Visited WJ King Farningham to look at purchasing a car. Use the garage all the time for petrol and servicing of my existing vehicle. Met Sales Manager Louise Cobern who couldn't have been more helpful. After discussing and understanding my needs she found me an automatic Vauxhall Astra which was only 2 years old. This was last Wednesday and the car was ready for me and I collected it 2 days later on the Friday. Thank you Louise for your exceptional service and I would recommend WJ Kings to everyone
Very disappointed! This was a new experience for me using WJ King Seat Sidcup , I purchased my car from there on 28th March 2024 and Ashley being the salesman. However after getting home I realised there was no puncture repair kit or owners manual book being that the car was only three years old . After contacting Ashley on numerous occasions he hasn’t once had the courtesy to return my calls even though he sends messages through the reception to say he will call back later that day but to date never has ! I was actually going to use this garage for my mots and services but unfortunately after this awful experience I will never use WJ King for service or purchase of a vehicle again !! Absolutely Shocking experience indeed.
I have been Sidcup Kia multiple times the first time wasn’t too bad, they did manage to fix a couple of issues, though they didn’t fix the main issue (clutch Judder), I thought I would give them another chance but after the 5th time bringing my car here they still cannot fix the problem I first bought my car in for as they said they cannot find the fault (clutch judder) which is a common problem with my model, seems like they just turn a blind eye or can’t be bothered to check properly, so I thought maybe if I had my service done and spent some money they might help fix the problem, big mistake, they had my car for 3 days just to do a simple service (oil change and filters) and told me again they cannot find the fault, I was also told over the phone prior to the service that my fuel filter needs to be replaced but it was not done, At one point they had my car for over 2 weeks to change a seat pad, I kept getting told the part will be here in a few days but after 2 weeks they called me and told me to come and collect the car and the seat pad still had not been changed and nothing was done about the clutch judder even though they had it for 2 Weeks, Plus they parked my car under a tree and probably didn’t touch it for the whole 2 weeks and I had to go get it washed because it was extremely dirty. Also I’m pretty sure they put a small dent in my door when they had it for 2 weeks, I was also told once that the clutch judder has been fixed but that was a lie, I’m pretty sure my car needs a new clutch, I drive it everyday and notice the judder everyday, I did tell them they need to let it run for while so the engine gets hot because it happens more when engine is hot but it just seems like they drive it for 2 mins and say there’s nothing wrong with it, I have also told them it happens at low speed between at about 1500 to 2000 rpm and also is worse going up a hill going at low speed always on gear 1 but seems like they don’t have time or they are just lazy. My car is still in warranty it’s not like they are losing anything out of there own pocket, they just need to do the job that they are paid to do properly, but just seems like they are disinterested and cannot be bothered to help, they just want you gone ASAP. I mean what’s the point of having a 7 year warranty when no one wants to help you when you have problems with things that are covered under warranty. The worst experience that I have ever had at a garage. Never will I return to Sidcup again, might try my luck as a last resort with another branch and see if I get treated the same. This is the last chance and the last time I will try and get this issue fixed before I give up and sell my car and never buy another Kia. I have already put 1 star reviews on Google and trust pilot because I’m so disgusted by the way I have been treated and have written a separate email to Kia complaints in Milton Keynes.
I took my vauxhall Meriva 1.4 turbo auto to w.j. King Bromley with a problem of blowing blue smoke,bearing in mind it is a 2015 model with 37368 on the clock with some service history,when later that day I returned to pick up my car I saw the service reception who handed me a report of the findings, it read carried out investigation into vehicle blowing blue smoke.unable to confirm customers complaint(not surprising as the car did not go on a road test), on inspection found oil going to the throttle housing, suspect internal engine damage causing issues? Advised vehicle beyond economical repair😱. I am utterly shocked how it can be classed as a write off when they did not find the problem did not even take it for a drive what a completely inept garage, and to add insult to injury this cost me £144.00, no explanation, they did not call the mechanic(fitter) to explain his findings just handed me the report and asked how would I like to pay. DREADFUL DREADFUL SERVICE. Incidentally I took the car to an INDEPENDENT vauxhall garage who isolated the problem found why it was blowing blue smoke and fixed that problem and a few others that they found, ALL FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE, so not a write off wjking idi0ts.
Beware when using this place for car servicing and defiantly reconsider giving your personal details. I used the Woolwich branch and 1) They are happy to take your money and tell you what you already know but they don’t tell you exactly what is wrong. 2) Since taking my car in for the most pointless inspection ever, I’ve been bombarded with telephone call, emails and text messages from them, ranging from car sales to begging for feedback during my visit. If they spent less money on admin spamming customers maybe they could afford mechanics who could provide a better diagnostic! Avoid at all costs.
Bought my car a year ago from WJ King Sidcup, the actual sale experience was very good and I was impressed with the levels of customer care. The service and Mot was coming up I wanted to use WJ King as they had offered me a great experience before. However, when I arrived this morning there seemed to be an issue with the date. The guy at the service desk said we had it booked for 29.4.24 instead of today 29.5.24 clearly an error via one of the admin staff which is fair enough mistakes happen but why weren’t we chased as that would come up as a no show. The reason for my review is due to the appalling manner of the person who was behind the desk at the service part of the garage. Very condescending and disrespectful towards me and my father at one point he told my father to stop acting like a child when he just had a simple query. The experience and appalling nature of this means I won’t be using WJ King ever again for any servicing and I will refuse to buy a car from there ever again.
Having bought a car from the Dartford branch, I made my way there by train to pick it up for my partner on 23rd May. Surprisingly, the car wouldn’t start, so credit where it is due, a full refund was given. The following day Lee (not sure of spelling) called me: they agreed to refund my travel costs, and I agreed to take the car when the fault was diagnosed and rectified, provided they delivered it. It was a Bank holiday weekend so understandably the car wouldn’t go into the workshop until the following Tuesday. On said Tuesday Guy called me to advise that they could not guarantee rectification for anything up to four weeks. My partner could not be without a car for that long so we left that I would start looking again, but that if they resolved the issue he would call me to see if I still wanted that particular vehicle. Guy also committed to get back to me the next day in respect of the refund for my train costs (almost £100). No call came, either to advise the car was repaired or to process my travel costs. Having found another vehicle I called yesterday and spoke with Lee about my outstanding refund. A huge amount of back-pedalling, quotes like ‘I’m just a salesman and it’s up to Guy and the manager’ but when pressed Lee promised to pass this over.Still no call from either of them so in short, I spent almost £100 in travel costs to pick up a vehicle that I couldn’t drive home, and a ‘reputable’ dealership feels that this is acceptable, and that it’s ok to back out of a promised refund. Things happen, cars develop faults, c’est la vie! It’s how things are handled, or in this case mishandled, that drives reputation though!
I have leased a car for many years but they were starting to get far to expensive to pay monthly for. I went to WJ kings in Swanley and found a lovely vauxhall with really low miles I can see myself keeping this car for a long time. The staff were very polite, they asked if I would like a nice cup of tea so made me feel at home.
