We recently flew with Air Cairo and were shocked by the condition of the aircraft and the behavior of the crew. The plane was extremely dirty. The toilets in particular were disgusting and felt more like a public train station restroom. One toilet was only partially functional and was being used as a trash room, so it was completely closed. The only usable toilet was filthy, covered in urine, and the toilet seat would not stay up. You literally had to hold the seat up with your hand in order to use it — completely unhygienic and unacceptable. The cabin crew was rude, unfriendly, and seemed interested only in selling food and drinks. The food quality was very poor, and there was no menu or price list available, so passengers had no idea what anything cost. It honestly felt like they were selling their own private food. To make things even worse, at the end of the flight the crew openly argued about the money they had collected — right in front of the toilet and clearly audible to passengers. Extremely unprofessional.Overall, this was a chaotic, unhygienic, and very unpleasant flight. Cleanliness, professionalism, and passenger comfort clearly do not seem to be a priority. We will definitely never fly with this airline again and strongly advise others to avoid it.
This is the absolute worst flight I have ever taken. Who allows smoking on an airplane on 2025? This airline is way behind in every aspect, un-trained crew, plane smelled like a pack of burning cigarettes (my wife has allergies from cigarette smoke, and I asked the crew more than 4 times to please stop the preson who is smoking and theybdid nothing), no safety belts (mine and my wifes were broken, and were not replaced, even after requesting so countless times)..I can go on and on and on... please don't use the air line. I wish I had seen the reviews before hand.
Corruption at Its FinestOnce again – and sadly, not surprisingly – we experienced Air Cairo attempting to charge us (wrongfully, I might add) for extra baggage that was already purchased and paid for.At the check-in counter in Hurghada Airport, your staff suddenly could not see the extra suitcase we had with us, even though we presented a separate document from Sunweb clearly confirming that we had bought and paid for this additional baggage. It’s worth noting that during our departure from Copenhagen, Air Cairo had no issues whatsoever seeing the same extra baggage. But in Hurghada, the exact same “issues” reappear every single time. What makes this even more absurd is that your staff member at the counter revealed himself by saying:“Oh, I see there’s diving equipment… then it will be €101 instead of €90.”In other words: he could clearly see the extra baggage – but we were not allowed to bring it unless we paid again for something already paid for. There are only a few words for this: fraud, corruption, or deliberate deception. This is not a one-off incident. It is a persistent problem with Air Cairo in Egypt, no matter how thoroughly you prepare at home with every piece of documentation possible.
Avoid Air Cairo. My November 25 flight from Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh was delayed over 4 hours. I've been requesting compensation since November 26 (over 2 months ago). Multiple follow-ups. Zero resolution. Just 'Reminder' emails with no action. Their 'customer service' is non-existent.
I had one of the worst experiences ever at this airport. The staff were extremely rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. There was absolutely no flexibility, no courtesy, and no sense of responsibility toward passengers. The way they spoke to people was unacceptable and humiliating. The airline itself is totally unreliable and disorganized — no commitment to schedules, no proper communication, and no respect for travelers. Such behavior should not be tolerated, and this company deserves serious penalties for how it treats people. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this airline and this airport if possible.حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل ،، حرام الشركة دى تبقى موجودة اصلا
Hello, I am writing to you regarding a particularly disrupted return flight from vacation. My wife and I were scheduled to take Air Cairo flight SM2914 from Hurghada to Basel, departing on October 26, 2025, at 12:30 PM (local time). Upon arrival at Hurghada Airport, we were immediately transferred to a hotel while awaiting information from Air Cairo staff. However, we received no information from the airline and had to find it ourselves online. Buses finally picked us up from the Sky Star Hotel at 11:00 PM to take us back to Hurghada Airport. Our flight finally departed at 5:00 AM on Monday, October 27, 2025, resulting in a 16-hour delay.Furthermore, I had reserved specific seats for the return flight (originally 4A and 4B), but we were unable to secure them (see attached image "Seat.jpg").This significant delay forced us to extend our vacation by an unforeseen day.
