Disgusting Experience — Avoid at All Costs!

I booked a flight from Cairo to Sharm El-Sheikh that was supposed to take off at 6:15 PM. First, it was delayed to 8:15 PM — fine, delays happen. But then things got ridiculous.After 8:15 PM, nobody — not staff, not customer service — could say where the plane even was. No clear updates, no communication, nothing. The flight that was supposed to take off at 6:15 finally took off at 11:00 PM!But it gets worse. The original flight time between Cairo and Sharm is around 1 hour. Instead, they merged two flights — one to Sharm El-Sheikh and another to hurdga. So I had to sit through two legs of travel: first to hurdga , then back to Sharm. It turned a short domestic trip into a 2+ hour journey with zero explanation.The customer service was nonexistent, the delay was inexcusable, and the decision to merge flights without proper notice is borderline fraudulent.This isn’t just poor service — it’s a scam. Save yourself the stress, time, and headache. Never flying with them again.

Worst airline on the planet

Worst airline on the planet. Not only was the plane delayed by 1 hour and 30 minutes, for some unknown reason it stopped in Antalya to drop off and pick up passengers like it's a bus or something. The tickets were a direct flight to Cairo, no indication of any stop. We were supposed to arrive in Cairo at 8.40 PM, it is now 9.10 PM and we are in Antalya. I missed my connecting flight because of this.Ridiculous, I would not recommend this airline to my worst enemyEDIT: We arrived in Cairo at 12 AM the next day, 4 hours after our original arrival time. Horrible horrible airline, no proper apologies or compensation for this terrible experience

I read a lot of negative comments regarding air Cairo flights and I was considered at first but my experience was absolutely greatIt was beyond expectations Every thing was perfect Starting from the check inThe choice of the seats The crew staff who were extremely nice No delays at allIt is definitely one of the best airplanes

They scammed me at the gate saying I needed the Visa when I didn't need and charge me $100 when it's $25 you don't you do not expect to be scammed by the front desk but I was at sharm el sheikh international airport

Hours of delay twice a day

2 hours 17 minutes delay in the morning from Hurghada to Cairo without any acceptable communication. Even turning off the screen at the gate. Flying back in the evening as many other tourists, and at the entrance of the AirPort, what did we see immediately? 75 minutes delay again! This is ridiculous! 90 minutes was predicted in the morning and it became 137, so what could we expect now? Finally 120 minutes again?

WARNING!DO NOT BOOK WITH AIR CAIRO!YOU WILL BE SCAMMED AT LEAST ONCE!If there is a minus star I would definitely give it to these bunch of scammers and thieves. I booked a a round trip flight for certain dates, then they changed the return flight completely by a whole 4 days! By logic, if I can’t make it in new return date, then I can’t make the whole trip at all! So I cancelled the whole flight since it was very difficult for me to find an alternative flight in short time period, and I requested a refund for the journey.The refunded me only the return ticket! DO NOT BOOK WITH #AIR_CAIRO!You will lose a lot of time and ofcourse money.

Delays, misinformation and smoking FD

Okay, I hope everyone’s sat comfortably, cause this one is gonna take a while.Firstly, I want to highlight, that this is in no way a critique of the onboard staff working the flight - they did what they could with what they had to work with.Let’s go back to the morning of the flight. We arrive at the airport in VERY timely manner. We were actually there 3 hours before the flight and tried checking in, so we knew that we could ease our minds and just hang out with our kids for a while. We asked at several counters, but kept being informed that they weren’t open yet and that they wouldn’t be able to check us in until much later.We checked the screens again and again; no information.Then finally, the time was approaching a critical limit, so we went to every single counter and could finally see a tiny sign at a counter where we had already asked for information.Yeah, they had closed the check in and told us that we were not gonna be let on board. Obviously this got us not only upset, but sad and very confused as well. Another couple behind us were going through the same and had tried checking their app on the phone, where nothing had been reported until the check in was closed.We fought to get an approval to enter security and was luckily let through - however; we had to run through the airport, even having planned everything so well in advance.Not only this, but the flight had also been delayed, so what was originally gonna be 3 hours at the airport, turned into about 6.Let’s fast forward to boarding.Prior to the flight, I had been researching what strollers were allowed onboard the carrier. We went out and got one with the exact weight and dimensions described. But when we got to the counter, they were hesitant to let us on board.Please Google Joolz Aer+ and you’ll understand why we were a bit frustrated with their hesitation, especially when instructions were clear on their website.Luckily we managed to get it on board and the boarding process was fine.The flight went well; I will however highlight that no one should order the meals on board. The boxes are HUGE and the food is not only boiling warm when it arrives, but also nearly impossible to consume.And now to the kicker .. the pilots were 100% smoking in the FD. The entire cabin was like an ashtray and I’m actually surprised that the crew didn’t react. My husband experienced the same on Egypt Air, so maybe Egyptian pilots just find it appropriate to risk people’s lives and light cigarettes at their convenience. I can’t stress this enough - It needs to stop !We landed safely into Hurghada and the trip back was also fine in terms of flight time and service, but the delays are ridiculous. The absolute chaos at the airport is a surprise to me. It’s not exactly like Egypt hasn’t been a destination for tourists for many years.Anyway; that’s our experience and I can see that we’re not alone. I truly hope that this airline ups their game for the future.

At the third airport check of Sharm El…

At the third airport check of Sharm El Sheik Airport, my girlfriend’s headphones went missing. Unfortunately, she only noticed once we were on the plane.When we arrived in Bari, we called the airport, and someone told us the headphones were at customs, but we had to contact the airline to get them back.We contacted Air Cairo, and airport staff said we had to go in person to customs because there was a fee to pay.We sent several emails asking how much the fee was and if the headphones could be shipped by the airline. No answer.I also called many times over several days — no one ever picked up.After days, we finally got the reply you see in the screenshot: $5 per day for storage. No solution offered.I’m Italian and not born yesterday — this is clearly a scam. Well done.And from Air Cairo, no further help at all. We were just left on our own.

Poor service

The worste customer service i have ever experienced. Delayed on the inbound 2hrs and outbound 4hrs for sharm el sheikh. Ground staff and air staff are not able to communicate effectively, even the baggage claim is delayed. Avoid this airline at all costs.

Unacceptable Delay and Lack of Basic Passenger Care

I recently traveled with Air Cairo on a flight from Cairo to Hurghada, which was delayed for over six hours without adequate communication or support. Despite assurances that water, drinks, and basic assistance would be provided to waiting passengers, nothing materialized.It is extremely disappointing — and frankly unacceptable — for an airline to fail to meet even the most basic standards of passenger care during a lengthy delay. No explanations, no updates, no service.This experience reflects a serious failure in customer service and operational management. Compensation for the undue hardship and inconvenience caused should be promptly offered. Regrettably, based on this experience, I will not be choosing Air Cairo for any future travel and cannot recommend them to others.
