I have 20+ Eddie Bauer shirts in my closet, all good quality shirts I love. I bought a few recently to update my color selection. They got returned the same day. The quality was garbage, utter trash. Thin and worthless. Not half the quality they used to be. Discount stores sell better shirts now. Do not buy from them, they do not care about customers or making anything of quality any more. Sad, because they were the best shirts made at one point.
Shopping online was easy and goods arrived within a week. I had ordered a medium and large sweatshirt so needed to return what didn’t fit. Went to store in garden state plaza and return was easy. I stopped to look at 50% off rack and found more to shop. Quality seems good - haven’t washed yet. Softest sweatshirts . I don’t understand the negative reviews here but my experience was fine
Fraudulent company. They advertise a one-year return policy online. If you ordered online and if it's after 60 days, they will not issue you a return shipping label and refuse to accept and refund a return. They tell you that you need to take your return to an Eddie Bauer store. If you then drive the 40 miles or so to a store (they closed most of them by now), the manager will tell you that they don't accept any returns of an online order. They don't even look at your item and just walk away from it. I communicated with the corporate customer service 3 times about it, and they, including the supervisor, say it is up to a store manager if they want to accept any return. Which they of course don't. So why advertise a one-year return policy? Seems clearly fraudulent to me. Also, I used to like their quality, but that went downhill, and the styles seem outdated. So I'll skip Eddie Bauer from now on.
Horrible experience, was looking into one of their vests and wanted to see what order would come to with shipping ect. Somehow accidentally purchased it, tried to cancel right away and couldn’t. Called support and they said I had to wait until item arrived to make a return. Once vest arrived, had to call support to not pay the $10 shipping fee. Once returned, tracking showed it arrived over a week ago but no refund had been processed. I had to contact support directly to get a refund even processed and now it’s going to be an additional 7-10 days to get my refund. It’s crazy, I would have forgotten about my refund and they would have kept the item and my money! It’s only by luck I came across the email and thought to check my banking for the return! Absolutely horrible customer service, would not recommend buying from here whatsoever!
The manager was grumpy and rude. Customer service agent advised me to go the store to get an exchange for a defective/poor quality product. But the manager didn't bother even paying proper attention on the issue. She had overall deminer attitude - which is very insulting. The manager should not be allowed to work in the retail industry with this kind of attitude-no wonder EB stores are closing.The Bennie I brought from EB was expensive and only 3 months old , take a look at poor quality control or overall poor product quality--Very disappointed. The overall product quality went down significantly comparing older products which are even a few years old. But the price went up and their fake discount are not really a discount-pretty much every week they have a 50% sale. I would stay away from this brand and this store location. Will buy Canadian instead .
1 star is too much. I placed an order , they charged my card and over a month later still never received my order. Go online, chat with bots asking all the information they should have because I am logged into my account Go through this many times and finally a live person tells me that they can give me a refund in3 to 5 days.Absolute worst, but customer service no longer exists.
I decided several months ago that I was never going to shop at Eddie Bauer again, I contacted them, explained why and asked them to cease all contact/email.They continued to send me unwanted mail, I continued to complain, this cycle has continued to this day. I have now setup a script to block and delete anything from them.I will not shop from an American company again and I find it very telling that Eddie Bauer have chosen not to reply to any of the reviews left here by people that for the most part have valid complaints against the company.Eddie Bauer are not deserving of our business.
I purchased a fairly expensive Eddie Bauer jacket 7 years ago when they offered a lifetime warranty on this item (actually the reason I bought it). The zipper was always problematic but I didn't seek to get it repaired because the jacket had the warranty. Now that the zipper is broken Eddie Bauer refuses to stand by their warranty because they no longer offer one, completely side stepping the fact that they did at the time I purchased the item and as such should honor it. Eddie Bauer's purchase records do not go back that far nor would they care if they did as they are refusing to honor the contract they entered into when they sold overpriced items under the false promise of a warranty they now shrug any responsibility towards.
They don't even deserve one star!. An order placed on November 28 which was advertised to be shipped within 7 business days arrived over a month late. Due to the delay, item was returned Dec. 29 to Eddie Bauer. March11 they finally issued the refund! For over 2 1/2 months they had the returned product but didn't issue a refund. How many other customers are they keeping money for. Very unethical for a company to "hold" customers money for over two months on a return. I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering from them. Do not order from Eddie Bauer! If others have experience similar concerns, be sure and post so they do not continue to be dishonest.
