No show for snow plowing service

I contracted for snow plowing for the upcoming winter season with a company listed on the platform. I paid their fee via credit card. They plowed twice but have not shown up for subsequent snowfalls. Now they are not answering their phone. It was challenging to contact the platform and find someone who could assist in obtaining a refund.

They promised clients

They promised clients in the advertisement, but I spent $250 and didn't get a single lead. I'm trying to get in touch with them, I created a new account to solve the problem, but they don't even complete the registration process. I don't recommend them.

The pros never actually show up

The pros never actually show up. Multiple cancellations at the last minute, many times with no communication. Waste of money.

Website has no customer service

I only tried to get a contractor once from Angie. He called and immediately suggested we work off-Angie because they take too big of a cut. I was not super comfortable with this. But he never showed on the appointed day anyway - which I was actually glad of. But my real complaint is that they have been recurring billing ever since (2 yrs ago) and there is no way to turn it off in the MY ACCOUNT section. Look on their website and you not see a HELP link. It took me three layers of operators to finally (hopefully) cancel my account. Their lack of customer service is a pain at best - possibly illegal in the state of NY. Reported to BBB (check BBB to see 100s of complaints) and Consumer Financial Agency. UPDATE 1/6/2026 : After having cancelled my account with them on the phone as above - they pinged my credit card again on Jan 2, 2026. Just spoke with them (a bot) and they don't see the transaction on their end at all. This place is a black hole.

It seems it is hit or miss with "Angi"

It seems it is hit or miss with "Angi". I got a quick response for junk removal, but when I try to get a drywall repair it isn't so easy. I live near Yuma AZ and all the recommendations I got were from the Phoenix area. That's 150 miles away. I'm sure they'll give me a quote but the bill for travel will most likely be more than the work. Limit the list to businesses at least in the same county, or 25-50 miles.

I used atom builders out of Glendale

I used atom builders out of Glendale. The salesman was pushing. The quote they were trying to give me was 36k. Then they said they could do it for 27k because. They were going to use labor and dump from other job. But they still charged me $6750 for tear off and disposal. I went on roofing to see what would cost for my roof it said between 12k and 32k for a shingle roof. The I had to change my ply wood because I have 3/8 and I needed half inch. So that was another 21k or they said the permit might not pass. So my total bill was 50655. There work suck for how much they charge. They did not even paint that is shown in open weather. They did not clean up all there trash. You call them out on it they say I will get someone out there. Three days later nothing I clean up for them my self. I am still waiting for copy of permit. It should of been done in 1 week took almost 3 weeks. They complain about other companies. But they are no better. I had to keep telling them why u using staples if you said. That the other person used staples and they said that is wrong. I had them remove solar to get roof replaced they kept saying we will be here at this time and don't show up. This job should of cost 32k for everything but they over charged. I had 6 people lined up for quotes but they kept saying how great they are. I will never use them or tell anyone about them

⭐ 1 Star

⭐ 1 Star – Deceptive Trade Practices, Fraudulent Leads, and Refusal to RemedyAngi Pro engages in deceptive and predatory billing practices that place an unfair financial burden on contractors. I was charged over $260 per lead, and one of the alleged “verified” customer leads I received was an 8-year-old child. This fact alone demonstrates a complete and obvious failure in basic customer verification and quality control.Of the four total leads provided, I was unable to make contact with a single legitimate adult customer, despite making multiple documented attempts. When I formally disputed the charges, I was informed that I was ineligible for a credit solely due to “non-contact.” In other words, I was financially penalized for Angi Pro’s failure to deliver valid, reachable, or legitimate consumer leads.Requiring contractors to pay hundreds of dollars per lead without any guarantee of authenticity, accuracy, or human contact constitutes unfair business practices and misrepresentation of services. Angi Pro markets these leads as qualified and legitimate, yet offers no meaningful consumer protection or contractor remedies when their own system fails. This business model transfers all financial risk to the contractor while shielding the company from accountability, which is both unethical and arguably unlawful. Their dispute process is ineffective, their customer support is dismissive, and their refusal to issue credits reflects a system intentionally designed to extract revenue without delivering value.I strongly urge contractors and small business owners to avoid Angi Pro entirely. Participation in this platform exposes professionals to financial exploitation, deceptive billing, and zero consumer protection.A formal complaint will be filed regarding these practices.

Three cancellations... all no shows... and now Angi is giving us trouble with a refund

We ordered tv installation with Walmart when we bought our TV. The installation required us to contact and set up an installation time with Angi.I cannot begin to describe how terrible the service has been. Three times, a time was set up to install the TV and each time Angi canceled 1-3 hours before the appointed time, after we had arranged our schedules to be home. Each time a new date was sent to us by Angi.and each time no one showed. We are in our 60's and will now have to install the TV ourselves. Now, I'm in the process of trying to get my money refunded for the installation or lack of installation. Have had a "chat" and received 2 emails (all within minutes of each other), stating the money will be refunded onto our card, or... no, they can't refund the money, so we have to submit a form and it will be sent to us as a check in 3-5 weeks... or do we want credit for future service? Future service? Not a chance. No way will we EVER use Angi. No one in the two emails or the chat could get their stories straight. Each gave a different answer. When I called someone at Angi, she read a script. Didn't address the issue. This company doesn't follow through on getting workmen to do the job they were paid by Walmart to do for us. And now, they are giving us trouble about refunding us the money. It's been a long time since I've disliked service this much. Please do not use Angi. The frustration isn't worth it. Besides, you might, like us, have them take your money and provide no service at all!

Great company "Balteza Property…

Great company "Balteza Property Services" to work with. Very impressed by their quality, momentum and high degree of professionalism. They were given a project to remodel the basic tub to rain shower model. They were very responsible in their entire process of remodeling. At the end a through clean up and hauling out the debris and amount of dust was done.Highly recommend this company for any remodeling project.
