I am disabled

I am disabled, i have been using zipcar for the last few months as my vehicle is off road. Up and till around 16th December my Zipcar experience was pretty good. The morning oft the 16th during a telephone conversation with Customer Services, without provocation or discussion they decided to suspend my account, and that i will be getting an email to explain next steps. Its been 10 days, and no email, I have rang numerous times to escalate complaint, still no response. I am reliant on a car, using uber during this period has meant excessive costs, one that i couldnt afford

My experience with zip car was worst

My experience with zip car was worst. It was terrible idea to drive through zip car. I was out of fuel and not a single gas station was accepting the card which was provided by them and when we called them they have lame excuses and are stupid people making no sense . Overall very bad idea didn’t even get my compensation.

WARNING, UNRELIABLE, NOT WORTH IT

More and more unreliable as time goes on. Honestly at this stage it's not worth using zip car. I hired a van a week in advance, they changed my pick up location twice in that week. I went to the 3rd new pick up location on my day (30 min walk) and the van wasn't there. Called zip who told me that the car was a good 2 hours away. I lost £1200 because of this yet was rewarded 1 hour free (£15).

My membership application is not passed, and I didn't use their sevices at all. They still charge me membership fee and it's not refundable. Stay away from this scam company.

SCAMMERS. Do not give Zipcar business, they look for any reason to add extra fees and charges. The customer service is horrendous, and they continually have system errors and faults. Honestly save your time and money, use Enterprise or literally an other service because this will end up costing you more then its worth. Absolute scammers.

Zipcar left me stranded

Zipcar finished my trip remotely without my knowledge because of a misunderstanding with the customer service agent about adding extra credits Zipcar offered earlier in the day to extend my existing trip and locked me out of the vehicle. My car was trashed with spills, stains, and pet hair all over with Maintenance Required sign flashing on the dashboard as I drove which said that the tire balance needed to be adjusted - first of all, how is that even allowed? The agent on the phone who heard my concerns offered extra credit and I didnt accept on the spot but said I would contact back if I need it later in the day. I returned from a store that I stopped by few mins to find out I couldn't enter the car anymore. After nearly 30mins of holding, I got through someone who transferred to someone who also transferred me another person just to tell me a retrieval process has begun and I need to find a different transportation to get home. I insisted on taking the vehicle as they informed me that they would not be refunding me for the trouble and additional cost. They didnt budge and I came home. Two days later, they charged for 3hr late fee and a tow fee because they said there was "nothing" wrong with the vehicle. I will be contacting to take photos of the Maintenance Required sign along with copies of the phone recordings from this day and will fight my final bill with the small claims court which is an absurdly whopping $300+. Absolutely garbage, do not do business with them. Customer service agents are worthless and have no idea what they are doing.

This company deserves less than zero…

This company deserves less than zero stars. My husband's personal and financial information got compromised and was used without permission to create an account with this company. Once we found out, we contacted their customer service to cancel it. Boy, it was a hassle... The thief used a different phone number and email (which my husband does not have access to), but also used my husband's name, driver's license, and other personal information. My husband called ZIPCAR to cancel the account, and it was such bad customer service (from overseas, of course) that I am afraid he will still have problems with it. A fraud report was filed with the FTC, his bank was contacted, and fraud alerts were placed prior to the call.It was so hard for them to simply cancel the freaking account! I am not happy about it because my husband is having a hard time trying to get things straightened up, and then you get a company that does not really care about who is signing up for their services or their "customers". They mentioned that the account was canceled (after waiting on the line forever), but would be unable to provide any confirmation of the cancellation because the email on file was not his. Hopefully this will be the last we will have to deal with this place, and I hope to never, and I mean NEVER do business with his company...

Avoid - let down at 11th hour with no alternatives.

I signed up to Zipcar for a van to help with a flat move in London. The night before - with 4 hours notice - I got an email telling me that the booking was cancelled and that there were no alternatives available. Talk about hollow service! As a result I had to use Hertz who were more expensive, but their reliability was appreciated. When I reached out to Zipcar customer services all I have had back was radio silence. In sum: an utterly rubbish product with shamefully lame customer services. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.

Terribel Customer Service

Terribel Customer Service. They did Not help at All after an accident, we had. The zipcar employee did Not Show up like He told us and we did Not got our stuff back out of the car, they were Not helpful at all. A friend had her Keys in the car and had to sleep somewhere Else and the compensation was a joke. Never again and can not recommend.
