Extremely poor quality garments

Extremely poor quality garments, only superseded by worse customer service. Questionable return policy (don't bother), cheaply made clothes from China, rude and belligerent staff, inaccurate sizing. Just don't bother. It's not worth the hassle.

Sadly this once classic staple of the high street with unique clothing with European tailoring has been reduced to cheap quality Chinese and Bangladeshi knock offs since selling out to major French conglomerate. It's no wonder they have not been able to maintain their UK presence. Worst however is their deplorable customer service. A return to their headquarters in Spain, along with original receipt and letter explaining the sizing was wrong, after preceding with an email, was returned to me because the tracking number was not sent to them in advance although returns over the years have been handled expeditiously and without incident. I am now without either a refund or their shoddy merchandise. Having been a longstanding customer both online and in the shops, I will never again purchase anything from them. It is clear to see why they have been closing shops recently. Avoid this chain and don't support their reprehensible service and shoddy sweat shop merchandise. They are nothing more than crooks

Horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service.As a customer in Germany, super bad experience. I didn't get my delivery and they don't want to refund me, postponing constantly saying they are opening an investigation with the shiiping company. Zero customer orientation. NEVER EVER will buy again at this store.

I purchased items from elganso twice and in both opportunities I had issues.In addition to the lack of clarity on the brexit impact over the shipping and custom fees, it is a company that does not care about their service.I live in London and now it’s been more than 7 business days I purchased a product and still haven’t got confirmation the product was shipped to me. No email from elGanso, nada.I called them twice and the employees who are kind people are also SO in inefficient, to the extent that they cannot solve issues. I speak Spanish and even so I can barely communicate with them. I got the point that I am starting to think this is the relaxed Spanish way of working (pls forgive me my Spanish friends).In any case, in summary they sell nice clothes but don’t think they are ready to sell items to the UK.I wish I could advise the management of this company because they are running a terrible business.

TERRIBLE

These company is terrible. Not only was I forced to pay hidden international shipping costs (despite them saying it would ship from England), I was charged VAT TWICE. To top it all off, 3 out of the 4 items of clothing were the wrong size. I cannot even return the clothing since it would cost more to send it back than the clothes cost! They refuse to provide any help at all and are rude in their correspondence (when they can be bothered to even reply). Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM EL GANSO.

You have to pay high hidden delivery charges when buying their clothes in the UK

They advertise their clothing in GBP, say free shipping, but actually it's NOT. Despite saying they deliver in 5 to 7 days, they sent the parcel more than a month later and I only got it delivered 6 weeks after buying. I had to pay some customs charges which at no time where mentioned (a total of 140 GBP charges on top of an order of 350 GBP). When I contacted their customer service they said it's written somewhere that if there are extra charges then the customer pays them. I explained that when you advertise in GBP it therefor means you send the goods from the UK not from the EU and at no time in the process was it mentioned the clothes were sent from Spain. It's proper false advertising, THEY CANNOT SELL TO UK CUSTOMERS or these will face like me an extra costs of almost 40% of the original cost. AVOID unless you're happy to pay that extra.Note: I had to pay VAT with the Custom charges although I had paid already VAT on their website but at least they refunded me this. Still doesn't excuse the rest of the custom charges that I had to take on. And the clothes arrived in broken packages and the blazer doesn't look very new

These are scammers

These are scammers. Purchased an order from the UK, have wasted £500. Parcel has been sent but it’s disappeared. Their customer service is useless, all they do is replying 1 week after you write saying “yes we’ll check near with us”. I’m going to sue them, summoning them to the small claims court.

Still waiting for products from January

I placed two orders in January 2021 - after not hearing anything for a couple of weeks I emailed and was told that there were delays due to Brexit and extra paperwork. I was then asked a couple of weeks after that for my passport number. Then radio silence - nothing from them despite repeated emails. They are still sending out emails claiming to deliver to the UK, but at the moment I don't think they do.Update 6th March - i've been told that the items I ordered have not been sent out because the company still does not have any news about UK orders and offered me the chance to cancel the order for a refund. I've suggested that if they are not able to deliver to the UK at the moment, then perhaps they should stop marketing themselves with free UK delivery and stop accepting new orders.

I've been waiting for my product since…

I've been waiting for my product since February 9th and nothing has to be sent to my London address. I have paid for the product - emailed and phoned them but no response. I would strongly advise against purchasing from this company online at all costs.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, effectively no longer deliver to UK since Brexit and they will try and trick you into paying huge fees to customs rather than being honest. Avoid and do not order from these people.
