just blame the customer ... what a great strategy

i best start at the beginning ...so i got a Vauxhall Mokka from Kings in Rochester who had me install an app on my phone which informed me of a software update I HAD TO FLASH TO THE CAR .. what is this the 90's?i'm an IT tech so i grabbed a USB stick and flashed the files the Vauxhall app downloaded and prepared to the stick .. an HOUR or so later it was up and running...after a few weeks it started re-starting and eventually crashed completely .. first i was told the garage, the VAUXHALL garage COULDN'T fix it and i had to re-download the update and flash again... well the software doesn't allow that functionality so i contacted vauxhall for help who told me the garage was ready to fix it but when i got there i was gain told it couldn't be fixed and I had flashed corrupted file which is an uneducated LIE on their part.now they want me to pay for the repair when it is clearly a warranty issue.the car is going back to the leasing company and Kings can deal with them.will never look at Vauxhall or WJ Kings again for anything.keep receipts, screenshots and record what they say or you will get blamed.

I have purchased several cars from WG…

I have purchased several cars from WG King in the past, the last one was from the Swanley branch for my wife. Terry the salesman was most helpful and we have been very happy with the vehicle but today we visited the salesroom with the view of replacing her car.unfortunately car prices are no longer displayed and my phone refused to read the bar code,in the end we walked away in frustration.please go back to showing the car price,all the other information about the vehicle is showing so why the hell not the price.???

Great customer service at WJ King Bromley

We recently bought a Cupra Terramar, through a finance deal, from WJ King Bromley. It was a great experience, the showrooms are clean and airy. Our salesperson, Sandro, was fantastic - friendly, polite, knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions thoroughly and made the whole process go smoothly. I would highly recommend them.

Fractured Sump

My partner has a Suzuki Ignis LW17LZP, it was purchased from new and serviced by WJ KING to date.Yesterday I dropped the vehicle into Bromley for it's annual service, under the ongoing service plan, shortly afterwards i received a call from the service department saying the sump has fractured whilst removing the sump bolt, I'll be expected to pay for a new sump and the labour involved.Be advised in all my years of dealing with garages i've never experienced a similar problem, I own all from new a 1983 Mini Sprite, 1985 Ford XR2 and 2012 Smart Brabus For Two, all of which have their original sumps! I have two close friends who own mot and repair garages both for over 30 years. They both agree an incident of this nature is extremely rare, likely to be caused by the overtightening and heavy handed removal of the sump boltBe advised after the 2024 service the Suzuki was left with greasy finger prints on the steering wheel, gear lever, handbrake, engine compartment and oil spillage around the filler cap!I suggest it was this technician who overtightened the sump bolt!This was reported when I collected the car in 2024 and again when I dropped it off yesterdayThe service department called me earlier saying the order placed yesterday for the sump has not been filled completely, hopefully the outstanding parts will arrive tomorrow. It seems there is no way of contacting the supplier to ascertain what stock is available? Be advised this is not the 1st time i've had this car damaged by WJ KING, in 2018 the alloy wheels suffered scratching during it's annual serviceSee Truspilot review 2018.Summing up I'm extremely disappointed with WJ KING.I've emailed the general manager Richard Etheridge .Currently waiting for a response Edit 8th August 25 update. After email exchanges with Richard Etheridge, a new sump was supplied and fitted, car service as per the plan, coolant change All charges waived, Richard Etheridge conclusion the sump had been damaged during use.I've will not be using WJ KING again.

I had an issue with electrics on a SEAT…

I had an issue with electrics on a SEAT Arona that was a manufacturing defect, that SEAT didn’t cover in it’s warranty. It cost a three figure some to resolve, so I complained to both SEAT & the garage. I spoke to Graham & Richard both were very helpful and we met to discuss a refund even though SEAT don’t assist the garage with any financial help. Both listened to my case , which is what I wanted and a partial refund was agreed.Whilst I won’t buy a SEAT again until they sort electrical faults out on their warranties, I will use WJ King again if I need too.

Changed the wrong sensor!

WJ King in Sidcup changed the wrong wheel speed sensor on my Seat Alhambra, after specifically telling them that it was the offside rear wheel going over a pothole which caused the dash lights to come on. £180 diagnostics charge + £150 to actually do the work. Surprise, surprise the lights came back on. Now I’m told that it’s 2 month wait because Sidcup now has no technicians & Bromley is picking up all the work. Really- a service company with no technicians???? So took it to Halfords who charged £180 total to replace the correct sensor & they were able to order the part & complete the job in 2 days. WJ King need to train their staff in basics, such as being able to distinguish offside & nearside

Excellent Customer Service

Dartford BranchI can’t thank Will and Alison enough for the excellent customer service they provided while my vehicle was being repaired. My experience with my insurance company was less than good. Alison kept me up to date with what was happening and sorted things out when things had gone wrong (thanks to my insurers).Will made sure my vehicle now looks as good as new.They were friendly, approachable and made me feel like a valued customer. Astra Hybrid Ultimate purchase in March 2025

All was going well in March 2025. Going to purchase a 23 plate Yellow Astra hybrid Ultimate from WJ King Welling. Walk around video sent Wade seemed good at the time so Paid a deposit as I was 4 hours away from the dealership. Went down to view the car not told they only take you around the block on a Saturday due to insurance stipulation not happy, no fuel in the car the electric side of the hybrid system didn’t work also the paint work looked like it had been washed with a Brillo pad so Dale Skinner got involved and promised to get the electric side sorted and detail the car to remove the swirl marks then send me a video within a few days to show everything was working on the car so I left the dealership with my deposit still on the car as Dale had promised to get it sorted. Well he did not get in touch or send a video and I realised at this point this deal was going nowhere, customer services got involved as Wade and Dale we’re not returning calls or emails at this point, customer services at WJ King are just as useless as their sales staff needless to say still waiting for my deposit to be returned 2 months on I have had to get my credit card company involved which I should not have had to do and they are still not accepting my calls or replying to emails. Think carefully if you deal with this company and if your travelling a distance on a weekend be prepared to just test drive the car around the block.
