I bought 2 cars from the Swanley branch about 10 weeks ago. I had no clue what I was going to get so when I went there I spoke to one of the sales team and he helped me with the advice he gave me. When we went to pick the cars up it was done smoothly. I would just like to say a big thank you for helping me find the cars that I bought and helping with the teething problems after.
Review of Service at WJ KING SEAT BROMLEY for SEAT Arona – Oil Change IssueLast week on Tuesday, I took my SEAT Arona to this local dealer for an oil change. I collected the vehicle on Wednesday and parked it at my residence until Sunday. Upon driving the car on Sunday, I immediately noticed an unusual noise coming from the engine. Concerned, I pulled over to inspect the vehicle and discovered that it was leaking oil from under the engine.At that moment, I was with my wife and 3-year-old daughter, which made the situation even more alarming. This careless oversight by the mechanic not only compromised the condition of my car but also put my family’s safety at risk. When I removed the oil cap above the engine I could see inside the aluminium foil from the oil bottle, THAT SHOULD NOT be in there, another negligence from the mechanic.I contacted SEAT immediately and spoke with Jasmine Farron, who handled the issue professionally. Within two hours, a recovery vehicle was sent, and my car was taken back to the service center for repairs. While I appreciate the prompt action taken by Jasmine, the fact remains that this incident should never have happened in the first place. After the repair was done they drive my car back to my address adding miles to my vehicle and using my fuel, that was wrong , is not my fault for the mechanic mistake.I expect any professional mechanic to conduct basic checks after servicing a vehicle to ensure no issues are left unresolved. This mechanic’s failure to properly secure the oil change could have led to much more serious consequences. I urge others to be cautious when choosing this service center, as such negligence is unacceptable.
* body shop the Brent *I had my car bodge repaired elsewhere locally ( total of 14 faults found by an independent assessor ) it went back there three times and was still shocking. If fact they damaged the underside of the car so it was worse than when it went in. I then took it to WJ King the Brent for rectification and I have to say it’s now 10/10 to the point I was planning on selling the car but now I think I'm going to keep hold of it for a while longer. The guys there are great and really went above and beyond putting it all right and gave it a full valet to the point it’s now like a new car.
Can not thank Spencer and Terry enough for this easy and pleasant transaction. Welcomed with Tea/Coffee and chocolates, what more can i say!! Nothing was too much trouble for them. Car was valeted and ready for my collection when arranged. I'm sure i will keep this car for many years to come as just what I was looking for. These lovely guys are a credit to your company.
As someone not particularly clued up on cars, I thought I should pay a bit more and go to an authorised dealer for peace of mind. WJ King in Welling had a 2021 car I liked the look of so I went there, test drove the car and decided to buy it. On the test drive the salesman noticed that the odometer was set to KM rather than miles. He changed this setting, but when I checked the MOT status of the vehicle I noticed that it had registered the KM reading and could potentially cause serious issues later on down the line. I informed the dealership and they amended the MOT. A week later I was meant to pick it up but was unable to as the Tax documents weren’t correct due to the car previously being Motability. This should have sparked warning bells, but I persevered, took the next Monday morning off work and picked it up then.After a week driving the car I noticed that there were multiple random scratches on the windscreen, a tear in the driver’s seat and a couple of strange marks on driver and rear passenger doors. I tired to get in touch with the dealership and this proved to be a complete nightmare. After trying various routes, I eventually heard back from them and they said that they would be able to rectify my issues and would be in touch. A week after this I received a letter from the DVLA informing me that they would not accept the VC5 (logbook) that WJ King had sent over as it was a copy and, as such, the car wasn’t registered to me. Again, I tried to get in touch and eventually a week later they got back to me informing me that they would sort it out and I could bring the car in to get repaired a few days later.I took the car in and left it with them. When I picked it up I was told that the windscreen scratches could not be removed and it was probably due to previous dodgy wipers. The tear in the seat had been covered over, but was clearly a repair - not a lot different to putting a bit of gaffer tape over it! I was also informed that the marks on the driver and passenger doors were leftover from a previous repair but had polished out. I was not been made aware that any damage had occurred to the car.These are all relatively minor/cosmetic issues - apart from the windscreen which will probably cost me around £700 to replace - but I do feel that I should have been able to get a better service and level of trust from an authorised dealer than I have. As I said in the title - BUYER BEWARE!
We have just brought a car from Russell at wj king dartford- used car branch. He has been friendly, helpful and approachable thought out the whole process-unlike a typical sales man - in a good way! He is a massive credit to your company and the dartford branch. We will definitely return to him in the future as we will hopefully be wanting another car once my daughter passes her test and has the car to herself! We will also be happy to recommend friends/family etc to go to Russell if/when they are looking for cars.
Shout out to Rob Cross for being efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. On the Sunday we saw the car we wanted to buy and within a few days Rob sorted the handover with no fuss. He has been a pleasure to deal with and he clearly enjoys what he does. thank you! :)
Can’t praise the Rochester branch enough. Melissa my sales rep was amazing. She found the perfect car for my son as his first car. Right from selecting to us picking the car up everything ran like clockwork. No pressure or pushiness. Melissa is an asset to WJ King and definitely knows what she is selling. She went the extra mile and set up our service plan too, also an after sales follow-up call which from my past experience form other dealerships, doesn’t happen. Keep it up Melissa.
