! #AppallingService

Appalling complaints handling.

I contacted Mercedes UK over a month ago regarding an issue with my car that makes it unsafe to drive (Mercedes dealer classified it as 'unsafe to drive'). The car has remained at the dealership ever since. A complaints case number was raised but every time I contact Mercedes UK to find out what is happening I am told someone is dealing with it and they will contact me. Nobody as yet from Mercedes has ever contacted me. Every time I phone they say they cannot forward my call, they cannot provide the details of who is managing the complaint and they have no escalation process to allow me to speak to anybody else. The Mercedes web site proudly states 'We aim to resolve all complains within 5 working days', this is clearly not what they achieve. My biggest issue it that they seem to have a corporate policy to provide anonymity for their staff so that nobody need take any ownership of problems. All in all - absolutely appalling complaints handling!

Mercedes Benz Arnold Clark Inverness - lack of customer care.

Mercedes Benz - Arnold Clark - Inverness Fed up and really not happy with the lack of communication and no reply to my emails and telephone call back requests. It’s very sad to see such a reputable company like Mercedes Benz being dragged down by what I can only describe as very poor customer care. I have had multiple issues with engine management light showing on my dash and I was recommended by customer service that next time the light shows it’s recommended to change the turbo uplift exhaust sensor and to phone and/or email to arrange a car replacement. I’ve also had to return the car because the dash board said remove excess oil ..,. But investigation showed that the car had been overfilled by 3/4 ltrs.I have to now ask for my car to be valeted.I sometimes get offered a tea/coffee on arrival which is always nice after a commute from Elgin to Inverness. I sent 3 emails last week requesting that my car is fixed with no reply so I have gone higher to Arnold Clark customer service complaints and I still have not had a reply. I phoned to request a callback after leaving my name and VRN and I still have not had a return call. Tried calling customer service again this morning and the phone just rings out ……awful customer service. I’m in 2 minds to cancel all my service plans and go to a Mercedes Benz only dealer with no “ Arnold Shark” experience attached . If Mercedes Benz of Germany learned of this I’m sure action will be taken. (My German wife has email chain ready to send to MB HQ) Nearly 5 weeks have passed since last check and a week later the management light reappeared on dash. Arnold Clark - please sort out this matter with swiftness as you are dragging down the Quality care that Mercedes Benz have worked so hard to achieve over all these years.

£2000+ Light letting in water after 3.5 years

I have a 3.5 year old E350 cabriolet. The left light has let in water which has in turn blown the light control box and this is £2700. If the light is worth that much money then it shouldn’t let water in after 3.5 years.
