What once was possibly the best little telco in NZ has had a massive fall from grace. When it works, it's amazing. If stuff goes wrong, expect hours on hold, cut off calls, misinformation. After spending more than a month trying to resolve an issue with family share, they've finally admitted they've "retired" the plan (but charged for it). Thanks Alvin, the least caring Customer Care representative - I'm done.
Our journey with 2 degrees. Signed up for 2 mobiles at Rotorua branch. $10 discount for Goldcard. Within days plan cost was increased by $10, some discount.Looking at changing Broadband Fibre provider. Checked a comparison website which obviously passed the info onto 2 Degrees. Called by a lady called Ruby and told her ring me back at the end of Febuary. Started calling me again in January sometimes 2/3 times a day. Told her in one call I was in hospital having my pacemaker checked, not a good time. Terminated the call, she rang back within 5 minutes.Its like talking to a parrot,mouths the English words but obviously doesn't understand them. All she has acheived is to ensure I will never purchase a Broadband plan from them and when I have the time I will look at changing phone providers as well.
This has turned into a truly awful company. I’ve paid my bill ( as I always do) and now they have restricted my service because they say I haven’t paid. I sent them proof from my bank account - they ignored it. An hour on the phone to their ‘ service ‘ dept got me nowhere. I heard their CE on the radio talking about competition in NZ which he clearly knows nothing about. Start paying attention your customers and you might get it. As for their ‘ Fighting for Fair ‘ slogan - don’t make me laugh.
2degrees has provided me with the most frustrating and unacceptable service imaginable. I subscribed to a $35 monthly plan, and for the first two months, the charges were accurate. However, after that, they began deducting random amounts ranging from $38.38 to $57.77. On one occasion, they even deducted $37.88 on the 12th and $42.12 on the 31st of the same month, which I am now carefully tracking. To make matters worse, they suspended my services without any warning for five days, leaving me to wrongly assume that my phone was the issue. When I called to inquire, I was told that I hadn't paid, yet my bank statements clearly show otherwise. Fed up with the constant hassle, I decided to cancel my plan and retrieve all the carryover data, calls, and texts that I had already paid for. I don't care what your internal policies may be—they seem unjust under consumer protection laws. 2degrees has stolen from me. I have spent a significant amount of hard-earned money on plans that I barely used, only to have it taken away in the end. I demand either my carryover data restored or a refund for the money owed to me.
I needed a new phone so visited 2 degrees in Nelson. Chrishan assisted me to select the Samsung model I wanted and then patiently gave me all the info on plans and my new phone. He transferred everything over from my old phone to the new one. He told me how to claim my free ear buds.The Nelson store has always been good but Chrishan went over and above my expectations. A very happy experience and I love my new phone.
I wish I could give 0 100% negative starsThese people were paid fortnightly by me direct debit and guess what? I'm in Credit on my account and get to work to discover my phone has been cut off, by them because I have gone over my data by a dollar and I'm over $90. In credit? Worst experiences with them 2024I have being experiencing the worst experience trying to get away from them. When I finally paid my last bill from them which I know was false. Guess what? To my horror they have sent me a new bill of $1. ?I would love to broadcast to the world to stay away from 2 degrees
