Staff of Jakob W, Denzel, and Reginald worked as a team to correct a collapsing wall with anchor system. They were professional and communicative thru the process. They worked well as a team and went the extra mile to make certain I was satisfied with their work.
My wife and I recently purchased a number of items that we decided to have built for us since we had been putting together pieces ourselves since we moved 6 weeks ago and were looking forward to the help. Well, we were scheduled to have a Alexis R come out on Thursday. When Thursday came, we were rescheduled for Saturday. The email said they couldn't find a professional to come out, which was a lie, because Alexis R already accepted the assignment. So, Saturday arrives and 30 minutes before the schedule time that Jeant G is supposed to arrive, I receive an email to reschedule for Monday. This time I called frustrated, and was lied to directly this time. I explained that I was missing family functions today because their service is failing to deliver and I was told there was nothing they could do. I will not be using Angi.com (or their affiliates) to book people anymore. CAVEAT EMPTOR! You're better off reaching out to a local handyman service yourself. It'll cost less and will save you the headache of dealing with Angi.com!
I hired Angi to install a new home stero setupReceiverSmart TV6 Disk CdPhonoDVD player And power speakers I set up an appointment for Wednesday 15th October at 400pm. Waited all day to receive (NOT A PHONE CALL)but a text message at 200pm that afternoon telling me that the person can't show up until that Friday at 900am. The man showed up bragging about building computers and working in electronics for 20 years. Well it got off to a shaky start when he asked me about the phonograph, how to hook up the belt drive.Long story he Jerry rigged the phonograph through the dvd player to the TV only.I was told that he could not get the reciever,cd player, nor the speakers to work at all. However he did offer to come back and hook up things privately and not through Angi.Paid $570.00 for nothing.I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST NIGHTMARE
Angi referred me to Renewal by Andersen Windows. I left a message about them 10 days ago, and I still haven't received a response. I have problems with my windows, and Renewal by Andersen wants me to pay for service . I need help from Angi to get my windows fixed. Why doesn't Angi want to help?
I was looking for a contractor to rebuild a porch on my house. I received 3-4 emails/texts requesting info/pics. I responded with pictures of current porch and pictures of the new porch we wanted, which is a simpler from current. Did not receive any responses except for one who did come and look, etc. He told me was on a job but would be available in 6 weeks or less. Have not heard anything from him. If he called right now I wouldn’t hire him. A professional would keep me informed.Angi’s list is a total waste of time and appears to be a waste of my and your time! STAY AWAY!
Paradise Concrete did a beautiful job on my new driveway and walkway. Joe got it scheduled quickly and the work was completed in a few days as promised. All his workers are friendly. Would definitely recommend this company. Joe went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied with the final look of the driveway.
Contractors, prior to engaging with Angi, you need to know that when you pay for ads your potential customer will then be offered an additional eight or 10 companies from which to choose. Moreover, over the course of the next week, your potential customer will receive text messages and emails from Angi proper advertising your competition. This is vital information that is not disclosed to you. It would behoove you to understand how their algorithms work and how your company is chosen, and advertised, and how your competition is advertised simultaneously. For example, when a consumer logs onto Angie and requests services and your company is advertised as one of three from which to choose, the next page to which your potential customer is directed advertises several additional companies. Moreover, that potential customer will then get inundated over the next couple of days with several texts and emails advertising even more competition.Additionally, from a consumer perspective, this can be very confusing because contractors work hard to maintain a stellar reputation and a good standing with Angi. Therefore, when you as a consumer are offered additional companies from which to choose, you, do not know if these companies have met the same criteria of Angi’s merit-based system. For example, the additional advertised companies had far less reviews. This can be confusing, and detrimental, to you the consumer.
I purchased a ceiling fan with installation online from Lowe's. They farmed out the install to Angi and I just assumed a real person was assigned to perform the job. (WRONG) My install date was scheduled as Thursday 9 October from 1100 to 2pm. On that day at 1130 I get a text from Angi that I was rescheduled to 14 October, 1100 to 2pm. No explanation!October 14 rolls around and at 1:45 pm, no one showed yet so i talked to Angi on their live chat and was told the installers name, telephone number and that he was on the way. Chat ended and I called the telephone number but the call "was not accepted" because they did not recognize my phone number! I waited to 3pm and called Angi. I was told the job was not "accepted" by anyone and realistically I had a 20% chance of it being completed today but they said they had until 7pm for someone to accept the job! I waited to 4pm and called Lowes. Lowes called Angi and told me Angi said the job was scheduled for 2 to 5pm! (now I've been told 3 different install times for today) Anyway it would be another reschedule! I decided to just cancel the install as I saw no realistic way to get someone via Angi to take the job and come install my ceiling fan anytime this century! Of course, Lowe's is refunding me the $$ I prepaid for the install, ..........via snail mail! -I lost time sitting around waiting and clearing the area for the install-Angi provided no support only mis-information-Lowes installation provided by Angi is a gamble since there's not a pro assigned to your job instead its put up for grabs and, as in my case, no one accepts it, the customer is simply rescheduled until someone accepts the job! No guarantee it ever will, since its at the whim of the pros. Not a good way to provide installation service.
If I could rate a negative I would! Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The contractor never showed up and when I contacted chat and I said heck, the person said that they did not appreciate me cursing at them?? Are those who respond even from this country. The second time I chatted I was told I had to contact bed bath and beyond, where I bought the item, bed bath and beyond said angi closed and they could not help me. Third time I contacted angi, they said my money was returned,it was not. They also said, I did not order from bed bath and beyond I ordered through wayfair and the manner in which they stated was rude. I think I know where I ordered my furniture. If you order something on line through a company I advise find someone yourself, it will also end up being cheaper. You also won't have to hunt your money down when a contractor doesn't show up!!!
Jen2 Excavating is an exceptional company in multiple ways. Yes, Marcus Garcia and his Jen2 team are prompt, polite, hardworking, from start to finish and estimate and price the work accurately and fairly. There is more to the story. We attempted to contact seven Pueblo and Pueblo West Companies to clear the tall grass, weeds, and brush that was rapidly overtaking our desert landscaped property. We sent them all a brief standardized description of the work and the land areas involved. Jen2 alone, responded immediately, came out the same day to estimate the work, and a week later our acre size yard was restored and cleared, and we were delighted with the work done. The other service companies contacted either failed to respond altogether or sent prefabricated emails and text messages within the time it took Jen2 to finish the work. Here’s why. Big excavation companies have no interest in clearing tall grass, weeds, and bushes. At the other end of the spectrum, lawncare, weed and tree spray service companies, don’t either. The only bonded and insured company we found who is willing to fill this huge hole in this market is Jen2.So, start by contacting Jen2 if you have tall grass, weeds, and brush removal job, and avoid the pathetic response, if any, of all the disinterested big excavators and formulaic lawn care companies.
