Below 0 star Had a flight from Dubai to Newcastle. During the flight I found the human nail inside the food ! It was disgusting and unbelievable to see that big nail and with emirates flight that we always think they’re the best because it’s expensive ! However I contact them to let them know and make things better but seems they don’t care and they just cares about their money once they took they never answer and don’t want to know what’s happened . I always take flights and never have this bad experience I can say the cheapest one is much better now . I wanna attach the photos but not anllowed here to see how big the Nail And I’m sure their food supplier are so disgusting and unhealthy and not clean.
I have never experience an Airline Company adding so many seats into an Aircraft, as a person being 1.82m tall, it is impossible to be seated properly between standard seats, and this is so disappointing since I have read many reviews about the opposite, that Emirates actually had plenty of space between the seats even in economy class. And food was not very good either. Their headphones are terrible, they are quare don't fit at all around your ears, and I cut my finger on the plastic they are made of, it seems like they have been manufactured in a 3D printer by a child. When I read the review that Emirates economy class rankes a 4 it make me wonder how that's possible? So I would recommend Turkish Airlines or Qatar Airline instead
My 14 year old son travelled from Manchester to Dubai a few days ago. His suitcase was somehow labeled under another person’s name at check in and ended up in Kuala Lumpur. Almost a week down the line, the airline has made very little effort to locate the bag. Turns out they were looking for it in Dubai, under my son’s name when we were clearly told at the lost luggage just after landing that the bag was unfortunately headed to Malaysia. Fast forward to yesterday, and after daily calls and urging, the bag was located in Malaysia and the airline then emails me asking who in Malaysia they can hand over my bag to. Insanity!! We are on the UAE, with no ties to Malaysia. My son’s entire life was packed in that suitcase so the child has no clothes to wear, no toiletries, nothing! Words cannot describe how disappointed we are with the service, or rather a complete lack of! It remains to be seen if the suitcase will ever find its way back to us.
Emirates damaged our luggage and personal belongings. Emirates airport staff said to fill in the paperwork and it would all be reimbursed. We did this. Drove him and the next day also updated online with added details and expenses. Over a month later and numerous attempts to contact and we had head nothing. I was advised to make a complaint. So I did through their channel. Well they then contact and yell at us via phone, request all information be provided again and expect us to do a 5 hour round trip on a weekday to have the suitcase assessed. They then say they will not pay for damaged belongings and we should claim travel insurance. Unfortunately as they had taken over two months to get to that point we were unable to claim travel insurance. Emirates then closed the complaint, won't correspond any further and completely ignore us. No apologies for the lies even. All forms of their customer service will not respond. Looking into the way we have been treated I now see this normal behaviour with Emirates. Totally unacceptable to treat customers this way.
On flight from Dubai to Colombo, was supposed to be on the new A350 but a week before the aircraft change to a 777-300ER which have seen better days. Not impressed with the flight entertainment screen didn’t work, leg room was a bit cramped. Flight from Gatwick to Dubai was clean noticed bins for luggage near the window seat on upper next were not cleaned out and the on 28K didn’t even open, disappointing. Wasn’t the experience that was advertised.
We have flown Emirates several times and stopped in Dubai on three different occasions. Thought they were a top flight airlines. Then in the first half of January we traveled from Chicago to Mauritius; transferring in Dubai. On arrival in Mauritius our luggage was missing. At the airport we filed a lost luggage report and were informed we would receive $50.00 per day each for the inconvenience and delay in order to get incidentals we may need. (still have not gotten any money). It took two days and many emails, online complaint filings, phone calls and a 1 hour bus trip each way to the main office in Port Louis Mauritius to finely locate our luggage. It was delivered DAMAGED that evening, two days after we arrived. More interactions with the airport personnel and we were informed buy them the that our luggage would be replaced. We agreed on a value of $143. We needed to provide bank account information on another form and send pictures. This was done within a day or two but ended up taking weeks of filing and refilling because you can't reply to any communication from Emirates that is emailed to you. You must get on the website and file a new form and references your problem #. It all amounted to a strategy of delay and discourage. I think they want you to just give up and then they don't have to pay. It is now mid March and has been two months. Still the $343 that they owe me has not been paid. The reply emails I get suggest I receiver money at the airport, (which I did not) and they have not supplied any signed receipt to justify the claim that they paid the $200. We arrived in the morning and thought the luggage would arrive that evening or the next morning. At this point we will never look at Emirates as a first class airline. They are fine until you have a problem and then you can't contact them without a 24 to 48hr turnaround. The replies is a form response and no easy way to respond. No human contact. My suggestion to you is to avoid Emirates at all cost.
Wish I had read these reviews before my holiday to Thailand! Rude staff , cramped seats. Boneshaker aircraft, Inedible food. I’ve been on much better TUI flights. Terrible customer service when I had a problem. Will find an alternative for future flights
Emirates has lost it's touch, I am a frequent flyer and 10 years back Emirates was one of the best service providers and I have taken many international flights , fast forward to 2025 and Emirates days are gone and it's clearly visible. Keeping aside lack of proper on flight service, bad food, no one responding call sign etc, a crucial part is also how they handle lost and found. if you have lost something in emirates flight, it's gone for good, customer support will simply say they don't have contact to their own lost and found team and all you can do is mail, to which automated mails and ultimate reply is they can not help. I have lost my phone in flight and clearly told them seat number under which it should be there, no one even bothered to check, one liner simple reply we have not received the mobile, then you keep on replying and they will simply say nothing much we can do. Never going to choose Emirates again, if you are international traveler keep away from Emirates.
My dissatisfaction with Emirates is due to the food. Poor choice for vegetarians and very poor timing of service of food on the longest flights. My Partner & I travelled Business Class from Manchester to Auckland (via Dubai) and return. We're vegetarian but our Agent told us that Emirates do not offer a vegetarian option - only Vegan or A La Carte(ALC).. We thought this odd but selected Vegan. We checked this online and could not find an option to select Vegetarian as one usually can with airlines. On the first flight the flight attendant (FA) approached me and, having established my name whispered 'you are vegan' as though describing some infectious disease! As it was I didn't want to eat late at night so I declined the meal after take off. When breakfast was being served the FA was taking orders but passed me by. I asked if she intended to take my order. She said no as I was just getting the vegan option. When I asked what this was she said 'I think rice and vegetables'. This sounded a bit miserable so I opted for a la carte as the continental option was vegetarian. On the second flight I was able to choose vegetarian options from the ALC, just leaving the meat.We changed our preference to ALC for the return leg. There was no option to select vegetarian.Again I didn't want the late night meal after take off. and chose vegetarian for breakfast. However the time of serving breakfast was appalling. Everyone on the flight was surely on New Zealand time. Breakfast was not served until 11am New Zealand time - some 12 hours after the evening meal served after take off. This was ridiculous. I was left very very hungry and I could see that others felt the same. There had been no indication from the Cabin Crew as to when breakfast was to be served and we all thought that it would be in a timely manner. Light bites were available but I didn't want to eat these in case breakfast was imminent. When I asked a FA at 8am when breakfast would be served she said ' a couple of hours'. It was 3 hours before it came.I did not expect to be so thoroughly uncomfortable in Business Class. I have quite a small appetite - goodness knows how anyone who needed to eat more regularly felt. This was appalling service. On our final flight Dubai to Manchester there was no vegetarian option at all on the main course. I therefore opted for two of the third course (as the menu said I could) - namely fruit and cheese and biscuits. The FA asked me to choose one in case both weren't available. I was astonished by this as the menu says specifically that one can choose 2 third courses if the main course doesn't suit. The FA did bring both but acted as though she were doing me a favour.Surely out of three options on the main meal there should be a vegetarian option as many people are now vegetarian?I am extremely disappointed with the service received. I contacted Emirates about this and was told that I should have pre selected my meal online. I had no idea that I could do this. I had looked online to check re the vegetarian options and I certainly did not see it.I was also told that meal times are available online. Again - this is not at all clear. It certainly is not available anywhere obvious. We are very disappointed and will not fly with Emirates again.
Just loved the premium service, excellent food and overall attention that business class has to offer. The space is so good especially after travelling economy all my life. For the first time ever we decided to treat ourselves. The overall experience was really good just spoiled on one point KIDS. Children should not be allowed on business class flights. Having paid for this privilege for myself I didn’t want it ruined by unruly kids.
