The vehicle rented through Keddy, a Europcar subsidiary at Rome Fiumicino airport had multiple dents and scratches in addition to those that were listed on the receiving paperwork. When I asked the representative to come and look at the car he said pretty much that he was too busy and only came when I wrote on the paperwork "multiple dents and scratches etc" on the paperwork and asked him to sign it. More issues with the vehicle were then picked up and entered onto the paperwork before I accepted the car. The return process was easier but only after my partner's hire car (we rented two for the size of our party) claim for additional dents whilst under our hire were successfully rebuffed through the use of date stamped photographs from the day we picked the cars up from the airport.All in all I would not recommend hiring from Europcar / Keddy again and would look elsewhere unless you literally want to be taken for a ride, you have been warned.
Another company making dodgy business based on fine print. Using cars from Klarna but when extend contract than magically change contract to Europcar. So thats how they rip me of for extra mileage for £170. Taking deposit £700 to rip you of the way they want. The only way is a court and expensive lawyers.
Worse company I have ever used. Car didn't turn up at 11am. They left a message saying the deposit payment hadn't gone through at 9am and to call this telephone number (they took the main payment okay) 4 hours later after trying to get through, as the King's X depot wouldn't answer their phones to me. Called customers services they tried calling Kings X and they didn't pick up to them either, then they pretty much told me there was nothing else they could do. Finally after speaking with CS for the umpteenth time they emailed them to call me. Later finally got a call and they said they were busy. No apology, missed time slot by 5hours for a business trip. Wouldn't use them ever again. This is a slimed down version of events. Really really poor company!Oh and managers don't speak on the phone when you ask for one. It's below their pay grade!
Omg Just had an email off these bad car rental people, they sent me a fine from Leicester City Council for driving in a bus lane £35 (Paid). But they want £40 for sending me the email. Stay well away from this company and never rent from these they are the worst company I have ever come across so please please read all the reviews and find a good car rental company not Europcar.
Tried to book a car online but the website wouldn't let me go past the driving licence stage, so called them... person I spoke with could hardly understand me, didn't seem to know what he was doing, spent 40 minutes on the phone, I reckon 30 of that was on hold, had to spell out my name, address and email on every word... finally got to the payment details, he took my card details then was unable to work out their system. Finally I gave up with them
I rented a car to go down to Heathrow June 19th from the Tamworth branch, Great staff, Explained everything , Paid deposit and cost, Dropped car off no problem, Checked my bank account two days later, Deposit back and charges made, All happy.. On my return i used these again as was happy with service,, Boy never again. Booked to return to home town branch at 17.30, I returned said car 90 mins early, And now find my deposit will not be returned for up to ten days, They have taken the £167 charge, But still holding £390 ????, I called main office to be told they will raise issue with out of hours charge,But i have to wait up ten days for deposit to be returned... Never Never will this company get any further buisness from myself or friends or family....
Awful service, I have been trying to contact the Peterborough branch for over 5 days now, every time I am transferred through I wait over 30 minutes then get a message to say no one is available. I have been told over 3 times now I have been added to an emergency call back list, and email has been sent to the branch manager... still not received anything back !!!!!Stay clear.
Booked a Holiday Package with TUI, and the 'free car' package was with Europcar. As the car was not sutible for size of party had to pay over £200 extra to upgrade..not free then. Collected car at Faro and after signing contract went to visit car, it took several minutes to record damage. I returned the car with no extra damage and full tank of fuel. Several days later my card was charged with a vehicle recovery plus charge which apparently was above the normal service offered. This was not mentioned and I did not request. So scammed 68 Euros.Why not explain and I would not have accepted, just a way of getting extra money.
