I bought a Greenworks lawnmower and it stopped working the very first time I used it. I immediately called their customer service and explained the issue. The representative tried to troubleshoot with me, but we couldn’t get it working.To make matters worse, I was told that the warranty is void the moment you use the mower, which makes absolutely no sense for a product designed to be used. Their only solution was for me to pay out of pocket for repairs, and the nearest authorized repair person is over 100 miles away.This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better from a company that markets itself as eco-friendly and reliable. I strongly recommend avoiding Greenworks products altogether due to poor quality and even worse customer support.
So as I was about to post my review I noted the number of dissatisfied clients. I am of the opposite opinion having to deal with a battery issue from a purchase from 3 years ago. The battery is under warranty and a new one is being shipped today. I reached Customer Service on the phone as well as following up on a Chat. Great service. Honest opinion that I will never hesitate to give if deserved.
Greenworks ~ Product Non-information & Mis-information! Returned (2) new unopened/unused 60v chainsaw & snow shovel tools (simultaneously as FedEx delivered/picked up), which found out after-the-fact, given No Product & Battery Compatibility information whatsoever, and were incompatible with my existing 60v tractor motor batteries; further, they deducted $40 for each. Keturn a nave Not Kerunaea (1) or the Keturns even after 2+ months. Even wrote Senior management, No Response, and this is a Company, which simply Does Not Care!!!Greenworks Product Information, Customer Service & Support is equal to or worse than have ever experienced! Esp. Product Non-information & Misinformation and Returns & Refunds!!
I,ve been waiting almost 2 months for the delivery of a Grass Strimmer, took my money 15/5/25.Numerous emails to them but only automatic reply.No way of tracking the order.No way would II buy from them againOrd No Uk9214.G J Squire
I've tried 5 times to get a return request acknowledged for a lawn mower that I don't want as I've ordered a more powerful one. I was told to refuse the order when it was delivered which I couldn't as we were at work! Nobody has bothered getting back to me & there is no way of contacting them! Disgusting customer service I really don't believe you're that busy. It says reply to e-mail but this bounces back! My order number is UK11307 if you can be bothered sending me a return label!
Do NOT purchase from Greenworkstools.co.uk! Ordered a spare mower blade over a month ago. Allegedly dispatched next day, but I've never received it, and despite numerous attempts to contact customer services, no-one will tell me where it is or cancel the order and issue a refund, as I have requested on several occasions. Had a couple of meaningless and unhelpful responses to my case, then deafening silence and no resolution. Cannot talk to anyone on phone or any other way other than starting a "case" online, which nobody responds to. Shocking way to do business. Will now have to pursue refund through credit card company. Would never ever buy anything Greenworks again. It's like buying a car you can't get parts for: Utterly useless and waste of money!Update: Have now received a sarcastic response from Greenworks - no apology - and a refund. Apparently my order was "lost in transit". I love the mower, but would still never buy from them again given how shockingly they treat customers!
BROKEN TOOL AFTER ONE USE, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE AFTER 2 WEEKS! AVOIDUK11548. I ordered the brush cutter with two batteries and the charger. During the first use one battery died quite rapidly. I changed the battery and within 10 minutes the next one died although it shows 3 bars. Both batteries won't charge and the brush cutter seems completely dead. Very severe vibration making the brush cutter almost unusable.I have filled out the return form and contact form 3 times over the past 3 2 weeks and no response.My review isn't the only one so don't make the same mistake!
The worst customer service on the planet. I received a defective chemical sprayer purchased directly from their warehouse. Refusing return. Not shipping new one. They want me to go to a repair shop that is over 50 miles from my house. This is a total joke of a company. Avoid greenworks at all cost. Do not buy into their ecosystem. Go elsewhere !!! Btw, my order number is Order #60000006453 if someone truly cares at greenworks.
I tried to return an unused mower bag that didn’t fit. Their return policy says you can submit a return within 30 days of delivery, which I did. Then they refused the return, citing hidden fine print that says the item must be received at their warehouse within 30 days, even though they send their own shipping label after submission. This contradiction in their policy is misleading, unfair, and feels like a shady loophole to block refunds. I have filed an FTC complaint and recommend caution—if you need to return anything, act fast and document everything.
I had a reason to return a hedge trimmer which I ordered wrongly. I emailed Greenworks requesting a return a full refund and within 48 hours Melanie from customer service was back in touch and a refund was arranged without fuss. Greenworks have also arranged to collect the unwanted item. Excellent service despite some very poor ratings which is far from the truth if my experience is anything to go by thank you Melanie
